I doubt it matters what tank you are using, it comes down to the experience of the player driving said tank. An experienced player can solo 10 players if the enemy is inexperienced, even if they have a crappy tank.

@@johncee853 the m16 doesnt have more than hmg's right? The zis 30 has quite alot of firepower and the su 122 has godlike he. Also no, im not a stargate fan. But now im curious of why you thought i was?🤔
@@oiermontero2310 It had to do with using lower tier vehicle at higher br. Stargate? The pic of the red A next to your name. It's, mostly, the symbol for Earth in the Stargate movie and the series.
Angling the Tiger I isn't very effective against the Panther's 75mm gun. You need to angle your Tiger I a lot to avoid getting penetrated by that 75mm gun, but by doing so you are showing your weak 60mm thick lower side plates... This means that even if you are angled, a Panther can still kill you.
you can just play it backwards and have rng on your side with fuel tanks
I main 5.7, and i've never been pened by panthers when i angle my tiger, but maybe cuz those ppl were bad

@@CptAngelKGaming He was extremely lucky because those Panther's managed to hit the only spots that they can't penetrate. I mean, they hit the turret and it looks like some of their shots hit the driver's viewport. One shot clearly hits the side armor. At that angle, even a 76mm gun from a Sherman wouldn't have a problem with your armor. Angling your Tiger I will not make you invincible against the Panther's 75mm gun. You can bounce poorly aimed shots, like we see in the video... But there always will be spots in your armor that can be easily penetrated by that gun. Check the armor viewer... You need to angle your Tiger I A LOT to even have a chance to bounce a shot from a Panther. But by doing so, you are showing your weak 60mm lower side plate... You don't want to angle that much to avoid getting your side armor penetrated? Ok... But now I can't punch right through your 100mm upper frontal plate. The Panther's 75mm is powerful enough to penetrate the UFP of a Jumbo at close range... That should tell you something. Dude I have a 4.67 K/D and also an Ace Crew with the Tiger I Ausf. E... I clearly know what the Tiger I can and cannot do.
nope if you angle at 45 degrees the 100 mm upper plate becomes 190 mm and the lower being angled in the first place becomes 200mm , so if the tiger is also hiding behind a dead tank like the vid you cant pen him.

@@itsalmostfun8567 Agreed, the Tiger I find has a better gun with an even faster reload speed but much harder to play when attacked by multiple targets.

If you are using the PZGR rounds on the tiger 1. it only takes one shot in the turret to cremate the panther crew.
Yea that's how I was killing everyone with one hit other than the panther on abandon factory

You guys do realize that PzGr just mean "Armor Piercing" right ?, which is what all WW2 German AP (normal, capped, and capped ballistic capped) and APCR are called
@@AHappyCub in war thunder Pzgr 39 has worse post penetration than just Pzgr.
Generally both are great but also suffer from horrid weakspots that get fixed in the tanks after them for the most part, Like the Tiger 1H's Commander's Hatch for example. And the Side's of the Turret on the Panther D. With 75mm Sherman's APHE you can easily hit those spots and decrew the entire turret and sometimes even the Hull with one round of APHE. So Positioning matter's alot.
Not if u wiggle the turret at the right time it gets absorbed by the gun it’s so op the panther
With the early panther you should wiggle back and frost when being fired on much harder to shoot it’s week turret front but I see more people killing panthers using the turret weak spot then people killing others (and me) with the commanders Cupola.
Also most allied tanks don’t have as much explosive mass in them so I find the commander takes the whole shell sometimes and in the tiger e it is removed making the tiger e such a reliable tank in terms of armour.

the panther D is definetly designed for sniping in flat areas. There the weak turret armor cant be penetrated from a far distance + its very rare that a very far away shot would even hit the front of the turret Tiger H1 is more of a push tank for close combat being much more manovurable

Yea TBH tiger 2 P try researching tiger 2 instead pf Panther A because tiger 2 is a good tank and it got me to 400k SL because of tiger 2

@@itsalmostfun8567 bad idea considering it would bump him up in B.R he should get both tigers and panthers THEN getting the tiger 2s i stiill would get the tank destroyers and stuff but just for the main tanks, in my american tree i get all or most of every tank before researching the next tier unless the next tank only bumps be up by 0.3 B.R max
@@parrote5600 Yea but remember TIger 2 has a fast reverse speed and that got me a lot of kills in RB by just killing aton of light tanks and the Tiger 2 can fully pen panther As Front TBH and i didnt got even once to be killed by a panther AND NERF THE PERSHINGS
@@itsalmostfun8567 still the rest of his vehicles would be not as good as they could be if he gradually got rid of the bad ones and replaced them with the better ones
both of these vehicles are great for the tier they have flaws but a good player can make use of the vehicle to dominate the match
It seems to be much more of a personal skill that decides the match

Honestly both tanks are good. I've always preferred the Panther D over the Tiger I but I think at the end of the day this matchup is a skill matchup and less one tank being better than the other.
For close city brawling I think the Tiger is slightly better but the Panther is much better in all other situations, for armor, long range engagements, speed, gun... charisma..!

