When I think my job ,or life sucks, I watch this, it puts things in perspective.
jeff - But how can you be REALLY sure your life does not suck ? just kidding. I had a paper that had all the people of the world condensed to 100. What percent by age, religion, ethnicity, race, money, etc. Bottom line was that if you were READING on your COMPUTER ... you were WAY AHEAD of the vast majority.
@@stevejette2329 So very true. If you have electric power, you are ahead of the bottom 50%. The same 50% if you can read. If you have a computer you are ahead of 75%. If you have a modern computer, you are ahead of 80%. If you are sitting in a nice clean room, with heat and air, you are in the top 10%.
My machine shop is air conditioned. Where does that put me?
I like the way these guys just beat the crap out of stuff. Obviously lots of years of experience.
The wobble of the drill bit is priceless...😂
They fixed it and there's your dinner.
16:05 RIP the bearings in that lathe head.
No precision here. It's a case of, it'll do, close enough. Lol.
ADMIRE THESE GUYS. NO MATTER WHAT, WE THINK OF THEIR WORK ETHICS. THEY KICK ASS. GOD BLESS THEM
They must have the best foot doctors in the world over there and the most numerous .
the fact they have these holding jigs makes you think this is a weekly occurance!....still pretty amazing..
Yes, A jig ready and waiting? WTF??
Actually, I believe that parts are difficult to get and if they can find it it would cost them a fortune to buy. So it's more about self reliance than anything else. Also I honestly think they are are undertaking those repairs in the most practical way...bear in mind, that is not America, where you can buy cheap parts on every corner. They're very brave and hardworking, patience and have a good understanding of metalwork
Parts such as this are not 'cheap' and in US the legal liability for such a repair, even done to closer to first world standards would be so high that no repair shop would contemplate it. Now an individual on his own vehicle, maybe but even there the liability should someone else be injured would be high.
You are kidding right? This is garbage repair. If they caused an accident and severely injured someone here in Australia, and inspectors find that it was the repair that caused it them they would either pay a big fine or face jail time. If they can't afford the part, then take the truck off the road until they can that repair is not safe at all, especially when you are talking about a part that has to handle heavy loads and heavy impacts on rough roads.
@@w.w77 You are a fool! These guys are working for peanuts! A new shaft would probably cost more than all the men's monthly wages - and maybe import restrictions mean the genuine part is unavailable!
Did you know that these cheap parts found on every American corner are made right there in India? Now you know.
Hats off to these guys ! Standard of living a bit different from us wealthy folks so repair it ! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
One redeeming thing about this for me is that, in the 3 houses I have owned, I have never had a garage, just a carport, and never had concrete to work on where crawlers or other things with wheels would work, just gravel or dirt. I've laid down 3/4 inch plywood over ground so I could use my engine crane. Plus, it seemed, that every big project I had to accomplish was in the dead of winter where it was in the 20's and 30's with the ground like a block of ice to lay on. So, watching these fellows working with dirt for a floor is catharsis.
That’s one more use of a lathe that I had not anticipated..!
Safety glasses, safety gloves, safety toe sandals? You betcha. These guys can build anything with a torch, big hammer, hydraulic jack, lathe, and a pair of tweezers. I would hope that these guys get paid a decent wage for their area. Unbelievable people. If Pakistan and India has truck weigh scales, these folks would be out of a job. Great work, great videos.
fro - Like the Cubans who keep U.S. muscle cars from the 50s going, in spite of not having replacement parts. Making parts, repairing, improvising, sometimes with boat motors ...
Top Arbeitssicherheit
29:00 "When I nod my head, you hit it."
I believe the secret behind these repairs and the faith they have in them lays in the coating of the weldingrods they use... This is made of the same material used to make the safety flipflops/slippers/sandals they use which is a secret compound but highly effective and resiliant .......
Safety flipflops... LOL ...
Love watching these guys, good video and thanks for showing us 👍 👏 ❤
Wonderful People... Great ingenuity and talent for work...!!!!! ( Gente Maravillosa... Gran ingenio y talento para el trabajo...!!!!!)
Nothing's irreplaceably broken when men of ingenuity reside.
In the time it takes to make this repair a good machinist could make a brand new axle. Its a simple part with few critical fits and not much material to remove. A smart machine shop owner would have these ready made in stock. Then they would have a new shaft they could throw in the dirt.
Very beautiful and strong work
Riesengroße Achtung und Respekt , vor diesen Fleißigen Menschen ! Klasse !!!
Work Hard and Win The World.👍
All osha approved. Love the safety sandals
One of the first things they teach you is to never hit leaf springs with a Hammer. It stresses them, susceptible to breaking at point of Impact!.
The most terrifying horror movie I've ever seen!
There is a marvelous new invention called a "workbench". Much more efficient than working on precision parts in the dirt. It also keeps parts cleaner!
yes indeed, but a workbench would cost them the equivalent of two month's wages, and they're already spending every penny on food, clothes, and shelter. Nothing left over for such a frill as good tools, power tools and a clean and comfortable working environment.
