  • I look at it this way: You have successfully done a Pure-Vanilla server: Hermitcraft II. It was very successful and entertaining. I feel Hermitcraft III should focus on video quality and entertainment value. That is ultimately the goal of any KZheadr; to produce high-quality content that their audience loves to watch. Any modifications or "Tweaks" you make to improve the quality can be justified. Single-player sleeping, "Weather Feather", anti-griefing, cameraman accounts, even spectator-mode flying for exploring is all fine by me.

    @austin30233@austin302339 жыл бұрын
    • austin30233 Awsum :-) I think you really understand our goal here

      @xisumavoid@xisumavoid9 жыл бұрын
    • Not so sure about the spectator thingy, you could go underground and see diamonds, can't you? On the other side... Hermitcraft is no competition, if someone really can't hold it and wants to have all the diamonds or similiar things, he may do - his/her viewers will judge him/her. So if I think about it once more, why not? As long as it's entertaining (and is so also in the long run), everything should be allowed.

      @RimaNari@RimaNari9 жыл бұрын
    • RimaNari When in spectator mode, the only diamonds that you would see would be in lit up caves, so no cheaty cheaty diamonds for the hermits :D

  • I think the big tree is a good idea, but not that specific tree. The one that is there now looks weird because of the very skinny trunk, but if you ignore that then it looks good having a little bit of the thing blocked off. I feel you should make a custom tree there just for the sake of a thicker trunk. Maybe if you do that then you could throw a little pond sort-of thing at the roots.

  • two things, 1. nothing ruins a world like destroying nature and flattining the land.............just gross, try removing the trees building the building and THEN replace the trees to fit your need. 2. Speaking of good landscaping i have a suggestion for a new hermit crafter, GoodTimesWithScar, he is a exceptionally good swimmer who got a disease which put him very weak in a wheelchair, which put him on the path ofminecraft and art..............he is a really good builder and BEAUTIFUL terraforming skills, all with the good attitude which i bealive you prefer...............................please check him out, if you dont want to invite him the worst thing that happened is you saw an amazing youtube video

  • Liked the timelapse, but i wish xisuma would embrace the amlified theme a bit more and not only make 45° slopes and flat areas, but rock walls, overhangs, caves, ravines, waterfalls, snowy areas, more trees, bushes, gras and stuff like that to really create interesting terrain between the buildings.

  • I have to say that I've got the hang of 60FPS; it looked really funky at first, but now that I've watched a couple hours of footage, it feels normal. If it isn't really a cost, I'd suggest you kept it, since it's optional if someone doesn't like it, yet I can't do without it now that I've got used to it D:

I think it would look especially good on the big one you just planted by the stairs which will get really dark at night, seeing as how its underneath that hanging cliff. Love the videos, btw!

  • We've played our realm for a year....We just have a chest full of dirt (and another of each block) and we take turns patrolling and filling in the missing blocks. None of us want mob griefing off, because then it isn't vanilla. Three times now creeper explosions would have effected other hermits' builds had it been vanilla, so I"m glad you've figured out a way to solve it without leaving it off! Not that I enjoy seeing your builds GET exploded, just that it does effect game play and resources. :) (Also I know it's silly commenting on such old videos, but when I think of things I like to get them out, and I think also maybe some times it's something that someone may not have thought of, or might enjoy hearing or be able to use in some way.)

  • Just a recommendation, keep some of the endercrystals, you can beat the dragon anyway but they look cool if anybody wants to build stuff in the end

    @hdunkel@hdunkel9 жыл бұрын
    • Do you know how hard it is to beat him with the crystals impossible because he will keep regening and never die

      @classicwrestlingcontent8591@classicwrestlingcontent85919 жыл бұрын
    • It is possible to generate them back into the end but its kinda annoying to get the dragon away from the crystals to kill it.

      @Ajecture@Ajecture9 жыл бұрын
    • Ajecture did it the last couple times oO well I had diamond armour and shit, but they should be able to do it. Last time I beat the dragon I safed atleast 5 of them, even though I ran out of arrows after half of the dragons health so I had to use the sword. I guess it was kind of annoying/frustrating, at one point I had im down to 1/3 of health left and he regened back to 2/3, but if you pull him to one corner of the island it is doable, because he will most likely fly to you and if they then hit him all the time he will constantly change directions so he wont actually move from the position he is at. And if they reach that point, it should be fairly easy, especially if atleast one person always lands a hit on him. Long story short, it is not too hard to do that

  • I like the funky tree. It's a nice, natural, detail that could be sculpted to work better with your build. However the fact that it hasn't been groomed/pruned to fit makes the build feel older and a little more lived it. Roll with it. And btw, uh-KAY-shia, not a-CATCH-uh.