I love the panthers, but find them a bit limiting sometimes. The tiger H1 I find more versatile.. pretty much a beefed up panzer III M, but the option to snipe like the panzer IV's.

As a master of 5-6, this br bracket is pure skill. I've gotten 15kill games with the M18, Panther D,A and tigerH1. Imo the panther is better than the the tiger especially with volumetric. And the panther feels much faster with it's better acceleration. And I don't really care about side armour, as do most good and confident players. Only issue are those occasional shot traps.
Bro panther side armor is the best I’ve ricocheted more shells on it than u think unless ur going against 8.0s then idk but I bounce lol
i think players from both sides should've switched tanks and each round should've been done twice so players could play both tanks to see if its the player's skills or if its just the tank being better
The tiger and panther series tanks are my most played vehicles in war thunder and I have to say the tiger H is better, but at 5.7 it's a whole different story , the panther a just absolutely wins compared to the tiger e or almost any 5.7 vehicle for that matter
Panther D uis 5.7, Tiger H1 is 5.3... Tiger E is 5.7, Panther A is 6.3

@@insomniacbritgaming1632 Don't feel back I've played for many years now and still play arcade. I don't have the eye sight for realistic. Close as I get is watching OddBawz videos. :) Even then it hard for me to see what he's shooting at at times.

Round 2 the only reason the panthers lost that 1v4 is because they got way to overconfident and pushed with a tank made for sniping (mostly made for sniping)
Should try circling with Panther. The turret rotation of Panther is HORRIBLE

what kind of players are playing in Tiger 1 H in 1st match where he cant kill a panther shooting his side 2 times from almost melee range... Do they know where to aim ?
I find that I do better in the Tiger H1 in war thunder. I just can't love the Panther because of its bad tureet traverse, more often than not, I die to flanks in the Panther more than the Tiger. (Which is somethjng you should expect, but you do get flanked by 2 tanks or more in a Panther often.)

Adding this before I watch, but going to assume this one goes to the Panther D. Better angled armor, better gun. TBH I think the Tiger H1 is one of the worst vehicles in the whole lineup between 4.7 and 6.0 for Germany. There is really just no way to angle a Tiger H1 against any round with good pen without getting the weaker side armor penned at the distances most WT matches take place.

I prefer the tiger just because if you manage to hide your hull you arw inpenetrable and the panthers weaker sides are very easily penned if someone shoots at even a slight angle

Those tiger 1s could slaughter a panther d if they knew what they were doing. Tiger 1 is just straight up better than panther d. Panther 4 is a diffrent story tho...

Now just do this again but with Tiger E and panther get it think based on purely on the fact that the H1/E are very similar I think the Panthers would win this because better turret traverse is better
Angling the Tiger 1 is quite simple , one edge or corner of your hull is always facing to the enemy . Then you got up to 130mm front and 150mm side armor , a good player will still kill you . But there are way more morons in WT , so you have a good chance of having a non pen . I like the Tiger 1 more than the Panther D , this slow turret traverse is not good for my type of playstyle . The only downside are this stupid mortars on the 5.3 Tiger 1 , you can't point your gun on the enemy if you angle as I said .
tbh，tiger should bring their overpressure APHE，that way it will make penetration=death for the panther

1v1 will not make a fair matchup because Tiger 1H is much better of all around tank. If you fave T-34-85 or M4A4-s but if you face stronger opponents like IS-2, Jumbos they your better pen and speed make a bigger difference.

You did forgot one thing: if you ever played 1v1 tournament most of the experienced player will choose the Tiger H1. The reason? It has a round that triggers Overpressure when it the Panther in the cupola, mantlet or trasmission… The round is the PzGr with less pen but far more explosive. Plus the tiger needs to played sidescrapping plus engine to the enemy because you will be not one shooted to the hull because of the engine…
It depends, but I prefer Tiger I, more versatile, weaker gun and bigger, but it compensates with a better reverse and a more lethal gun
For the urban combat i prefer Tiger,for the open field Panther is much better imo.

Panthers had some serious skill issues in round 2.There's no way Tiger can deflect these shots at near point blank range.Really poor aiming by Panthers.

Tank absolutely matters. It's not everything, but it does matter.
The game doesn't account for the nickel steel and 265 Brinell Hardness on the Tiger I, which in real life gave it an effective strength of up to 130mm on the front. Even the 80mm side plates had the effective thickness of 90mm plus due to this nickel steel and Brinell Hardness.

Why is Panther D 5.3 again? Ah, so that it can utterly club any 4.3 and 4.7 vehicles the US and Soviets may have, because German players are a band of 14yo cretins and the win rates won't raise themselves.
I mean, Panther D has a great gun and good frontal armor, but aside from that, horrible turret traverse and reverse speed, butter sides that can be penetrated even by reserve tanks, ... Panther A ( and G if it had a realistic mantlet armor ) are where the real deal's at
