Your Olympic sweater is a masterpiece. Certainly a heirloom. Thank you for a such an interesting podcast.
I was living in Switzerland when the Lillehammer Olympics where going on. (I’m 75 now and living in Alabama, USA) I’ve wanted one of those sweaters ever since, but didn’t have the faith in my skills to knit one! Yours is beautiful and it will a family heirloom passed down long after you’re gone sweet girl! I so admire your career as a doctor ( I was a surgical RN for 42 years), and your prolific skills in knitting! You do beautiful work with yarn and as a podcaster!!❤️
I think your grandmother will LOVE her new sweater! It’s beautiful.
Everything this woman makes is beautiful. I look forward to these podcasts so much. I can’t believe how much she gets done with how busy she is.
agreed.
I know right!
My thoughts exactly !! Where does she find the time to knit, work and have a life? She must have motor fingers! :) Maybe she doesn't cook!
Same!! So inspiring…
@@marinamarchese9876maybe her significant other is the one who cooks, who knows! Or maybe they both cook. 🤷♀️
Thank you for keeping me company this afternoon. You’ve been so busy getting things flying off and on your needles. I appreciated you showing how your yarn gets tangled and how you spent time sorting it out. That made me feel a whole lot better as it surely happens to us all. Hope your Grandma likes her sweater - I’m sure she will and that it fits her well. 💞
The ski sweater is INCREDIBLE.
I know you're not fond of blues, but you look beautiful in that color. Everything you create is outstandingly gorgeous. Your talent amazes me. ❤❤❤
Thank you Kim
Even though you feel your grandmothers sweater feels small on you, it fits you beautifully and is very flattering. I hope she loves it. You are such a skilled knitter I’m sure she is very proud.
it always makes my day when i see you uploaded a new podcast! so excited to watch this 🥰
Your 1994 Norwegian Olympic sweater is absolutely beautiful!
You look gorgeous in that blue sweater and I think a large would fit perfectly for you! It looks fantastic on you even though it’s for your grandma. You should give that color in a garment for yourself a try.
That was just lovely and the sweater is absolutely a work of art😍
So nice to knit with you. 🥰🧶
The baby sweater is so cute! Hope the blue sweater fits your grandma.
I love the color of your grandmother's sweater, hope it fits her! When I'm working with more than one yarn at a time, I put each one in it's own zip-lock sandwich bag, that way I can see the color of the yarn, and knit with them inside the bag, it is so much easier for me. Also in general, pull the yarn from the middle.
I love the little yellow sweater.
Your Olympic sweater is awesome! Can't get over how you have already completed so much of it. The design portion is so clear. You are a great knitter, and should be proud of your handwork.
I wish you could see how my eyes light up when I notice you've posted a new episode. I love your style, and that you don't worry too much about taking time to untangle something, or whatever. The Rowena sweater looks beautiful, and I hope your grandmother loves it!! Your Olympic sweater is gorgeous, and has me thinking of making an allover colorwork sweater. And I may also make a festival sweater for myself -- maybe with some deep natural wool colors. Thank you for this!
You are the best for finding the sweater in English. Thank you so very much.
I love the copper color knitted piece.
Your olimpic sweater is absolutely sensational and I cannot believe the perfection of your tension! a massive massive well done xx
Thank you for sharing the Dale of Norway link. The patterns are wonderful and you sweater is stunning. Living in Texas, it is unlikely I could survive in a ski sweater but I will definitely try the hat for my husband. I love your podcasts and all your escapades.
The "festival" baby sweater is absolutely adorable!
nice spinning! it’s looking good! knit with your handspun, even if you think you don’t like the yarn. you will be surprised! now when you are knitting, take small pieces of all the yarns you knit with a dissect each one down to the singles, and note how much twist is in the ply, and how much is in the singles, and how the yarn behaves in your knitting, and you will learn a lot!
The grandma sweater is beautiful. The sleeves are amazing. She will love it!!
Your Olympic sweater looks amazing! A lot more complex than I would attempt. I’m in the process of cleaning some wool that my sister gave to me from her sheep. The sheep are raised for meat, so not kept very clean. It’s a lot of work and is taking considerable time. It will be so interesting to spin and see what kind of yarn will emerge. I’m also a new spinner. It would be great if I actually get some decent yarn and be able to make something for her out of the wool from her sheep. You have inspired me to persevere.

What beautiful and warm clothes! I really liked it!!👍👍
LisaR: Your spinning looks great :) You can buy "Storage " Bobbins to fit onto your ashford 3 that are made of sturdy cardboard and metal , or plastic ..much less expensive than the wooden ones if you just want to free up bobbins . I bought mine a long time ago so can't recall where - but I'm sure Someone like Evie or Rachel (both US) spinners , podcasters can lead you in the direction to find them if you're interested! Beautiful projects-as always ❤
Wow, your Olympic sweater is incredible...an Olympic project for sure! Also loving your spinning journey, the e-spinner seems like a good way to start. Looking forward to seeing your creations. Thanks for sharing!

