  • Considering that Bruce Lee is famous for the one-inch punch and the one-finger pushup, I don't see this fight going far in real life. Both Lee and Ali have a speed advantage, but if Bruce ever got in close it'd be all over. Lee also knows how to attack the legs and body of his opponent, whereas Ali does not.

    • What movements? Bruce Lee moved nothing like this. He didn’t execute his punches or kicks like this. No fencing footwork; no JKD. No interception; no broken rhythm. He moved like every other character in the game. The only think remotely Bruce Lee about this character is his likeness.

      @axelstone3131@axelstone31316 ай бұрын
    • @@axelstone3131 Look again. He’s in the epee fencing on guard position and using back and forth fencing footwork. He fires out lead side kick interceptions, as well as the straight lead. Also interestingly when you see CGI Bruce block he uses a short elbow uppercut interception against straights, and mixes this with the boxing lean back. These are all tenets of jun fan kick-boxing. In reality though, Lee preferred to be more direct and just aim for the vital targets. Anyway, IMO they did a way better job mimicking Bruce movements than previous UFC entries. I’m impressed enough to buy the game and see what other jun fan movements they’ve included. P.S. remember too that JKD was an ever evolving philosophy - Bruce also loved boxing footwork and would constantly study and mimic the amazing footwork of Willie Pep.

    • @@alexandruescu1207 This is movie Bruce Lee not the real Bruce Lee. You may see some things but this isn’t Bruce Lee. Bruce Lee never stood in a wide open stance. You’re seeing want you want to see. Sorry, no, JKD wasn’t an “ever evolving” philosophy” that’s Inosanto’s bullshit narrative. There is a simple, direct and efficient way of doing things. A punch is a punch and a kick is a kick. There is a straight line and a curved line. The side kick he does is nothing like how he actually did the side kick. It’s a skin pain and simple. Jeet kune is Bruce Lee’s martial art that is geared towards ending a fight as fast and explosively as possible. People still have two arms and two legs. Boxing is boxing. It has always been the same and always will be the same. You won’t see the system of boxing suddenly add in kicks. People misuse the word “evolve” there is nothing to evolve. JKD is about using the simple and most directive too for the situation. Not adding a bunch of crap tighter than are all structurally different and when the shit hits the fan you can’t even react into to use anything. That does not mean fucking around on the ground for 5 minutes trying to submit the guy. It’s not like people today have 3 arms and 3 legs. You never see people move like Bruce Lee did, in the UFC.. you never see broken rhythm. As for interception barely anyone can even do it. The level of training it takes to pull off and reaction time. Next to nobody puts time into training it and again most people simply can’t do it. It’s same reason hardly any JKD people train the finger jab or anyone trains it in general. Because people dismiss it as something that doesn’t work and the amount of time it takes to get good at it people don’t want to spent training it. Yet Bruce spent hundreds and hundreds of hours practicing all those sort of techniques. The fighting method books are more accurate for finding out what Bruce was doing. Although you can’t learn it all from a book. Also, the stance change during 67-73 and became more compact. Bruce Lee was also looking to streamline not complicate.

    • @@axelstone3131 You must have missed what I posted: “These are all tenets of jun fan kick-boxing. In reality though, Lee preferred to be more direct and just aim for the vital targets.” Additionally, it was an evolving philosophy otherwise it would be “crystallisation of form”. There’s always room for improvements - with anything. Now stop thinking you know everything, esp more than Dan Inosanto. I had enough of your arrogant narcissism on another JKD vid a while back. All you do is deliberately disagree with anyone and everything because you think you’re superior by default.

A lot of guy's that fought with Bruce behind the scenes were said to be black belt heavyweights, Bruce trained every parts of his body that's why his power felt odd for a small man who looks about 135/140 pounds because people did not believe that people that size can hit that hard. Do you honestly believe he's going to Box with Ali in a MMA rules setting let alone a street fight? Smh you're the "delusional" one and probably never been in a fight. Size doesn't mean anything in a street fight, it's about skills. You guy's keep saying "he's an actor 🤓 not a fighter" when he is a martial artist who transitioned his chinese culture to the big screen to stop the stereotypes that hollywood and the midwest were depicting of Asians. You need to understand Kicks is a foreign language to Boxers, most fold or crumble after three kicks to the shinbone let alone one. I love Ali but in a MMA rules setting he's not beating someone whose trained in multiple fighting styles.

    • @@HildaxRosesize doesn't matter if the experience/condition gap is too huge. For exemple, a pro boxer going into the ground against an MMA fighter/bjj athlète, even twice his size, will get mauled, because he has zéro skill on the ground. On the other hand, a 6"3 215lbs World Champion would wash the floor with 100% of the martial artists the size of Bruce lee that are stricking dépendent. You dont seem too understand, the only thing the 215lbs Guy need is one single clean hit, and if it's the former hw champion of the World with so much reach advantage, he will get more than one. Street fight, MMA, boxing.. Muhammad Ali wins in every domains against Bruce Lee, but both of them would get slaughtered by khabib, Oliveira or islam, because while they have huge stricking skills, they have no valuable ground/wrestling skills.
