I made this video to show TC wanderer owners how to remove the rear guard and side cover panels. I also took the opportunity to explain some of the internal components of the bike, how to prevent rust and safety from the DC voltage on the controller.
If you’re only interested in the cover removal only, you can watch the video from start to 11m 45s.

  • Thanks Ray. That was a really useful video. The weather here has been dreadfully wet. I hate to think how rusty the swing arm is already. The charging problem with my bike persists until the first service in January. I now run the bike with just one battery in & it has done wonders for the handling , comfort & pick up of speed on small rises. I have found out Soco have a TC PRO Wanderer in the pipeline. So as soon as i can get one i will P/X my Wanderer in for one. Reputedly it has a top speed of 59 miles per hour. Your bike is in great shape so well done for keeping it like that. I also see you’ve done rim tape. Mine is sat in an envelope on the to do list when the weather improves. Excellent video as always Keep safe Steve

    • Hi Steve, the TC Pro has appeared on the Japanese SOCO website from last month but no pictures or performance data yet. No I haven't done the rim tape yet. That was a gold pin strip for testing. I will do the rim tape in the next few weeks and make an install video.

  • I have a super soco ts1200r as you can derestrict them with out any modification quick question is the charger for the wanderer still louder than the bike ?

    • Nice question. Yes, they still wake the dead, here in Japan you get a 4 amp charger and the fan noise is quite loud for charging in the house. The European models come with a 10 amp air cooled version but they run hot to the touch. I’m going to make my own version that is a 10 amp fan cooled but with lower noise.

  • Hi ! Thanks for sharing. Are the batteries 60V nominal ? 67.2V when fully charged ?

    • Hi , thanks for watching my video. Fully charged the battery s 69.2v I just double checked. Normally the battery should be 71.4v 17s configuration, however, Super Soco battery's BMS cuts the charge at 69.2v to prolong battery life. In other words, the battery is never quite at 100% SOC.

    • Crystal clear ! Thanks again One last question please : how both batteries are plugged and managed ? Are they plugged in parallel and both have the same tension ? Or is it a different kind of system that is managed by the controller ? The dashboard shows the battery status from each one, so they should be independent but I dont know how the switch is operated between the batteries.

    • @@Med-Amine Both batteries are in parallel and both batteries are discharged at the same time. The display shows a battery 'A' and battery 'B'. This is set by the smaller battery terminal pins (see link below) and is used for display purposes only. wiki.voltgaraz.cz/index.php/Battery_connector#Gen_2 Running one battery will give you 32ah and 64ah with two. thanks very much
