Since 2005 this tournament featured Nadal or Djokovic as either a runner-up or a winner, which is a streak that only mostly recently was broken in 2023! That's just nuts man, just let that sink in for a moment! 18 consecutive years same two people reached the final stage of this tournament and collectively won 16 between the two! That's just...crazy to say the least!...Most players don't even play professional tennis for that long and these two were winning this tournament and winning it for this long...LOL

Anyways, first off, what a point by Murray in 2016, and second off, much as I love the Big 3, it’s time for a new era and new champions. Ideally more than just 3 as well😉

Felix Mantilla. This is the only big title he won and his last of 10, had a career high of 10 and one semi-final at roland garros

only the finals are played with best of 5 in masters those days i think
