The old Ghostbusters movies are still the best ones in the franschise. Ghostbusters 2016 does not even exist, period.
dammnit they had one chance to do a proper 3rd chapter with Ramis still alive and all the actors still looking the part, in the early 90's but nooope Murray had to say no. only to say yes to the shit they did now
7:56 idk if he's trying to sell the idea that ectoplasm,as it is in these movies, exists outside them or if he actually believes it himself but either way that passion translated well to the project.
Dan Aykroyd's grandfather and I believe other family members were very big into the spiritual and paranormal. It was this background and Aykroyd's own interest that actually influenced the writing of the movie.

These interviews were filmed in 2014 as a part of the Extra Features when the first two movies was re-released on Blu-Ray as it was a 30 year anniversary for the first Ghostbusters film & a 25 year anniversary for the second Ghostbusters film back in 2014. The Director Ivan Reitman passed away in 2022.

@@cyberjack i kinda get what you mean i guess. I rewatched the clip, and it might have been a version of the movie you watched where it had a weird cut. Cause in it, Venkman does interrupt Vigo to say “Now!” And then they fire. I could see that feeling like a random weird jump cut. If thats what you’re talking about. But I’m very positive that Peter is supposed to abruptly do that.
