Those trashy logs actually make for very interesting video. We all know what to expect from a great log but these are full of surprises.
If that junk lumber keeps my cabin warm in the dead of winter, its a wonderful thing
great heat lol.
Thanks guys. Always enjoy your videos. I think running the ole mill would be a challenge yet enjoyable.
thank you.
Another great episode from Crappy Logs Productions. Just kidding, appreciate the content, better days ahead!
Wondered where all the rain went we had the driest April on record in South Aussie. enjoy your videos.
Enjoyed another one. Good log or bad log enjoy Mark and ZZ and Eddie

Fun to watch even if the log is bad. Actually more interesting 😊. Awesome video
thanks William.

Lots of nice logs 😊 love stopsine sawing 😍 keep up the good work guys 👍
we should have some stop signs coming up.
@@markgalicic7788 that sounds great 👍 loking forward to it.
It was a good Friday Video, I'm sure THE Eddie can make his planters out of what you have..."Use it up wear it out make it do or do without" What my Granny used to say... John
thanks John, he sure will.
Good video Bus Motor Productions
thanks James.
The slab looks like an outline of a fire hydrant! We love the video even if they are ugly logs!
thanks Dawn , I never thought of a fire hydrant lol.
We have a lot of locust on our property. They are kind of a nasty tree. Always dropping bark, dead limbs and branches. Very few of them end up with a good solid, straight trunk. It does make very good firewood when it's dry. Burns very hot and lasts a long time. The thorns are wicked on the smaller branches.
Yes, I did enjoy that. I learn more about what it takes to be a skilled Sawyer by watching you make ugly lumber instead of pretty lumber. And as always, it takes teamwork and concentration to stay safe. The danger doesn't go down along with the lumber value.
thanks Jasper , great comment.
I look forward to those future pine and spruce sawing videos. I'm a hobbyist bandsaw mill user and just finished sawing about 30 loblolly pine logs ranging from 8 to 14 feet long and 5 to 9 inches in diameter. After sawing all these into lumber, I am especially keen for the experience of others on how they cut their timber into boards. I think those pine and spruce logs will be personally relevant and I hope to pick up some tips and tricks. While I was happy enough with the work I did, I don't feel confident in my sawing decisions. Time will tell and more experience under my belt will teach me more. I eagerly anticipate what further videos you freely provide. Thank you.
thanks , the best teacher is to saw them and see how it turns out.
Sunshine and Tee shirts ... Hooray!!
I like it Doug!
Nice to see you all in operation again as usual; the walnut looks like Alfred Hitchcock. It is nice to hear the duo of Edmonston and Payne singing in harmony again with Edgy the Edger on backup vocals.
thanks Robert , I liked that answer.
Yup - I did enjoy it !!
thanks Alan.
Looking forward to Saturday
Me too Rob , be safe!
Nobody knows wood as good as Mark from the log to most any finished product made from lumber 😊
thanks John.
My 1953 Sedan cruiser has a black locust stem ahead of its white oak keel.
nice!
12:32... great looking "cathedral" board.
it was a nice one.
Here’s proof that experience is most valuable. Me looking at that “firewood”. You look at it “I can get something outta this log” Proceeds to make a big pile of useable lumber. I’m impressed! Thanks for the vid.
Happy Friday Eve!!😊
Hooray!
Man that think is tof as concrete, but surely as he'll is pretty, hard on the tooths of the saw but worth it I guess, thnx for the video Mark, great job
thanks , green locusts saws pretty easy.
We have Locus here as well. Ours is predominantly Yellow Locus. When finished the correct way it's a beautiful wood to have lumber made from.
I like the honey locust very pretty wood.
Enjoy sitting back watching you cut , lot less work than using my 40 inch manual bandsaw . I live about 20 miles north of Pittsburgh
That round edge plank looks like Statue of Liberty or the state of Idaho or maybe I’m just cross eyed. 😂
good answer.
lol that walnut is just nuts
Is this lumber strong enough / sturdy enough to be usable, ... more than just firewood?
Locust is fine wood if you preserve it! Fun to touch and smell!
yes it is.
That walnut looks like a submarine.
not it.
Glad you used gravity for a change have a nice day
thanks Glenn.
Good evening from Lincolnshire UK.
good evening Andrew.
Good evening from Yorkshire uk
That slab could be Florida. Have a great day
lol we get them aswell makes you just wonder if it’s worth it. Thanks mark
I was still having fun lol.
@@markgalicic7788 lol and that’s a nice looking shirt you got on. We will try to get yall some more one day
I love this idea..might just have to copy you! Eddie will get plenty of usable lumber for his raised beds. Who cares if it’s pretty..
true.
Some short boards , maybe Eddie can salvage a few. They will last a long time. Love locust for firewood.
he may get one box.
Could have just cut them in chunks for fence post? Or blocking for the deep mines just south of you? Just a suggestion.
yes we could have.
Let's see Eddie's planter boxes when he finishes them.
he sure will.
Grandpa was saying sometimes it's good so saw lumber from logs like that. It gets a Sawyer thinking about ways to saw other logs and get better yield. If you make a mistake it's not the end of the world. Learning something is always valuable. You did find some desirable boards in there for boxes. Always an adventure.
that's a great comment from Grandpa.
@ 19:00 Eddie must be a good friend to have talked you into cutting these logs LMAO
I would saw anything for Eddie.
Are you in Imperial PA?? If so I'm not far from ya and been looking to get some milled
yes we are , please email me at markgalicic@verizon.net
I believe the master dog should be named "The Big Dog" because that's what he is. 😁🚬
he is the big dog for sure.
@@markgalicic7788 His nite isu h worse than his bark! Lol
@@markgalicic7788 I like Doggie Daddy and his Auggie Doggie with cousins Andy and Mandy.
still good vid ty
thanks Richard.
How long are those sweet logs you have ready to go next week. I need Fifty-Four 2x10x16 and maybe four 2x10x20.
they are 25 foot and 21 foot.
That black walnut... mmmm... a coffee table in a house of ill repute - I'm thinking the ladies of the house will see the humour!
great idea lol.
we love the sawing, good or bad
thank you.
Did y'all say '' this is the nicest smelling wood ever?!?!?!??
the pine is.
I had a guy ask for oak bark for tanning leather. I was just wondering if you have sold any. This was a first for me
no we have not but it has lots of tannin in it that's why it turs black when metal is in a log.
It’s Bigfoot that’s what that beautiful piece of wood looks like!!! Great Videos Thank You 🙏
What is the GPH of motor
I'm probably late in the guessing game but as Bubbles would say the Samsquanch Monster, is what it looks like to me.
you got it lol.
Garbage in, garbage out. There were a few quite nice boards hiding inside those logs even though.
The walnut slab looks like The Eddie Horvath
We got some trees down the road that are 2 feet around with 4 inch needles with angle needles from them and thicker than porcupine quills . They would make some good lumber if you could spend days cutting off the needles .
what are they?
@@markgalicic7788 Sounds like honey locust I have those and been stabbed many times, I hate them
Really trying to make a silk purse out of a sows ear with that black locust.. but ya did it..
The slab looks like a profile of the Grinch … 🤷🏼♂️! Always a pleasure gents. Mark, how has your eye been doing … hoping no news is good news man.
thanks Pat , it's doing ok now.
Why, Mark? Remember Carnegie Hall. Practice, Practice, Practice.
yes very true.
What are you asking for the edger mark. Thanks.

