  • This reminds me of Anglachel / Gurthang, from Tolkien's "The Silmarillion". It was forged by Eol, a dark elf, and then later re-forged. It was described to have a dark blade with edges that "shone with pale fire". Which reminds me of the copper used. The story fits this sword almost perfectly. Just thought it was a neat coincidence.

TO LOVE HIM OR TO LOVE SIN/THIS WORLD. CALL UPON JESUS & ASK HIM TO FORGIVE YOUR SINS! SURRENDER YOUR WILL & YOUR LIFE TO HIM AND HE WILL GIVE YOU ETERNAL LIFE IN HEAVEN! PICTURE YOUR BEST DAY ON EARTH TIMES A BILLION FOR ETERNITY, THAT'S HEAVEN! NOW PICTURE YOUR WORST DAY ON EARTH TIMES A BILLION FOR ETERNITY, THAT'S HELL! HE WILL GIVE YOU WHAT YOU WANT IF YOU REJECT HIM, TOTAL SEPARATION FROM HIM & HIS BLESSINGS (LOVE, PEACE, JOY, HOPE, FRIENDS, FAMILY, REST, ETC). IN HELL YOU WILL BE ALONE, YOU WILL BE HOPELESS, YOU WILL BE IN DESPAIR & AGONY FOREVER! GOD'S STANDARD FOR HEAVEN IS PERFECTION AND ONLY JESUS (THE SON OF GOD, GOD IN THE FLESH) LIVED THAT PERFECT LIFE AND LAID DOWN HIS LIFE AS AN OFFERING FOR ALL PEOPLE'S SINS! YOU CAN CHOOSE TO REJECT JESUS' GIFT & PAY FOR YOUR OWN SIN WITH DEATH (HELL) BUT THAT SEEMS PRETTY FOOLISH! GOD SEES & HEARS EVERYTHING YOU HAVE SAID & DONE. YOU WONT WIN AN ARGUMENT ON JUDGEMENT DAY & YOU CANT DEFEND ANY OF YOUR SINS. WE'RE ALL GUILTY WITHOUT ACCEPTING JESUS' SACRIFICE FOR OUR SINS! MUHAMMAD DIDN'T DIE FOR YOUR SINS, BUDDHA DIDN'T DIE FOR YOUR SINS, NO PASTOR/PRIEST/MARY OR SAINT DIED FOR YOUR SINS, NO IDOLS OR FALSE GODS DIED FOR YOUR SINS, NO ACTOR OR CELEBRITY DIED FOR YOUR SINS, NO ATHLETE OR POLITICIAN DIED FOR YOUR SINS! JESUS CHRIST ALONE DIED FOR YOUR SINS & WAS RESURRECTED FROM THE GRAVE! HE IS ALIVE & COMING BACK SOON WITH JUDGEMENT! PREPARE YOURSELVES! IT'S NOT ABOUT RELIGION, TITHING, CHURCH... IT STARTS WITH ASKING HIM TO FORGIVE YOUR SINS & INVITING HIM INTO YOUR HEART/LIFE, SURRENDER ALL TO HIM! IT'S ABOUT A RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR CREATOR, DONT WAIT TO CRY OUT! NO ONE IS PROMISED TOMORROW! HE LONGS FOR YOU TO INVITE HIM IN, HE LOVES YOU MORE THAN ANY PERSON EVER COULD, HE CREATED YOU! Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."-John 14:6 "But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven."-Matthew 10:33 “For the wages of sin is death (hell), but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”-Romans 6:23

  • This is by far one of the best copper Damascus steel builds from what I have seen online. Hope you can make a full-size sword like this soon. It might be a challenge. If possible try using a copper-nickel alloy between the copper and the 15N20 steel. It may stick better together since copper and nickel like to diffuse into each other.

  • Ooh! This is such a beautiful piece of art. The colors, pattern, engraving, and wood pattern unify harmoniously to give this short sword an authentic fantasy look, yet it's functional and practical to use. I love the how the wavey pattern of the Damascus is embellished with the waves created by the copper, making the edge look like smooth sea waves terminating at the ridge created by the bevel running across the edge profile of the blade. It is artistically pleasing to look at, and the video encapsulates your journey phenomenally. Love it through and through.

I know I didn't want it to be a sword, or even a short sword, but a big ass elven "bowie" hunting knife (as far as size, not so much the style of a traditional bowie knife) if that gives an idea of what I'm imagining. What was made here is damn close to what I was imagining.

  • A beautiful blade. For it to come out straight after the quench is great, well done. Nice job.

  • My only suggestion: Split this into a four-video series so that you can monetize more…this blade is worth it!!! Excellent craftsmanship

    • This already has a 4 part series. Note, that doesn’t get you more money. To go viral, it’s better to have a single video. Thanks for watching.

  • Absolutely Beautiful. A Work of art I loved the wood on the handle and the Copper REALLY magnifies the appearance. And that's to not even mention the Beauty of the Damascus folding !! I Wish I had known about your techniques when I took Shop in high school, I'd love to have made one. Thank you.
