Workshop Diaries - Season 1 Episode 22 "Tesla vs Range Rover; up a steep hill...": Not really a fair race but while driving the Range Rover to the MoT station for its date with destiny I had a bit of a tangle with a Tesla. Edd China's Workshop Diaries 22: Driving 'Moss' Daisy to the MoT station & Fixing the wiring on a trailer & Adding some bling to the mezzanine.
Driving 'Moss Daisy to the MoT station turns out to be a little more eventful than planned. Then, with the filthy 4x4 out of the workshop I also take the opportunity to get some other jobs ticked off my ever-growing list: I track down and fix a wiring issue on my car transporter trailer (a Brian James Race Transporter.

Edd I think everyone would just like to know why you keep reposting old content, its really annoying and we would love to see anything new or at least know that you're ok

I'd like you to talk to us about your hopes and dreams, I think electric, solar, renewable projects are probably the future and you are very good with that, though i'd love to see you pick a battered Z900 from the 70's and work your wonders on it, ultimately you could go a bit docu/soap and just post vids of odd jobs and daily chores and just chat to us all, especially if you have discovered or made something awesome. Share the good and the bad experiences, most here like you and don't mind if you were naughty!

I'm not convinced by these short re-edited recap videos. Maybe it's just to drum up interest in the merchandise available. Whatever, I'll still be here waiting patiently for new Ed China workshop content, I just hope I don't miss it in the snow storm of old stuff.

To reiterate what several others have said; Reposting/recycling content is not the way to handle youtube. People who want to, can always go and watch the episodes again very easily. And youtube will most likely notice that the videos being posted are repeats, which will make the algorithm push the channel less. Yes, it helps to adhere to a regular schedule, but that initial boost in numbers will fall off fast when the subscribers stop watching. I'm fairly certain most subscribers will be more than happy to wait for new content, and would much prefer an actual update on why stuff is being reposted/why new content isn't being produced and posted.
I enjoyed Ed's videos though I found myself leaning more towards diy/off grid channels as opposed to fixing cars, particularly the old range rover. I'm a bit out of touch, loved the work on the ice cream van, enjoyed seeing the workshop coming along, amused but started to lose interest with the old range rover. I do think Ed could be very successful and willing him onto new interesting and entertaining projects that educate and inspire us.
I love Edd, but I don't like these reposts either, because I think there is a new video and them I'm very disappointed. I don't think the YT algorithm will like them either.
A long time ago Mike Brewer said that Ed China was a very naughty boy. It looks like Mike was right !

Ed’s lack of presence in the comments section suggests Ed knows exactly how fed up of these tiresome filler videos we all are.
Re-uploads are worse than just uploading nothing at all. If there was nothing people would eventually forget all about the lack of new content. By constantly reposting old videos as if repeats on KZhead work like watching old episodes of Wheeler Dealers on Dave, people are just getting more confused and annoyed.

oh yay... more videos I've seen before and could easily watch again by just looking through past videos... Ed, I don't know how to tell you this... you tube isn't television. if people want to re-watch they can, the few pence in ad revenue that you're getting isn't worth annoying people.

Oh, come on. Not another re-upload. Most of the comments are people complaining about this. If you're doing other stuff, that's fine, but the way to handle KZhead is to put a bunch of smaller content out there occasionally and not longer shows, or just update everyone with what's going on, especially if you can't make content right now. Sadly, I'm also at the point of unsubscribing too despite having been a fan for years.

Love seeing you back! I have all the original DVDs for the WD. I most enjoy you repainting, fixing and fabricating which was very educational and entertaining. For the procrastination station - some exercise equipment - ie. pull up bars. It would be cool for you to have a dog or cat in your shop too! Cheers!

I'm not so fussed about the re-hash, in truth, it's just completing a job that was left half- finished, with more to come with the glass. What miffs me is the semi-chipmunk voice at the end and the stupidity of the 'if you hated it click like three times' effectively liking it, then taking away the like, then liking it again!! Treat the audience like fools and they'll do the same to you!! Similarly, liked the Ice Cream van series, with the construct, technical workings out for motor/battery etc, and would love more of these type of projects, interspersed with the Orange, the boat, and the final Land Rover episode.

a drop metal band with coolant is best for that type job edd, a dropsaw with what look's like a wood blade on it dulls the cutting stuff it wasn't designed to cut... wheeler dealers has gone down since you left would of been better of them to do 2-3 seasons in the US with you there then migrate the to a more US cast to take over. much like was done with the this old house crew since the 70's

I am an Edd convert bought his book and have the tee shirt also watched everyone of his videos but can’t understand why he needs to republish stuff he has already done
The disappointment after seeing the new video notification only to discover it's yet another re-upload is getting tiring. I'd rather there be no uploads if it isn't new content. Unfortunately I will be unsubscribing from the channel. Hopefully someone will let me know when the quality videos return in the future.