  • xisuma, one Idea I had for a world tour on this map is you could put everyone in spectator mode, then in the chat you could type a command to toggle between spectator and adventure mode, that way people could use a mouse scroll to go places faster without typing in tons of tp commands. also, this lets redstoners, such as myself, check out the redstone of peoples builds that we aren't subscribed to. please think about implementing this

  • The tree is good, I like how the stairs dissapear behind it. If you do keep it, I'd suggest maybe clearing a little out of the middle top so you can peer between the leaves as you come down the stairs, and thickening up the trunk.

  • I think you should make a train station once the hermits move away from the starting area. Yes you could move through the nether, but then you cant really enjoy the amplified as much. You could do a collab where you build a realy fancy station where its easy to add new rails, so that everyone that wants to can do it. You could make some really awesome shots on the way or your base and visitors would be able to see it as well of course. I mean who wouldnt love an epic entrance to your base?

  • I'm glad you guys are moving the spawn chunks. I was wondering what you were going to do with it being so far away from Hermit Hills. The tree looks great where it is. One suggestion I have would be add some depth to you transitional phase of your stair case. You have the andesite and wood flush with each other, I would put one of those blocks back one, and maybe put glass panes, or fence in the gap just to give it some new texture. As far as "Prettifying" the area, I think False should be put in charge of that! She does such a great job with that kind of stuff. Thanks for the episode!

  • xisuma, when you try to mod out endermen griefing you don't go into the picking-up-code and try to disable it. You go to the "check if mob-griefing is on" and tell the enderman code to always think the mob griefing is off, if you do changes to the .jar that is. I even added a new gamerule "doEnderGriefing" when I did some testing.

  • That Enderman griefing idea is pretty neat. I also dislike their griefing tendencies, because I always have to spend a while patching up things for it to just be removed. I'm indifferent on the ideas of moving spawn chunks to benefit gameplay or the commands to remove the ender-griefing. I have a purist tendency in Minecraft, haha. The spawn is looking much better, though. The tree is nice, but it could do with some more touching up to make it seem better fit.

  • I like the way you handle the server with this little changes (one player sleeps the night away, enderman don't destroy the landscape and moving the spawn chunks). How about going a step further? Make some things available for the players which are available not in survival. But you have to achieve something, i.e. winning the UHC or a build competition. The prize for winning this would be a creaper spawner, a water source for the nether, two command blocks only to use as teleporter for quick travel. Some stuff that change not to much but give a little comfort or make crazy contraptions possible (stack of bedrock/barrier for a wither cage).

    @masi416@masi4169 жыл бұрын
    • I don't think giving them command blocks or spawners would really fit well. The changes they have made already are just subtle changes in order to improve gameplay. Adding in actual blocks that are not obtainable in survival might be pushing it a bit. Just my opinion though. :)

If its not something you'are familiar with I have some experience and even have 2 tutorials on trees up so far! Looking forward to whatever ya do!

  • One thing i could never understand is trying to grow trees when you are picky about how it will look. I have always made my trees, so i could control how it looks. I understand if you need to plant a lot of trees, but if you have that one centerpiece it's just easier to make it.

  • I like the idea of a tree there but maybe build a custom tree. maybe make it lean out away from the cliff and steps like its trying to get as much sunlight as possible. Great job X

  • xisumavoid In addition to a discussion of the community area's topography, I hope you and the other members talked about its decided name because not everyone seems to be clear on it. Not that it's extremely important, but Mumbo just the other day referred to it as Hermiton and you call it Hermit Hills; between the two of you, new viewers might get confused.

  • awesome video X! finally got around to fixing a problem in my browser reacting to 60fps and i gotta say, i enjoyed this episode tons! some stuff i wanna say, firstly, i dont like the trees too much, they kinda look off, maybe you should make the trees by hand, so block by block instead of saplings, and make it so that it is much smaller and less leafy, so people can look through it. other than that, u also might as well just remove the tree, that view in the back looks gorgeous! now the next thing i wanna ask, can u give us some terraforming, oh wait, 'landscaping' tips to us? :P great video! loved it!