All they have not bad work
they do however have money for cell phones!@@georgegonzalez2476
Never forget, these guys are extremly poor and also have to feed their 10 children every day. Most of them are so hungry, after some minutes they can't hold their newest smartphone no longer, it falls off their hands and breaks on the floor. So sad.
These broken axles must happen quite alot for them to have a pre-made jig for removing the spindles.
Oh, this truck will be back soon.
Omg I know these guys aren't working to high engineering standards but those off-centre holes are doing my head in
Just get on!! Love the way they all muck, no moaning!!😊sound❤
Bendiciones.
I can't help but wonder how heavy the hammer with the colorful handle weighs. A real Commander!
It takes a lot of faith to think that this repair is going to be even half as strong as the original axle. Good luck with that.
Yep, just now thinking the same 💩.
It's a joke.
But they only charge $20 for the repair..
@@MrSychnantI ,have a lot off respect for these people
That's not an axel they repaired.
Congratulations from Brazil. 🔝🔟👍👏👏👏
Muy bien explicado muchas gracias
You guys are so cool love watching you
Super hard work but as usual we westerners cannot believe the repaired part will be as strong as the original item!
It was nice to have the right fixture!
Love the uniforms and safety foot wear
good work guys you are professional. i like this video thank you
Absolute astonishing! This must have been one of the best kept secrets from pakistani rocket sciences. And I'm sure, most tolerances are guaranteed less than 2 fingers.
Their neighbour went to the moon!
It's a very simple fitting system. Either it fits or it doesn't ...😉
@@alivdee9946 Makes sense. And to be on the safe side, all tolerances should be between 5 and 10 fingers.
Je vous admire ! Vous êtes géniaux .
These guys get good value out of every piece of equipment they have and use. Not at all wasteful of materials, time maybe.
you guys are pure genious
Impressionante o trabalho, parabéns
First thing it comes to my mind when I see videos like this is ''they toookk our jobs ''' :))
I’ve watched a few of these road side repairs for the amusement content, fair enough they do their best with what they have, but you just can’t weld together original special heat treated heavy stressed parts such has axles and crankshafts, there potential dangerous failures. And the health and safety, wow, open welding at side of the road,, flip flops, and I’m still waiting to see a concrete workshop floor with work benches. But on the plus side these are the guys you’d won’t with you when you’d broken down miles from anywhere. Great stuff.
These poor dudes are always working in the dirt, on the ground, with makeshift tools and they are filthy dirty all the time. But they get it done somehow. Amazing.
2:06 HAMMERING THE SHAFT XD and the title " Finally Mechanic Done A Completely Great Job" IS FUNNY.
I saw that! Things can go wrong easily when people are watching you work. LOL
Super, c'est très bien réaliser.
Stronger then it ever was.
Kkkkk. Parabéns Para esses guerreiros 👏👏🌹
Wow, he has a micrometer to measure stuff, that's a new tool.
Here you go. Don't overload, don't go over bumps or in pot holes. Oh, nevermind, see you next week.
The thumbnail makes it look like they are a sort of mech elf. They look tiny, their voices are also chipmunked, lastly they don't sweat or swear like hell.
The video is speed up giving the chipmunk sound
Glad I'm not putting my life or other peoples lives at risk driving that truck
It is interesting the standards of safety around the world. The transportation, the work conditions. This video could not be done in Europe or North America, well with the exception of Mexico. I do love it though, they couldn't get it with their fixture and so they went to the Big Press.
Bom trabalho 😁👍
Do they have to throw every single thing in the dirt before they work on it?
When your only tool is a hammer... Everything looks like a nail.
It was a miricle that they brought this back to life with primitive tools .
I like watching these guys make something out of nothing with nothing. We just throw things away because we can, they can't and labour is probably very cheap. At least the welder was wearing a welding visor.
Wonderful work by these guys, I would imagine that any mechanical breakage is fixable when everyone else has just scratched their head. Brilliant job guys and thanks for sharing your skills with us. So very well done!
good work
actually at 27:44 the shaft does look to have had major weld repair previously and latest break is in a different place so presumably whatever metal the shaft is works well with whatever welding rod is used. overloading and bad roads necessitate these repairs.
This whole process just screams quality. 🙂
LOW quality!!
Forget the suspension, weld the axles to the frame
I HAVE MORE SCARES FROM 7018 LO HI RODS THEN ANY OTHER RODS. THE FLUX CAN STICK TO SKIN, WORST WHEN IT FALLS IN THE GLOVES , HOW THESE BROTHERS DO IT IS BEYOND ME. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
how these men have all there toes amazes me.
Wobbly drill in the center hole
Can you imagine having a repair performed here in the states and they proceeded to do work in this manner? Everything is taken apart and placed on a dirt floor? Yikes.
Aferın bu torna ustasına. Kırık orta bağlantı milini çok güzel kaynattı. İşin zoru tamirciye kaldı. O kadar ağır parçayı şaşiye monte edecekler. Kolay gelsin ustalar.
Love his steel toed safety shoes.
incredible!
amazing. strong people
Having the earth ark through the bearings must have done the machine the world of good and the smash the out of centre shaft into it finished it off.lol😂
