I wonder why they never made it to/in Australia. And I think I saw my first otter today.
Australia was the first continent to wander away in the break of pangea, most of the animals who stayed there suffered a different evolutionary process to those in any other place. That's why they have so many animals and plants that are exclusive to their envoirnment and very few in commom with the rest of the world :)

@Blank Blank North American river otters are still hunted in some parts of the US, but sea otters are protected for the most part.
