How to design a logo with golden Ratio | Adobe Illustrator Tutorial.
Many designers search for a good tutorial about golden ratio and how to use it in logo design, I was searching for it before and I found a hard time to find good resources but there is never the good explained video.
So, today, I tried my best to explain how to use the golden ratio in logo design and how to make a logo using golden circles.
I will make many other videos related to this topic and I will explain how to use the different golden ratio method, like the golden spiral.
In this tutorial I will show you:
How to make the golden rectangle.
How to extract the golden circles from it.
How to use the golden ratio to design a logo directly on illustrator.
How to use the golden ratio to grid a sketch and make a perfect logo design.

I saw this in my recommendations. I'm no logo maker but I'm not disappointed. It's oddly satisfying to watch
Thank you, Happy to hear that

Same
coz it's the golden ratio
The nature sound in the background gave this a special touch
Honestly, one of the most clean tutorials i've seen. I'm no expert or anything, but your tutorial is in self, an inspiration to experiment and to just enjoy the process along the way. With this i found a lot of ways to use the tools provided. Thank you good sir :)
Why is Stephen hawking giving me a logo tutorial at 1 a.m

Absolute amazing technique. Loved the birds in the background as well.
Amazing tutorial. I've been looking for someone to explain this process for a long time. Most of the videos of this on youtube, are time lapsed videos with no explanation. Thank you.
+Nate Bartlett You Are welcome, happy to help.
The most structured and detailed tutorial i ca across until now. Thank you very much!
Thank you for this simple-to-follow tutorial without too much information! ❤️
Mohamed, that's a great job you do and I really appreciate sharing it with us. I'm an IT student and I love designing. Now I started learning Illustrator instead of using Photoshop because of you so THANK YOU.
This is no joke one of the most relaxing channels on KZhead. Also, great content! I'm so glad I found this channel.
This reminds me of the circle stencils I had as a child and teenager. I used them to design on paper of what we now call fonts and other stuff. This is very helpful with creating design.
Honestly first thing that made me want to subscribe is that there's no loud cringy dubstep background music. Also, the pace of the talk is so easy to listen to and I understood everything! I'm making my first logos and this is my favourite channel from now on. Bird chirping is so calming!
Now this is it! While other tutorials provide quick sketch using those golden ratio circles, you explained in details about the design process. It is really helpful!
Glad to help
This is amazing, I’m definitely gonna have to try messing around with this
that has taken me 5-6 hours to make this correctly as a beginner thank u for combining so many useful instruments and skills in this tutorial!
this is the best tutorial i have seen in many days ...LOVE IT 🥰
Love this Tutorial Sir.... I'm also a designer.... i have seen so many logos designed using these circles but i didn't understand how to use these circles for designing a logo but your tutorial made me to understand. It just perfect Sir. Thank you for Sharing. :)
Thank you for this tutorial, you are really patient and describe every single step. That's what beginners like me need.
Simply wow! you have simplified the learning through your simplified explanation.
This was an amazing tutorial. Been trying to find a resource that explains this so simply!
Thank you for this insightful demonstration! You provided many useful shortcuts and tricks that serve as a great refresher for Illustrator. :)
OMG the background sounds are so wholesome & calming. I was able to concentrate from start to end, even though I have ADHD. Thank u.
So he's a doctor too
One of the best logo design tutorial using golden ratio i have ever seen. So much helpful
If you double-click the scale tool and set the value of uniform scale to 161.8% you can easily increase elements by the golden ratio.
and to decrease elements, the value of uniform scale is 61.8% ? right?
@ 16.18
yes, this is what i do
I simply divide by 1.618
thanks
This video is excellent. You start from the very basic and go all the way trough the process. You are an excellent master. Wish I had found this video weeks ago would have saved me alot of time and pain.
Thank you so much, stay tuned the best is yet to come
Wow this was very helpful.. I was searching for this all my lifetime! 💗💗💗💗💗💗 This one's simple and easy to understand. Such a considerate explanation and video. Thank you so much!
I'm very thankful for your tutorials !
This is everything! Easy to understand. Thanks for sharing!
+ndop you are welcome dude

Mohammed Amine Salhi i was about to say that, i really appreciated this detail
Thanks

OMG yesss the birds make this sooo nice to watch
This is an absolutely phenomenal tutorial. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.
This is exactly what I'm looking for. Nice tutorial. thank you so much.
Congratulations and thank you for your tutorial, excellent content and a clean and very professional video. The rhythm of your video is excellent, it contains the elemental elements and it is in good taste. A question, which program did you use to make the video, in particular to show your sound wave type voice? Thank you.
Thank you for teaching in such a simple way!
Greatly grateful to this and other of your tutorials. It's the best by far.
I was trying this technique and learned using values to mathematically imitate this 1st square - 560 px 2nd square - 350 px 3rd square - 210 px 4th square - 140px 5th square - 70px Use these values for the circles and align them
Thanks m8 !
Yo you're smart
you can do it with any number as long as goes with the Fibonacci sequence (x=xn-1+xn-2) so, 3rd square= 140 + 70
These values don't adhere to the ratio though. The golden ratio is ~1.618, and 560/350 is not equal to that ratio.
@@seanperry1321 Yeah nothing truly adheres perfectly to the GR in real life either, it's mostly hokey
Awesome video mate. Professional :) Looks like you have made some awesome logo's from your dribbble account. I love your style. Subbed :)
Thanks a lot dude, I appreciate that.
섬세한 표현과 정확한 설명이 최고입니다 Delicate expression and precise description is the best
Thank you. This is the simplest and yet the most effective explanation on golden Ratio design I've ever seenl. Borrowed this helpful idea to create a resizeable chart of circles for composition purposes.

