    • I did not mean not to shear the sheep. I meant.. they are not to be handled that way.. we have all the time in the world. It's fun and amazing for us. Is it also fun for them? What's the need for a race in everything? When we have the whole time in the world to watch stupid videos on KZhead.

  • For anyone who is concerned with the handling of the sheep, this is no different from their regular shearing. Normal sheering sheds are still loud and stressful for sheep, but never the less sheep have to be shorn once a year for their own health and comfort. In fact these sheep in particular are probably treated better than other sheep shorn on a regular farm, these shearers are quick and clean, there are minimal cuts or injuries to the animal because if i'm not mistaken they would be penalised for cuts to the animal.

    • There's no pain as they're being handled expertly and with great care. It's not in the sheep's interest or the owners to mistreat or harm valuable stock

    • For Health and Welfare reasons Sheep are shorn at least annually providing Wool for clothes and other everyday essentials, so in answer to your question, Shearing is a full time occupation

    • A very short time, they are normally shorn once a year, so what you see is one year's growth coming off as a fleece.
