The Oppo Find X7 Ultra's camera has one of the highest rankings on camera site DXOMark, coming in well ahead of the iPhone 15 Pro Max. For that reason, we thought we'd compare the Oppo Find X7 Ultra to Apple's flagship iPhone to see how the cameras actually measure up in real life.
Editors Note: Technically, over the last month the Oppo Find X7 Ultra was edged out by another phone as the top ranked camera phone but it still is ranked higher than iPhone 15 Pro Max but just no longer holds the #1 ranked camera phone anymore.

You ran out of Apple I guess.
Often the android phones fall down in how quickly they get to the ready state of snapping a photo. Is this one any better?
Man that Oppo design looks like something from early 2000s!!
I kinda love it though
Really? So which phone look like that?
@@marcrodet4900 Color combo reminds me of old Nokia's.
@@keyner111 Which ones?
Indoors… Nonliving things: iPhone Outdoors… Living things: Oppo Looks like most of the testing for Apple has been inside the space campus office while for Oppo in the active field by the respective employees.
Enjoyed this! Thank you
I’m totally vested in Apple, iPad, iMac, HomePods, AirTag etc. The camera on any other phone would have to be phenomenal for me to even consider changing.
Who cares about you?
I wish Apple would make a CAMERAcentric device (in conjunction with Sony & with smartphone capabilities) to replace high end point and shoot cameras FOR GOOD. Large sensor, better lens, and full camera controls for us enthusiasts. Think RX100/iphone mashup.
You say no edits but what about the post processing that the iPhone does by default, was that turned off? And if the Oppo has similar, was it turned off? RAW vs RAW would be the best comparison.
ProRaw on iPhone is ‘processed’, describing a photo as having been ‘post processed’ is of no value. Modern phones apply many techniques to photos to improve the output, the only ‘fair’ comparison is auto vs auto these days.
Oppo is king
I live in the US ans have the oppo x7 ultra If you enjoy taking portraits of people you must get this phone. I also have iphone 15pm, pixel 8 pro and s23 ultra. Portraits of people oppo is unreal
It’s hard to evaluate without knowing what the real source looks like. We’re s little sensitive to greenish tints, and less sensitive with blue to yellow, warm vs cold tints. We’re either easily biased towards vibrancy or dislike their lack of faithfulness to the source. Oppo seems to have a “general public”-friendly camera science which looks nice at times but not everywhere. What’s most important is reliability. Point and click to get a satisfactory shot.
I chose for camera A which is iPhone so I’m happy that my unbiased opinion is still for iPhone:)
Each of the cameras (WUT) equally treated with the same sensor (nothing more, nothing less) is what Apple used to be instead of one being 48MP while the other being 12MP under the Tim Cook era~
These cameras are so close that the processing in the video is making a bigger difference than the original photos. For instance in the rock & roll HOF shot where you like the clouds on the Oppo, on the YT video (1024 on a 4K monitor) I can't see the clouds at all, where they are clear on the iPhone. Where the tree is over the glass it is muddy on the Oppo. Clearly the iPhone looks better. The Disneyland shots look basically identical with some differences in the color, but not really "vibrancy". On the boat house shot the boathouse itself is very muddy in the iPhone, clearly the Oppo looks better (whatever is going on in the sky). I suspect that this all has much more to do with how they are processed in in the video rather than the cameras. So, by the time your photos are on KZhead either of these cameras are going to do well. Hopefully YT will show the video comparison better (Maybe you can upload it at a higher resolution).
That OPPO looks gorgeous.
I go for oppo it just cannot be bought here ❤😊😅
I’m wondering when phones will support writing RAW files…
The oppo just has more detail
Wow I always thought it was ah-po lol
