I think those terrible injuries at Inter robbed football of the true GOAT , if you take his level from the ages 17-22 no other player in history has come even remotely close to the ability of R9 , the sad thing is we never saw a prime Ronnie , I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that if Ronnie stayed serious injury free into his late 20s early 30s there would not even be a debate on the greatest ever . When younger people ask me if R9 was really that good I always say name one other player in football history that lost 50% of their true ability and still won a WC and Ballon dOr , let that sink in for a moment the fat injured slow version of R9 won a Ballon dOr over Ronaldinho, and a prime Zidane and Henry . If you added 4-5 experience , footballing knowledge and top coaching to his already outrageous abilities only God knows where his limit would be . He was called the phenomenon for a reason , will always be my favourite player of all time .
