Some aegis can nullify all kirovs, saving a ton of money and efforts to micro rocketeers. Update: finally see some elite aegis later.
Yep, usually we dont use them against normal comp, and i still didnt played a lot of water maps, so it still doesn't come naturally
@@zoom3000 they would have been really useful during the early game. I would have built them in the 2 water areas north of the base to ease the defense effort. Other than that, loved your gameplay (and others you've shared too)
Fun fact: aegis shoot faster when you target them manually, compared to their ROF when they attack on their own. So not only are they strong Air denial on their own, but in case there’s just a few Kirovs too many, this bit of micro gives even an „oh crap“ button. Ridiculously OP AA when you target them manually.

thought the same thing, used to try to do 0 loss games vs 7 hardest AI. harriers always ended up ruining it with their suicide dives. But just saw the end of this clip. 2k losses damn. inefficient from start to finish.

Mirage tanks are massively underrated in skirmish. You can position them such that they will wipe out basically anything that rolls past them and almost never get hit.
The ai is a bit broken regarding mirage tanks. Thode things are completely invisible to the ai when stationairy

I doubt he would of been able to win if they could use SWs. 7 nukes hitting you all around the same time would practically be an instant loss.

i don't blame the player honestly. it's way too easy in this game to develop superweapons for either allies or soviets. I would throw Yuri in the group but I always thought Yuri's superweapon sucks balls

The pain
In defense one row of mirage tank + one row of prism tanks work much better than a row of grand cannon, especially if they're all elite. I also seem to remember there're times when a truck sits in the middle of the enemy base and you didn't target it first to explode all the other tanks and save yourself some work.
Those suicide trucks would do them dirty. Also you`d have to move them all the time because of Kirovs.
I don't like Aegis ships. They make me fall.

Please protect your prism tanks, those troops had families!!! Half and half prisms and mirages and you’ll churn through everything. Keep some IFVs at the back for anti air.
The most efficient way to stop Kirovs with Rocketeers is not to attack the enemy but place them at an interception point. When you attack with Rocketeers they often waste several seconds "positioning". When they are just chilling and a Kirov flies by they will fire as soon as it gets within range. With Aegis Cruisers - it might've been fixed, but I remember that while they attack automatically even while moving, once you order an attack the salvos will become way more dense, destroying enemy units within seconds.

I HAVE SOMEZING VERY EXZITING FOR YOU COMMAHNDER! EET IS CALLED MY...MEERAAAJ TANK. IT HAS THE ABILITY TO....actually kill enemy tanks. Unlike the prism tank. No but seriously, mirage tanks are much much better against Rhinos/Apocs and you could have won waaaaaay faster if you had a 50/50 mix of mirages and prisms instead of all prisms. Also running rocketeers into 3 flak cannons is usually not a great idea ;) Fun video though!
Prism tanks are actually really good if mass produced, the thing is that the are literal glass cannons.

I remember playing this game when I was 12 and I kept choosing America every time I play because I just spam prism tanks. I was even so proud of myself to beat 2-3 AI nations at easy to normal difficulty because of that lol. Such a nostalgic game.

Likely an add-on or something for auto-repair damaged buildings. I don't think he presses any buttons, there is instant auto-repair.
As I remember correctly, if you hold shift button during making order units, you will order 5 per 1 click. Your mouse should be tough, like pro-korean SC player's mouse.
Used to love training dozens of Yuris and just commandeering any enemy that came near

You're a very good player, but there's room for further improvement: 1) Since you're already using spies to steal money, why don't you also put spies into War Factory and Barracks to upgrade your troops ? The difference is significant. 2) I see you struggled to aerially defend your Prism Tanks with Rocketeers, so why not just add some IFVs in the mix ? The IFVs are not vulnerable to anti-air, they are on the ground "protected" by the Prism Tanks, so it's a better match. Cheers !
You know, one or two IFVs mixed in with your Prism Tanks would have saved so many lost from stray V3 rockets and airborne Siege Choppers (which counter Rocketeers, it seems). Entertaining game though! I noticed that the radiation from Demolition Trucks lasts slightly longer. Is that a recent balance change? And last question, I promise! I noticed you never try to infiltrate a War Factory or Barracks with a Spy - is the veterancy simply not worth it?

Funny how they have flying troopers, still use zeppelins and regular tanks. Gotta love red alert. And those V2's, truck sized missile, when 2.5 meter missile is good enough to cause big havoc.
I think a spy in the enemy infantry or war machine building gives a permanent buff to all your units. Might make things a bit easier. One of my strategies was using defense buildings as weapons. By building power plants to extend where I could build, eventually having just about the entire map lol.
You showed real restraint not sending 2 spies to greens completely unprotected ore refinery.

I miss listening to "Grinder"...the best theme ever in RA2. You should not have focused in making multiple Grand Cannons, three at each bridge is sufficient enough as long as you support these with at least seven Mirage Tanks and Infantry. Also, build many Patriot Missiles to improve air defense. Considering that there were Paratroopers, disperse your dogs to kill them.

The same happens with War Factories, adding 1 level of veterancy to War Factory and Shipyard units.
Lifehack: don't touch prism thanks when near enemy base. Don't point them to targets unless absolutely necessary. Key is their HUGE range. Bring the ones at he back forward while enemy thanks that approach get obliterated by those that stay. Your cloud of prism tanks slowly but surely will approach the base with minimal loses. Half of them fully promoted. Also very important to cover air with cheap and fast IFV tanks not with rocketiers. Two tanks with engineers is a bonus to keep promoted prisms alive. Whenever I get 20 prisms, 10 IFV with 2 engineers. I go and easily chain kill enemies one by one. Except for France with its long range cannon maybe. When I saw hundreds of prisms and rocketiers die I felt sorry for their aimless demise))
I used to make loads of maps when I was younger. My favorite one was Transylvania which contained a huge forest with a village in the middle, then on the top middle of the map was count draculas castle with yuri in front of it and a t rext a bit further away lmao awesome times
I was 19 when RA2 came out. Spent many a night playing ranked matches. A lot of them guys back then were stupid good.

I hope you'll consider moving away from these boxy, flat maps. they're really boring to look at. It gives me no visual cues to relate the progress with. There's nothing like "ow, that's that bridge where he just kicked half an army's ass, despite the layout having obvious disadvantages"