I love the Lillehammer sweater. You're doing a great job with it.
I am so grateful for your yarn recomandations. I really like the holst yarn for me and my son also (it's more resistent, than the wool from we are knitters, which I bought before. We can all relate to a tangled mess. Beautiful sweater.
Inga, I love your thinking! Blankets and socks definitely don’t count and you can cast on whatever you like. That green looks so fresh on you!❤❤

Thank you so much Sally
Lovely knitting and spinning !
Wow - love the rattle that you made - crazy cute! I knit some stuff animals by Susan B Anderson and they were knit top down with nothing to sew - limbs and all were knit . It was fun! Congrats on your spinning. Love that you are experimenting and not pressuring yourself - beautiful way to learn. Love the Humbug colourway - can't wait to see it as yarn and then a garment! Your videos are always so uplifting and inspirational....thank you!
I expect you are going to love spinning that Corriedale:) You are doing terrific on the beginning practice spin. It's looking good.
Love your show, and I especially socks, have you explained 'cutting in the heel' in prior episodes? Thx Di
Hi Inga, in episode 65 you share a link to the pattern of this sweater, and it contains a page with the information on the symbolism of the pictures. I'm sure you will love this!!!!! I saw this episode while I was restoring two sweaters of my son, that he bought second hand in Berlin, and to my great surprise you showed two sleeves of his sweater!!! 😃. With your link, I downloaded the pattern, and maybe one day I will feel advanced enough to give it a try, although I do not master Norwegian, I can understand quite a lot, being Dutch and also speaking German. Thank you for sharing your knitting traditions. Your sharing will certainly help me.
Не устаю удивляться вашим ровным петелькам! 😍Я вяжу редко и у меня ровные петельки не получаются. 😢
Hey Inga, I've been really enjoying watching your progress on the Olympic sweater 🥰 I love a good colourwork too, but I've never made anything that challenging! It's gorgeous!
Gratuluję 🎉, to prawdziwe dzieło sztuki 💐
I made the festival sweater my size for myself and I love it!! Totally recommend n
Inga! You look so absolutely glamorous in your gorgeous silk green blouse! Love baby sweater it’s adorable you are so clever matching those subtle colours so cute! Thank you as always! Could you get flight ✈️ to see your Grandma it certainly won’t be a long drive for you! Take care ! Hugs & xx 💜🧶💜
i wish but from rural town to rural its so expensive and several flights needed:P
Hi Inga! I knitted the 1956 olympic sweater by Dale or Norway. As I couldn't find the pattern I managed to message them on Instagram (thanks to Arne and Carlos's suggestion) and they were so kind to send me the version of the pattern, both in English and Norwegian...you may want you followers know :)
Thank you :D
Seriously your dream knit is stunning! So perfect. ❤. When you said I might make the cumulus tee into a dress, I screamed yes 😂
Do you have a picture of the blue baby sweater you made? or did I miss it? I would love to see that version. I agree with Kim Cummingham's comment that you look beautiful in blue. Purple looks good on you too ;-) I wish I could make great garments fast! 🙂
i wasnt able to add it in sadly:(
Thank you for sharing your beautiful knitwear and fibers. It sounds like your spring/summer season is very short. I like cooler weather but that would be difficult. Here in the Washington DC area we often go from late winter to summer temperatures. But this year we’ve actually had a nice little spring, and the cherry blossoms lasted longer than usual.
Impressive lineup of F.O.s as usual, Inga, but let's take a moment to discuss how you're manifesting Spring in that perfectly coordinated green outfit. Right down to the mug! Great colour on you too!
Thank you;) i chose the mug after the outfit;)
Last video I commented about Republic of Me -I was excited to hear you mention it!
Great podcast as ever ❤❤
Inga id love to see your tutorial for your 94 olimpic sweater. It is a piece of art! Also what about the sweater you were doing of the french yarn? The green one? I love to see your work always
I would love to make a sweater out of blue for myself. I am currently working spinning up some Gotland Wool that I have from the locs that I have. Spinning from the locs is a pain but I am doing it so far I have 5 balls and I only have one bobbin as well so I plan to get some more. I would like to make a suggestion is to working with the sheep of the Scandinavian countries because 13 out of the 14 are threatened and here in the States we have a program call Shave Them to Save them where we have a passport and collect stickers of the sheep in the passport. It encourages people to work with wool and it also helps the Shepherds save the breeds. I would also love to get my hands on Dala Palsfar, Gute, Roslag well basically all of them.
Yassss!!! I am so happy to hear about the English pattern for the house of yarn patterns. Imagine my surprise... and disappointment when I saw beautiful patterns but none in English on their site. Thank you Inga. Your colour work sweater is so beautiful. I hope one day I get to be that good at colowork to attempt something that looks so complicated. I look forward to watching your podcast every sunday.
Thank You
