Yuri has got to be one of my favorite factions out of any RTS. And not because it's also my name :D He's got mind control, bioreactors that use people as fuel, gattling guns, UFOs, submarines...it's all just so weird and wacky.
When I was a boy and English isn't my native language, I literally thought Yuri is an alien force from outa space coming down to earth to enslave everything, which made them seem even more terrifying.

There's something rather satisfying about seeing a Terror drone jump into a tank, and then that tank just being yeeted into the grinder. That's certainly an effective counter.

The year it's 2019.... Never once in my life ever thought of grinding enemy units I could capture and I play a lot as Yuri. I need to correct the mistakes I have done as a kid, time to reinstall the game.

Its so funny to see that the only reason YURI was able to win is because his enemies kept attacking him with ground forces. Which resulted in giving him money, resources and units that brought the entire 7 brutal alliance to end. If bots used naval force or were just defensive and sticked to the air forces, they would win. Great vid please make more :D
They would use planes but if you position certain defensive structures right they will just continuously attack them with the planes. Once you learned the patterns they were pretty predictable. Kind of like in Tiberian Sun if you just leave an infantry unit northeast of your base the hunter seekers would hit them every single time.
@@kevinmiller1108 Yeah I have flak alleys for enemy Kirov's once you know their course as they always target 1 building. I only have version 1.0 did they fix this and AI miners getting stuck and them giving up on the war?

I I think that's possible as allies , it would be hard to defend but once prism tanks reach a critical mass they eat anything they see .
1 vs 7 brutal. Easy peasy: Let the other 7 enemies farm the entire map and buy free units for me. Problem solved. Modern problems require modern solutions.

brings back the old days.
I would destroy the right bridge immediatly and focus on the left. Take out purple as soon as possible. Now you keep fighting on both sides which makes it much harder. Do have to say i like to say these uploads. From everything ive played, RA2 was the best.

@@untadagang6172 I think it's an annoyance but not in a bad way , forcing the opponent to destroy them away from his base or suffer additional damage , I used to be main Soviet but I always went for rhinos or apocalypse tanks .
@@ahmadtarek7763 Yeah. They effect from falling maybe just some balance for their lack of speed. That's why I always see them as a moving castle. Remember, lvl 3 of a Kirov can destroy whole base.
@@untadagang6172 I would have also called them flying castles but I played RA3 uprising where u get literal flying castles , man those were good memories . I also remember kirovs in 3 used to have a faster movement ability (which slowly killed it if I remember correctly ) and this still hit like a truck when they fall . Glad to see others sharing my love of the RA games , shame they stopped .

Yuri is not broken, just special XD They seem unbalanced at first (which they are) but they have ways around that. There's always a way to counter them as well, using commandos and artillery for starters.

Yuri seems like the most op faction, units run to your base to become money, your miners are portable although only used in early game, and you have faster, aquatic v3 rockets.

Hey zoom if you need a tip here it is Tip:If you press Q you go to the construction tab and W is the defense tab E is the infantry R is the vehicles and if you have a construction ready press Q again and it automatically selects it for you it's true i have a big sister that LOVES thi game

Looking back on it, Yuri is ridiculously overpowered. Combination dreadnought/stealth submarines, UFOs can attack air/land and disable power, mind control AND the grinder?!
well, for my opinion, skirmish game against 7 brutals AI with superweapons - the soviets are the hardest faction to fight against. 4 apocalypse tanks under iron curtain can be so deadly

Man i fucking love demo truck lines, I can listen to "one way trip" all day long, makes me giggle every damn time.
One of the most fun things you can do with Yuri faction is to capture a bunch of Allied Battle fortresses (so they become immune to mind-control themselves), fill them with crono-leggionaires and strategically yeet entire bases off the timespace (with some anti-air support)
Sick play, but why didnt you use Vipers to snipe some infantry to clear room for your MC towers to target tanks only? Also why don't you use way points? for example for your subs to chain attack different things.

7 brutal Yuris vs any of your choice
I always play vs 7 brutals but with superweapons, it's really really hard especially the iron curtain which allow enemy tanks to break through your defence very easily. My favourite maps is colossus. There I try to take enemy construction with engineer so that I can build and have 2 or 3 different kind of superweapons and destroy them only with that.
I use the Genetic Mutator to make unlimited money via slave miners.
Best strategy game ever! The lasting power of the game shows!

Red alert 2 players should know about best air defending unit, that's the allied airfleet shipyard. Two enough for taking down all kerovs
The Aegis Cruiser once it hits lv3 kirovs wont even get close

@@frauasyl Yuri has it's own specialties as well. Gatling cannons/tanks for air defense. Ufo and boomers for evasive offense. Etc

This game still holds strong as one of my favorite go to games..... i freaking loved playing brutal but could only beat 3 brutals against me....not 7
This pretty much just proved how damn OP Yuri faction is. I know you did this with the other factions but this one seemed like you had to put less effort in overall. The generators are especially OP because they generate decent initial power and with the ability to Garrison infantry for more power it is nearly impossible to hit low power and is comparatively cheaper than other factions.
I usually put mind-controlled infantry inside my generators, but it's a problem if the structure explodes, enemies pop out lol. Anyway, Soviet nuclear reactor still gives better power, but it's quite dangerous to have.
So little you can do with yuri unless you captured the enemies' mcv. And besides, he's only fighting an ai even if it's brutal. If he's fighting a human Allies he will be having a hard time defending his base once prism tanks shows up.
