@@tracypanavia4634 there are also a few patches you can install if you want to play the campaign, but cncnet works for multiplayer as well as regular skirmishes
why cant they make a new better C&C ..i mean not the nowadays spacecraft lookalike tanks and aircrafts..i mean the old way of desing and game play but much more improved...maps/tanks/soldiers/buildings etc...
Sir, you can press Q when your building is ready and just place it without picking it from the menu (As long as it's from the building menu) W will switch to the defense tab and if you have a defense building ready then you can place it just after clicking W. E to infantry and R for vehicles This will save you precious time

If you play RA2 and yuri, you should already know the ai mode of attack pattern, will be it on allied, soviet or yuri, yuri is the most easy to read, they mostly focus on a single power plant, make it a bait then pepper it with flak cannon/track/tropper or patriot missle/deployed guardian gi/ifv/ battle fortress with 5 guardian gi inside, as for the units, its mainly initiate followed by virus then yuri clone, 5 brutes and yuri prime, for armored its just laser tank then gatling, you can also expect 4 mastermind coupled with magnetron, floating disk just follows a single line of attack and its to either get to your power plant or ore refinery, I do play a modded version of RA2, its fear overkill, ai just throws everything it has on you from bad to worse, for yuri, its mental omega, its just the same, they throw everything they have on you hard and fast. I kinda like the mod version, simply because they do amp the difficulty by tremendous amount compared to the unmodded one, plus new units, buildings and maps.

This is giving me chills, on one match even if the placement is random I got the place top left part of this map. On a local PVP with my friends it's like 1 vs 7 even it's free for all they where taking turns in attacking. With no super weapons, using Great Britain but got the Grand Cannon on the tech lab. That match took 4 hours to finish, I was on defense until I manage to take down the base in the bottom left took his Yuri MCV.

I never build flack cannons. Flack tracks are cheaper and gain experience. You can also move them.
agree. Experienced flak tracks or even flak troops are quite powerful. Put them on attack routes to quickly farm up their experience levels

If you follow up a Psychic dominator attack with a flying saucer rush, you can blow up the enemy’s Construction yard and War Factory and then imprison their soldiers for more energy. It’s even easier with lots of psychic towers, Yuri units and no super weapons.

1.Group your units more often 2.Cash flow 3.Hot keys. Learn these and you'll be able to 1v7 brutal random on any map. Btw you play these 1v7 much like the zombie survival maps haha

The only reason it’s a lot easier, it’s because the AI do not know where to aim their psychic dominator, otherwise you’d easily lose. 😂

Having more factories increase production speed. It was really obvious to understand with multiple barracks. What i really did not know playing this game is attack move. It is really handy and I am still learning how to use it properly
Hey, you can use attack move by holding alt + shift, and it is really great to use it when you move a lot of troops around the map but you can't follow them.

You literally have everything possible in your base area and only 1 access point for the enemy’s. This is easy
its means only that computer is not smart enough. True ai should found reason and change strategy if it is necessary. in that way any choke points or sea doesnt matter anymore but its only RA2
@angelonewarrior if you play long enough you can do that easy. if we can only replace human player with true ai it can win even faster vs 20 brutal enemies. but good thing is that true ai cant win vs 7 humans in RA2:)

It's so funny how in RA games the strategy generally was "find the nearest neutral buildings and spam engineers to capture them ASAP" where in other RTS games (aka starcraft) the strategy is "how can I cheese my opponent down as fast as possible" (granted you'll find those types of players anywhere...) but it's just a thing I noticed only now about how the game plays out differently...

When Yuri's super weapon did not hurt you first time I thought it was a glitch.When thrid time - I saw the shit.Even units did not die.You coud be even 1 vs 1000 with super weapon if it doesn't work.
Units get mind controlled from Yuri's super weapon, not destroyed. Only buildings get damaged from it.
Okay, now do it on some non-cheaty map that has everything you need convinently accessible and easily defendable?

When I play against 7 brutals, I often pick Yuri's side then make a mind control bottleneck and grind my captures for cash. I didn't even know there was a map with this much resources close by. The plus side with being Yuri is it's easier to capture a base. I like being able to get a Soviet and Allied base up and running, then I'd be unstoppable, I like dragging on fights instead if quick battles.

@@lukesdewhurst the mastermind is crap... it needed an option to keep it from mind controlling more units than it can handle, then it would have been a good unit. But it ends up too suicidal and not effective enough for me to like it.
Yuri's air game is pretty weak. I usually send in the spy plane and para droppers just a head of the kriov to bair the aa. That gives them a extra 10 seconds or so. Then usually running with 9 or so. Selecting target 2 and 2 and 2 apart from construction yard having 3 kirov. The micro manage them to bomb all the way in. If it done well the aa is out of action some times even before targeting the kirov. The having 2 going for the gatling tanks. Reducing the aa to a rather low level. This usually let me take a few of them back

I've had the game for years. Been wanting to jump back in. tried about a month ago and couldn't get it to launch from Origin. Still have the discs..but no disc drive. Today tried and it worked perfectly fine...nothing changed..Good times. so very rusty at the game...Here goes playing randomly and getting back to beating 7 brutals..hopefully.

Enemies did not use psychic dominator in a useful way. Had it attacked ur builildings, it would be tough for u. Still good game
that's just the way the AI works. It just looks for where there are any units that it can be used on. Even if it's surrounded by the players units and tesla coils. , that's why he built those coils there.

Go to your game folder > Search for "RA2.ini" file and edit the "Video" options like that: [Video] VideoBackBuffer=no ScreenWidth=1440 ScreenHeight=900 StretchMovies=no *If you dont have the line "VideoBackBuffer=no", just add it for a smoother game. *If you have Yuri's Revenge expansion, do the same with "RA2md.ini" file.
