FROM FUN TO PANIC IN 3 SEC! VERY ROUGH DAY AT HAULOVER INLET | BOAT ZONE

Haulover Inlet in Florida is a popular spot for experienced boaters seeking a thrill. Known for its challenging conditions and strong currents, the inlet connects the Atlantic Ocean to the Intracoastal Waterway and is famous for its rough waves and strong winds, which can make boating hazardous. Despite the risks, many boaters are drawn to the inlet's challenging conditions and the opportunity to navigate through it.

  • Why would someone put their child in danger when we have published so many videos warning about this situation that is getting more out of control? Every summer, we know that accidents will increase at Haulover due to the irresponsibility of captains and parents. How can Boat Zone contribute to stopping this type of behavior?

    • I agree, parents and people should never put a child's life at risk. I also think if it is on your bucket list, at 64, you have to give it a go on your own in the smallest boat you can get on one of the "no small boat warning" days. Life jacket will be worn with an oxygen canister just in case. Scuba gear if you know what I mean.

    • @@conservativerealist I would agree on some of the adults we see on here, however the children are not been given the choice nor have they developed the intellect to recognize the danger. The parents must pay a huge monetary price before the pay the ultimate price of loosing a child.

    • Is it not possible for the responsible authority or a combination of, to agree and enforce a compulsory lifejackets wearing zone? Say 1/2 mile from the inlet in each direction. Camera enforcement is easy nowadays.

    • They are called "fenders" or sometimes erroneously called "bumpers" (which are attached to the docks). Both are used to keep boat hulls from banging up against docks etc. Most experienced "skippers" pull the fenders on board and secure them when underway.

  • I don't understand how there can be so many irresponsible captains who allow passengers to sit up front while traversing such extremely rough waters. We've seen how passengers have been tossed off a boat in the past. It can happen any time to anyone. Criminal negligence at the very least. And possibly even attempted murder.
