When a woman fell ill in Istanbul, Turkey, her Golden Retriever wanted to ride with her to the hospital, but was denied entry into the ambulance. Do you think that stopped the dog? Not a chance. I watched a similar video some years ago, the paramedics allowed the dog to go with his owner inside the ambulance. It should be like that always because when a person gets hit by car or has to be taken to the E.R. for some other reason, the person has the right to be accompanied by a relative or friend and a dog is both a friend and a relative. A human can take a shower and reduce the amount on them considerably and wear protective equipment while a dog only gets his bath few times a week depending on owner. Dogs can still be very hyper active even in tense situations, a dirty dog right next to a possibly open wound is the last thing you want.

We snuck my Grandma’s chihuahua in my purse to see her in the hospital. My grandma cried with happiness and got better faster so she could watch old movies with her on the couch. The little Taco Bella never barked to give away our secret while we snuck around with her. When we did have to put her in a home they agreed to let me bring her dog everyday as long as she visited with other patients too. She dutifully accepted hugs and kisses from strangers so she could lay in my grandma’s lap everyday until she passed.
What a beautiful story. Sorry for your loss 💜

@Sophie S The needles aren't exposed. If you're referring to the IV, I doubt the dog would do anything to mess with that, he seemed very well behaved. But I do understand that the idiots out there would be like, "well she got to bring her dog so why can't I?" Not seeing the insane dedication this dog has to it's owner.
I mean, in all fairness to the medical staff on that ambulance, the priority of an ambulance is to get someone to the hospital ASAP.

Its actually an overpowering instinct to serve and protect their owner, on top of a sense of smell that's 10k-100k stronger than ours and their part of the brain that's responsible for smell is 40% larger than ours makes the location of the hospital irrelevant the dog would've smelled out the ambulance trail and it's owner. The dog would've smelled its owner plus the scent she was giving off from being hurt and scared.
They didn't treat this lovely doggo right. They let him run all the way, not even a drink of water afterwards ..☹️
