Wildlander is a total conversion modlist for Skyrim. It doesn't change any of the quests but the entire world around them with added survival mechanics and overall a much more immersive and realistic atmosphere.
To celebrate the release of Wildlander 1.1.0 I've made my 10 getting started survival tips guide to help you guys get leveled up, get experience, create the right character and not die hopefully.
I got over a few things in this video including character creation, combat tips, magic, perks and level zones.

My #1 tip: Don't be like me and think that bleak falls barrow is still an early game location that you can easily clear when playing this modlist 😅
I somehow lived... The got destroyed by a Dragon after leaving
See, that was definitely a rude awakening. I used a lot of cheese when I went in there.
"You should avoid dungeons unless you want to make a new character" had me laughing.
Stay away from vampires. They combine the durability of draugr and the firepower of mages plus sustainability with their drain attacks.
Most dangerous enemies in the game for sure
Wildlander truly is immersive roleplaying evolved
Great collection of Tips 👍
Thanks for covering this Bayliun. Great pack
Nice i hope u will make some more vids about general tips in wildlander keep it up!
Just barely watched your Kajiit playthrough. We need another one! Best one I've seen.
Damn this sounds hardcore!! Might be my new modlist to jump into.
Probably took away the most information compared to any other video of the same topic , thanks nicely choreographed video with some handy tips going to start at the companions and work on alchemy 👍
I knew I recognized your voice from somewhere. I never imagined an mma and skyrim content creator, but here am I watching both contents. You are my favorite in MMA on Point and Fight Front, keep up the good work !!
Awesome video homie.
Thank you so much lol I have been doing this wrong for 3 days now kept spawning in solitude and trying to kill bandits. Can't wait to make a new character and start the journey right
Hope it's working out for you!
I want to make a spellsword redguard that uses two swords, wind or lightning magic and alteration.
I recognise that voice (from MMA on point), didn't know you had a gaming channel 😀
please can you do a full video on how to install nolvus cause im still confused on it thank you if you can
I Want to do a spellsword kinda character as first wildlander character (no permadeath... FOR NOW). So one handed and maybe electricity magic (to drain mages of their mana while closing in perhaps). _I will struggle to get used to IEquip tho xD
My favorite build is 2H HA khajit with his nice speed bonus. When fight starts i just go meow meow meow dodge meow meow meow and battle win.
based
super interesting, a lot of new roleplay possibilities for sure. great video! what font replacer are you using?
Whatever one comes with the modpack! I think it's probably Requiem's defult font
@@Bayliun thank you!
Siuuuuuu let's gooo
This sounds like something that would go well with my play style. I tend to dodge attacks by default, role-playing what this mod does. Might give this a shot, was thinking about doing the main quest after a couple of years.
For sure dude this modlist is awesome
This modlist looks very intriguing. I play on VR so I'm somewhat limited in the modding I can do (both technically and in terms of design and play style), but I do like to lean towards more hardcore roleplaying even then. I'll definitely give this a try if I go back to flat screen Skyrim.
Hi friend don't say that, I exclusively play VR and it takes much longer but it IS possible to fully play Skyrim VR like the flat screen wabbajack modlist. It took me about 6 months but I started converting the Aldrnari Skyrim VR wabba jack list to VR. I love it and it runs flawlessly, it's about 1300 mons and 250 gbs or so but it finally feel like I'm IN skyrim. I zipped my folder and uploaded it into my Google drive to share with my friends , but if you want a link I'll let you play mines also.
if ur interested in hardcore survival on VR, i recommend Librum. pretty similar to this list in terms of its heavy survival and roleplay elements, but comes with a lot more content and has full VR support. not as stable and coherently patched together as wildlander, however
Hey mate, tnx for the info! I have one question though... My magicka dropping everytime I go to sleep and in few days it drops to 0 with no particular reason... I don't know what to do
Been debating on downloading either this or Aldrnari for a new playthrough, any thoughts?
Hey, how do I fill my canteen outside of inns or drink from wells? I cannot find the hotkey. Thanks!
