Hi my friends! Welcome to all of my new subbies and welcome back to the oldies but goodies! ❤️ I get lots of questions every week asking how to go about splitting your monthly bills like I do if you have bills due at various days throughout the month. In this video I do my best to explain it to you and I hope it helps!

  • I used to use this method to budget for my bills because it was suggested for people with irregular income (I was payed hourly and didn't have a consistent schedule). I fell off the band wagon over the last year or so, and let me tell you this method makes all the difference! It's so easy, and I never felt like I didn't have enough money to pay all my bills and still have a little fun. Seriously do this you guys! It's so worth it!!

  • I've actually done this for years. I've fallen off the wagon and gotten myself back on again every once and a while, but I love splitting the bills so that everything comes out evenly and you always have the same amount needed from each check. Thanks for posting this!

  • Instead of taking that second paycheck and going ham with it, set aside half of next months bills and you'll be amazed how good it feels to only have to pull out half. From someone who's paycheck are normally like $400, it killed me paying my car insurance out of that. Now I set aside half and then half the next check and pay it.

    @heatherbogle2003@heatherbogle20035 жыл бұрын
    • Heather Bogle That’s exactly what she suggested doing in the video? Going ham with the second paycheck would only defeat the purpose of trying to budget/beginning to split your bills.

  • Hey, I subscribed recently and I love your videos, very helpful. I have a question, what would you suggest for me, I get paid 15 and 30th of the month, me car payment is due on the 1st and my insurance is due on the 15th, I like this method, but part of me thinks I should do it for everything except those two bills, they are about the same amount, and they are due on pay day basically, so should split my checks for everything except these two, or should I split everything including these two? Sorry it’s so long.

    @bekah21091@bekah210915 жыл бұрын
    • You can try allocatinh half of the amount of car payment on the 15th and the other half when you get paid on the 30th. This way when the 1st comes around the money is ready. Or you can use your paycheck on the 30th to pay the car payment on the first. You can pay your insurance using the check on the 15th. Check the cutoff times if applicable.

  • My boyfriend and I are trying to do a no spend month so we can pay 2 months worth of rent and 2 months worth of utilities to our landlord at once so we are always a month ahead. It will take us 1 month to save up the money if we do the no spend month and only use our money on necessities. So our rent utilities internet bill and car payment will be due on the 1st and it will be a month ahead every month instead of us paying our utilties on the 14th of the month and our rent on the 30th and the internet bill on the 9th and car payment on the 21st. Do you think that will work? Then everything would be paid by the 1st of every month.

  • I do this. My husband and I were working the same shift so we both had pay every two weeks. He then got a new job where his pay was now semi monthly, well, we had bills (all of them) come out on our biweekly pay cheque’s (yes I’m Canadian). So how the heck did we do our new budget. Well, for our biweekly bills we added them up over the 26 payments then divided the total over the new 24 pay days. We have all that money moved to a different account we have just for bills. Now when the months (2 a year) come around with the extra payments we have that extra “saved” up in the Bills account. Key is to NOT take money from the Bills account LOL
