Because the way these escape rooms were set up, if you didn't leave at a certain point, the room itself would still kill you (e.g. the one room that got really hot, the one that got really cold, etc).

@@reannavaladez3290 it's concentrated sulfuric acid, that could give you burns just in couple of seconds. But even this one takes time, there are no such acids, that could instantly dissolve human. Maybe something the size of ant, but even small mouse will need minutes. Alkaline will work better, but they only dissolves organics. Ans it's still will take hours.
There is one particular acid; Fluoroantimonic acid - it's a quintillion times (10^18) stronger than sulphuric acid and can eat anything......as you may have guessed, it can only be made in special laboratories

You know what’s a little slow to me is how they ran out of the booth and felt that the door was locked and didn’t think to run back in again and wait for the rain to end..
it didn't burn their hands, it didn't effect their clothes..but it burns everything else rofl

Dumb writing to say its hydrochloric acid. That takes hours to disolve things and wouldnt immediately damage you. Hydrochloric acid is literally whats in your stomach. The way the acid in this acts it would be sulfuric acid. And the way it melted plastic was dumb it looked like it was using heat. Acid causes things to foam and decompose not get melty

@@nithinmathewjoji7471 I work with the stuff, it still takes 4+ hours to even cause small damage - Will only take few minutes for for redness to form and be ichy/burning but no real damage. Acids aren't very deadly at all for most part bar respiration, bromide can be scary since it adsorb into the skin and can cause issues though
Sulfuric would take much longer than this as well. Sulfuric does not burn this intensely that quickly

We analyzed this scene in my university Psych class. It tricks your value system. Because neither of the other girls care about her opinion, the influencer essentially loses all her value as a person. The director uses her emotions to try and stir sympathy for her to make her stand out from the other similarly worthless things in the room from melting. Then they add insult to injury by having the other girl not give her some value back in her death by using her as a shield from the rain to save herself. The scene tricks you into caring for something worth less than the things around it that similarly are destroyed.
So why didn't the chain melt while it was raining....
So many things wrong with this scene....😂 Girl clearly has already been there, so everything's already been rained on, yet everything seems untouched until it rains on the New group? She's reaching into a container, to pull out containers to catch the rain...? Catching rain to pour on a lock that clearly would be exposed to the very rain they're trying to collect? Goes on and on...LOL