0:16 play as Richard Branson
Alteration and Enchanting are kind of what I alternate to instead of Alchemy and Restoration to heal in Requiem. Also Necro Empowerment on Self from Conjuration if you're undead. Are these still viable in Wildlander?
not sure abouut the necro empowerment onself, never seen that used tbh. Alteration and Enchanting, not sure how that will heal you? Drain health is an option but not really until the late game, Enchanting can't heal you, health regen is super nerfed!
@@Bayliun Necro empowerment (or necromantic heal?) is basically just a healing spell from Conjuration that only works on an undead/vampire player or npcs, Alteration has a lot of drain spells and Enchanting worked for me as a secondary way to heal, usually daggers or bows with a drain enchant, but it might be nerfed in Wildlander. Well either way, I'll get Wildlander, it sounds great.
Ah yes, clearing out a dungeon of zombies with a casual two bowls of soup in my backpack. Delish 😆 love Skyrim
Awesome video. I just finished my first playthrough of Wildlander about a week ago. Had a level 34 Breton fire mage. Was very disappointed to three shot Miraak with Incinerate. However, the entire modlist is very well put together. Dylan is a legend! Hard choice between TSO and Wildlander. And to add my own wee bit of advice put heavy focus on the camping perks. You can get 100 extra cap in no time at all which is a nice buff for those early dungeon runs.
Has been nerfed to 15/30 now
Yeah a lot of those little exploits have just been patched!
@@Bayliun Don't believe it was an exploit. You learned the skill and it gave you the cap. No black magic or trickery involved :D
Bow/dagger/cast dunmer for me. :p
Been enjoying Wildlander sofar but just met my first dragon at ~lvl 18. I simply have 0 chance xD
Bro, do you think add nsfw mods, cgo and true direccional movement is a possible by my. Own?
Good stuf, thanks and grab a sub. I just removed UltSky for the first time and will be installing Wildlander. Its exactly the modpack type i need.
Same mod author!
Is this available for VR?
Will you be doing a play through?
on my Twitch!
how is performance on a 2016 laptop?
Honestly, real shame that your Twitch VODs are subscriber only as I was interested in seeing more of your content after watching this video. If you ever set up a channel for your playthrough(s), or even highlights please make an update video!
Sure dude, I have to reward my Twitch subs somehow though buddy, they are loyal and support my content!
Don’t be cheap. There are ways. Don’t try to figure them out. Use some self restraint.
Oh noooo... I made an orc nightblade because I figured the berserking double damage racial would be excellent for sneak attacks and the mage stone could offset the starting magicka. Where is the info on magicka regen rates by race? I didn't see that in the info document.
Check the Requiem pdf doc
More Wildlander videos?
this show the default list or additional mods added?
Default list!
Downloading now. I'm no stranger to Requiem, and have succeeded (and love) playing as a Nord mage. Does Wildlander really change that much that this will be a different circumstance?
How does this compare to Serenity II?
More survival based, I'd say more focused and cohesive. Custom changes have been made by the modlist author to loot tables, spawn locations, good and alchemy and a bunch of other stuff
@@Bayliun how about Arkay's Commandment?
The modlist is in desperate need of precision mod. The ranges of weapons are visually terribly off, i.e struck air at 3:40 lol.
You know you can lock on to targets and just shoot arrows, itl hit 100% of the time even in horse
Are they compatible?
Does Wildlander have alteration open spells? or are all classes forced to use lockpicking like normal Skyrim? I miss my Open spells :D
Alteration open spells and you can bash locks if you have enough hp and stamina
@@Bayliun awesome:)
btw, there is a bug you cant save game in this modlist....so sad, looks amazing.
There shouldn't be a bug, you may have broken something yourself
cool.. but wish I could watch you play feelsbadman
Head to my twitch!
@@Bayliun I did but unfortunately you're never live when I'm able to watch
Wait... does this guy not realise that undead are weak to silver weapons? No wonder they're "durable" :D
lol first thing i bought was a silver sword
Just discovered this and its so awesome! Unfortunately I feel chars are so bloody ugly... just overdone...
Does anyone know how to activate fast travel in this modpack?
It's disabled! Not very good when you have to eat/drink/sleep and survive, kind of ruins it all. Live life day to day.
@@Bayliun i dont have much time to play Thats why i was asking