I love the birds in the background ❤️
The most practical and valuable vid tutorial!!
+Jongbin Lim thank you so much, glad that you like it.
This is really helpful, thank you for this video, i wanna try this with the new logo idea i've just thought
Explained in great detail! Thank you so much!!
I do not speak English, and the robot voice helps me understand what you say. Incredible tutorials, you're the best!
very cool!, thanks!
Thank you, you are welcome.
Harry you're a WIZARD ! Thank you so much for this !
Mohamed, thank you a lot for sharing your knowledge in this tutorial! To me is very helpful! Best, Nina

I do really wish to find this kind of jojo content comment😂

This is so nice! At first I was like what's up with those birds, but then I read somewhere in the comments that you enjoy designing while listening to birds and now I can totally see myself doing that too! lol keep it up!!
That was a great tutorial. Mr. Achraf, Very well planned and executed
This voice and that birds singing, man, I love it
Glad to hear that, I enjoy designing while listening to this birds.
I'll try it too then
Mohamed Achraf I just open my window and I'll hear birds
Artistically its kind of nice because there is a certain contrast between a technological voice and the sound of nature working with each other.
the voice is google translate lmfao
LOVED IT...SPECIALLY the sound of the birds behind your video
+Sugil Chill Thanks dude!!
absolutely a great tutorial, something to come back to even after 6 years, still comes in handy! Thank you 👍🏼
i've been ssing around on a friends soft soft for years, finally bought it. I found your videos and instantly subscribed and have been

Thank you very much Bert.!!
I can tell this is a great tutorial, all nicely explained. Thanks Achraf.
Your tutorials always helping a lot! Thanks!
Never heard of this, but wow! New ideas for designing. Btw, I'm learning designing and Illustration only in KZhead haha.
Great, Someone like me at least!
Where I get perfect video for beginners?
At the end when you were adding shadows and highlights with the pen and arc tool, why didn’t you use one of the golden circles?
+Kiernan Moore yeah you can do it but I just used theGR for the turtle shape.

You taught me what my professor seems to not able to for the last 4 year
For real, the amount of people who don't know how easy it is to make money when you have this tutorial mastered is astonishing...
@Shroom King This tutorial is about using the circles in YOUR OWN ART, the turtle is just an example, he also shows coloring layering and tools techniques, PICK UP your brain before commenting...
Hi Mohamed, I am a video editor and motion graphics animator who is trying to develop better design acumen. I stumbled across this tutorial and for the FIRST time I have understood how to use the golden ratios. Very excellent demonstration. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Oh Dennis So happy that I helped, You are very welcome dude!
Yes, I really like this tutorial too! I think I'll go through it and learn some Illustrator, that's the idea, right? Thanks!
Honestly, One of the best tutorial I'have watched ever. Thank you sir.
So far the only tutorial I've seen that takes it slow and doesn't require prior experience to soft design.
This blew out my mind. It's so weird that the universal concept of beauty can be summarized using a ratio. I'm not an artist nor designer (I'm more into science) but this is truly fascinating
It's all geometry my friend. Try taking some psychedelics lol
Thank you for this tutorial, *siri*
You are welcome
I am happy to watch your wonderful, interesting lessons, thank you very much! 👏👏👏
The best meditation. Thank you, thank you, thank you...
This was so cool man
Glad That you like it dude!!
Amazing video! Great job Quick question: what's the app used for the commentary?
The perfect turtorial. Thanks !
May the knowledge be a blessing brother, إن شاء الله
Dude excellent video. You deserve hell more of views and subscribers ;)
Thanks Dude!! I appreciate that.
It was a very cool lesson, I especially liked that bit in the video where you blew my mind.
You are welcome, glad that you like it :)
I have nothing to do with logo designing but TBH this video with that clear voice was surprisingly satisfying.
The logo definitely has a certain elegance and appeal in the shapes.

Thanks a lot for your kind words dude, I don't know what to say but, you are very welcome you and all students. Regards.
Barak Allaho Fik, finally i started to understand the golden cercles meaning thanks to you
I'm so glad I found this channel. thanks
Everytime you say maintain Alt, some voice in my head says maintain altitude. Probably still something from flyinglessons.

Hi, teacher. May I know when designing a logo must use golden ratio or just depend you want to use or not? :)
It depends
THANK YOU!! THIS WAS THE BEST AND EASIEST TUTORIAL
Thank you so much for all these tutorials bro. So much valuable knowledge

Sadly, he didn't make a horse with the golden ratio
Ora ora ora ora ora ora
Jojo fans when they recycle the same jokes even though they only watched 1 episodes of it
Nice video and great work. Not to be pedantic but this is a Fibonacci sequence which is not a golden ratio rectangle. But none the less great job!
Yes. Correct ratio around 1.618. Of course, do not underestimate a beautiful tutorial. Congratulations.
Exactly! In Fibonacci sequence ratio between two selected squares is close to 1,618 but not exactly it. Can be smaller, can be bigger. In GR it is constant. But from point of view of building a fast grid in AI, indeed, is simplest way.
Don't you think it would be a much easier process to get a bunch of circles in golden ration relation just to follow this algorithm: 1. Make the first circle with 100px in radius or diameter (doesn't matter which). 2. Make a second circle with 162px in radius or diameter, the same you chose for the first. 3. Put the first circle inside the second with center aligned. 4. Resize both circles until the larger circle is 100px in radius or diameter. 5. Repeat steps 2-4 until you have the amount of circles you wanna use.
awesome ! :D
you amazed me i really like your tutorial
Thanks a lot - your video is a Great start to soft soft. I'm onto it !
