Paying bills is no fun! I decided to make it a little more tolerable by creating this page that I will photocopy to fill out each month in my planner! I have been meaning to do this a while now, and I'm excited to finally be slightly more organized in my bill paying. Next up - BUDGETING!

Am I the only one who writes out my bill list every month? I love being able to see the credit cards/loans, etc payments disappear. It's great to look back and see some progress.

Oh, my! what a great idea!...I, too, am determined to get a budget honed down for us. (My husband has been begging me to get serious about it for several years, because he's getting worried about retirement). I began working on my 2019 budget in December. I purchased the Budget Extension pack...I really haven't been that crazy about it. I made some revisions, because it was so unlike what I've been doing for years...but it still wasn't quite right and it was TIME CONSUMING THIS is more my style! I'm super excited about it! Clever idea! I can't believe how well it copied. I can't tell the difference from the original! I'd love to see the packing list you were referring to and maybe create a chore chart/cleaning schedule?

I made a “bill & payment card” punched for happy planner. Each item is numbered and includes details. and card is decorated. Each month I move card to next monthly spread and enter the numbers with a check box on the dates they are due. Then I can see what’s coming and what I’ve done at a glance. I liked this so much I expanded the idea, on the flip side of the card I listed my incomes in a contrasting color. Now they too get check boxes. Easy to track things simply by flipping back through monthly spreads.

Great idea! I keep our master grocery list in my planner. I mark off what we need with a dry erase marker so it's reusable. I also have freezer & pantry inventory sheets in there as well.

This is going to be very helpful. I developing a budget for 2020. If I have to draw out a budget page every month, I probably won’t keep a physical tracking plan. But copying the original form for each month simplifies the project. TFS.

I love it! Very helpful because I need to do a better job at tracking my bills. It seems to be too cluttered if I try to put it on my calendar page. I definitely need to find a vertical calendar, because I think it looks much neater than the horizontal. Do you know where I can find vertical calendar pages?

Yes I do this in my planner but I do with lots of color, somehow it makes it seem fun I decorate it each month

I agree with you. I have a bright budget book. I've always loved stickers and thought I was going to love it. But because I plan paycheck to paycheck and not like monthly. I think the only ones I use are the account stickers, the inspiration quotes, The ones that say payday transfer or bill. I think the sticker shiney kind is not good quality like the quotes fall off the filler paper all the time. I have no idea why.
@angelabellissimo3921 oh that's weird the stickers aren't staying! I've actually got into digital journaling/planning so I haven't gotten new stickers in probably a year and a half. But, I do my budgeting on my Google sheet when I remember to log it there. 🤣

nc27bunny Marla Boots I hadn’t considered. Not a bad idea, but I like to keep the records, especially credit card amounts each month, and utilities. Then if I need to know what I spent it’s an easy flip through, rather than go back through my bank statements.
Do you have a video showing your packing list? We will be moving soon and that might come in handy for me...

Planning with Bumble ok cool. I would love to see that too. Would you be willing to brain storm ideas with me for a moving list in my happy Planner? My goal is to make sure everything is properly labeled by room so it would be easy to place in the new house. 🤔
NaturallyRéRé I would color code the rooms/boxes and number each box. Create a page in your planner for each room. Meep a list of each box number and the items in each box on that room page. Does that make sense
Planning with Bumble Ok. So if the master bedroom was purple then all the boxes for that room would have a numbered purple label... Am I on the right track?
NaturallyRéRé yep. That’s what I did last time I moved. Then I put up signs in the house marking the rooms different colors so people knew