Excellent video as always ! But why so many commercials? Doesn't youtube know we came to watch you and T.H.E Eddie horvath saw logs and do what ya'll do ! Lol
thanks Donald.
Now, when I look in the mirror, I won’t feel so bad !! Thanks, John
that's funny lol.
Still looks looks fire wood
most of it but it's all good!
its interesting to see what is inside a cruddy log like that.
for sure.
You managed to get useable pieces out of them for Eddie’s project, but I can see why those logs were not a priority.
grenella; best clairnets!
good info.
looks like the state of Florida
Looks like Florida with out the keys
good answer.
The slab looked like 'Alvin' to me ...
I like it
Kentucky
not it.
some of that weathered un-tarped lumber could be used as a wall covering much like the reclaimed barn wood walls some people are so fond of ?!
great idea.
That slab looks like the upper peninsula Mich.
it does but not it.
I was kinda shocked you were going to saw those logs the first one i would of made firewood out of but A for effort .
yes true but we don't see much locust show up so we had to try.
Looks like Nutsy
good one but not it lol.
florida penninsula
not it.
Definitely an UGLY log, Mark. I hope Eddie got something he can use out of it. Bill
it's all good.
That locus log was pure crap/junk. Im surprised you didnt just dump it and use it for fire wood.
yes but it worked out ok.
The best firewood in the world!
just like burning coal.
Yeti!
you got it lol.
Can you mix the sawdust with this locust log?
yes.
I see a gnome in that slab, or maybe bigfoot.
you got it bigfoot.
My wife thought the slab looks like a fire hydrant. As you move the camera around on it, I see a bear's face. As you are moving up with the camera, it looks to me like a standing bear.
I think the Big slab looks like Eddie
kinda lol.
It looks like Michigan.

@@markgalicic7788 I was referring to the mystery slab. Just trying to come up with a family friendly answer. We all know what Jeremy Clarkson would see. ;-)
That's some hard wood on a blade?
not when it's green.
@@markgalicic7788 Dad tricked me when I was 13 with some dried locust he wanted split..lol did not go well

I like that answer.
Gonna spruce up the mill, eh?
yes for sure Herman.
Boomettes!
for sure.
To me it looks like one of those bear shaped plastic bottles of honey without the spout on top of his head.
I do see that lol.
