So the news came in, that Khamzat tried to cut weight, but it was a bad weight cut. His body started cramping and twitching. The UFC sent the UFC doctor to check-up on him and advise. The UFC doctor advised Khamzat's team to not let him cut any more water weight, as it could lead to life-threatening conditions. That is why Khamzat missed weight. He was cutting from 85kg, which is 187 pounds. Got it down to 178, and his body gave in.

This isn't true because A) Main Event fight contract pays more!, B) Nate Victory is better on his resume, C)now he gets no PPV points because it isn't a Main Event Fight anymore! So monetarily speaking this wasn't what was contracted, considering the shit show that occurred on Thursday Press and the fans raging that Dana threw UFC HOFamer against a up and coming WOLF he had to re think this before all hell broke lose after the fight. HE can easily cut that weight with the SPA BAG, it drains 1lb of water per hour. he had 7 hours before weight ins and they stopped him around 3-4am Friday morning. So All the evidences point that Dana needed to restructure this card for the fans. In hindsight he saved this card from being one sided and we get to see some interesting fights play out.

BORZ is huge for a welterweight,and could for sure bang with middleweight no problem. So for him to fight Diaz who tops out at 170 or so would be fucked up to go in THAT heavy. Just wish he were more professional about not making weight, the cutting is half the battle. If in his next fight he doesn't make weight he may as well make the jump up. But Nate vs. Tony should have been the first match up to begin with.

Let's be honest, who really wanted to see Khamzat vs Diaz ? And all of a sudden Khamzat misses weight by 7.5 pounds, that's not a weight cut fail, that means he didn't even try. You have a different take on it than me. I like it tho. I felt more like, the pieces just fit together so we'll, tony vs Nate is SUCH a good fight imo. Leech vs d rod is competitive and they are both decent names at this point for the fans that don't miss a UFC card. Cumshot vs Kevin seems much more competitive. I feel like the UFC got us all emotionally invested in what we thought was going to be a brutal slaughter for two OGs that deserve respect. Instead we get an INSANE match up that I never even though of, and the rest of the card just makes alot more sense. Also the fact that the UFC doctor allegedly stopped khamzats weight cut, makes me think the UFC orchestrated this. They realized this was the move to make.

Everyone liked this guy a couple days ago. In as fast as it takes to be announced off weight, fans turn on him. He also sounds unsure of himself a little on the mic for the first time in my memory. This is really WWE-like from the UFC. Despite having their fights set in stone, they "stop" Chimaev from completing his weight cut to enable the Holland fight. Dana was saying yesterday that the fights wouldn't change despite what happened backstage, but it appears that they found a way to change them without them being the ones to blame.

Yeah that’s a theory, not proven. Just as valid as any other theory for hazmat. Khamzat should have made weight ultimately, the ufc doctors don’t make decisions for his workouts and he can make weight if he wants too. He missed it and was causing issues backstage, maybe he put on extra weight in hopes of fighting holland, props to Kevin for taking the fight, shame on Khamzat for missing weight.

Khamzat sure had tons of energy. Almost as if he never even tried to cut weight or something.

So the news came in, that Khamzat tried to cut weight, but it was a bad weight cut. His body started cramping and twitching. The UFC sent the UFC doctor to check-up on him and advise. The UFC doctor advised Khamzat's team to not let him cut any more water weight, as it could lead to life-threatening conditions. That is why Khamzat missed weight. You have a different take on it than me. I like it tho. I felt more like, the pieces just fit together so we'll, tony vs Nate is SUCH a good fight imo. Leech vs d rod is competitive and they are both decent names at this point for the fans that don't miss a UFC card. Cumshot vs Kevin seems much more competitive. I feel like the UFC got us all emotionally invested in what we thought was going to be a brutal slaughter for two OGs that deserve respect. Instead we get an INSANE match up that I never even though of, and the rest of the card just makes alot more sense. Also the fact that the UFC doctor allegedly stopped khamzats weight cut, makes me think the UFC orchestrated this. They realized this was the move to make.

Everyone liked this guy a couple days ago. In as fast as it takes to be announced off weight, fans turn on him. He also sounds unsure of himself a little on the mic for the first time in my memory. This is really WWE-like from the UFC. Despite having their fights set in stone, they "stop" Chimaev from completing his weight cut to enable the Holland fight. Dana was saying yesterday that the fights wouldn't change despite what happened backstage, but it appears that they found a way to change them without them being the ones to blame.
