I did!!!
A sober cameraman would make these videos so much easier to watch. Holy crap this camera guy is NEVER on what you’re trying to demonstrate.
a cleaner script with multiple cuts would be perfect. the long shots are terrible. fillers and speech disfluency make it difficult to get through its entirety.
Cut the background head banging noise would be great help to hear his voice.
And the uuuuuh’s and uuuuuuuhmmmm’s too.
Microphone wouldn't go a miss either.
@@vanimaladventures Your films are ?
Great video for the beginner welder. Didn't assume previous knowledge of the viewer and touched on all the basics.
This video should come on dvd in every mig welder. Wow! Best video, thank you
I like how he's talking about one thing and the cameraman is just pointing at another thing completely and goes towards the thing he's talking about like for a second
dude needs to learn when to zoom in. he only needed to zoom in twice the whole fuckin video. Should have cut for zooms probably
🤣🤣
Nobody cares what you think
Holy crap camera dude, hard to pay attention with the camera moving and zooming so much. Focus dude
🤣🤣🤣🤭🤭🤭
Great video. For future reference please do not play music during the discussion. It makes following the tutorial harder than it needs to be with all that unnecessary noise.
This is the most detailed and best coverage of all the beginners videos I've watched so far. You don't "assume" that we know "something" already, and you cover things I've never seen before. It is like you teach a new guy at your shop who has never weld before, and you don't want to miss a thing. Kudos for a well made instructional video. Thank you.
"you don't assume that we know something already" awesome!
Yeah if i could hear the damn thing!
Damn crybabies
@@steveg2509 lol what
I feel like I’m watching the office with this camera work. Special thanks for being a lefty and making the righties have to adapt for once.
wow, this guy knows how to teach, congrats Matt, you know how to weld and how to teach it greetings from Portugal
Point: Shielding gas doesn't protect the weld from impurities floating in the air. It protects the weld from the air itself; which is comprised of gasses mainly oxygen and water vapor. It is being picky but new welders may not understand that it is the air you are shielding. I like all videos that explain welding and get more folks trying to learn this valuable skill. Thank you for this series.
Don't know what people are complaining about. Watching on phone with Bluetooth headset. Audio is perfect. Great video Eastwood!!
Thank you Matt. Excellent teaching videos. Will start using my welder, 135 in a couple of months or so, and I am trying to learn as much as I can to minimize the mess ups.
Been learning stick welding. Just got the Mig back from repairs and just needing gas. Your video is great. Thanks man. You gonna be my primary source of theory.
I don't know crap about welding, cars or any of that good stuff. I was too intimidated in school to take those classes...but I always wanted to learn. Thank you for posting this and teaching me something.
Haha, people are so critical of this video. I had no issue hearing what he was saying. Yeah, in some parts he's moving around a lot where it looked like it would be hard for the camera to follow, but he gave a lot of practical advice/knowledge and he is speaking from experience. He did a good job.
Great video, great welding. Only one thing, I get distracted by the tattoos. Thanks for the info, sorry my mind gets so easily distracted. Will try later to watch again later.
best video I ever watched
Great video. Thanks. Trying to learn this now... Bought a 2nd hand MIG and went out and tried to do all the beginners mistake directly before watching this video. Think I manage to do at least some of them. Time to go out again and see what else I can do wrong, then look at part #2. "An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made, in a narrow field." Niels Bohr. Thanks again and greetings from Europe.
Very professional and very detailed! Thanks Eastwood!!!
Great tutorial, thanks! The two scales on the gas regulator are liters/minute (L/m) and cubic feet/hour (CF/h). Since there are 28.3 liters per cubic foot, it makes sense that the scales are approximately 2:1.
Great video. Audio did go at the last minute or so but thanks to your hand movements I understand what you was saying. keep up the great work
Great content! Thank you so much for taking the time to make this very basic introductory video. I recently bought a welder on a whim and have no idea how to use it. I am now have confidence to give it a go after watching these videos
The best instructional video I've come across so far. Thank you!
Shielding gas displaces oxygen so you don’t get rapid oxidation while you’re welding. Prevents instant corrosion basically from the intense heat of welding 2 components together.
Thanks so much man. This was super helpful. Cheers from Durban, South Africa.
Great teaching and demonstration instructions. Four stars. Thanks, Donnie
you make it very easy to get going. and i use to make a straight line the wrong way. thanks for putting out this video
A very pleasant and professional video! Thank you MaTT!!!
I had to turn the subtitles off to watch the video. They were hilarious and reading them was actually more entertaining than the video itself! There were so many misunderstood words that came out all wrong with completely different meanings. But all-in-all, it was a really good video and cleared up some questions I had. Really, BIG Congrats on a good video!
Thanks! KZhead's auto captions are hit and miss - but usually get the message through.
Thank you for an excellent video. I am a beginner and the details were very helpful.
This guy is an amazing teacher... great information and style. Don't like the background music though... need to hear the instructor since he is fantastic.
My first time watching a video on learning welding and it's yours. Amazing job and explanation on how to and how not to. And the cameraman too .
Thank you so much, brand new at welding, great help 👍
Love it! I’ll take this to welding school here in Houston
Thank you for the insight Matt
Great video! Thanks so much...gonna practice today with my Eastwood 135!
Im only 13 and my brother was teaching me about welding this is very helpful
Great information bro, thank you much appreciated
Cracking tutorial! Save me to go to a welding class
My buddy just hooked me up with a Miller millermatic 252 220A MIG I'm gonna go learn how to weld!!!
Thanks for the video. Helps a lot!!!!
Excellent video for mig starting 👍 good job. Could also do mig instruction using flux core mig welding. There are many mig welders that only use flux core wire.
Hmmmmm I seem to have seen this guy somewhere else.... Iron Trap Garage. Excellent connection! A demo from a guy who ACTUALLY uses the product like daily!
Great video man, I appreciate it.
Great info for amateur welders like myself .. Thanks
6:45 L/min = Liters per minute, not pounds per minute.
Cheers for this video just got my self on a welding course
Great Teaching
Great tips for a beginner....Thanks!
Good video brother!
Nice to see Tony Romo found a good gig after the cowboys:)
MAGZ Farms hope he’s a better welder than he is a qb and/or commentator
Great info, but brutal camera work Joe!
Turn up voice audio just a little More, and turn down background music. Thanks eastwood.
Yeah..turn it up so we can hear you better..lool
I can't hear you.
why have background music on the entire time you're filming a how to video...? pretty stupid
I don’t hear any music
Bruh. Skipping because yeah thats pretty awful audio.
Thanks for sharing knowledge
Good video. The only thing I wish you had done was mention the metal thickness you were welding to, the metal thickness of your patch and your wire/rod selection. Also an explanation on why you chose that combo for your work. Other than that it was a good straight forward video.
Appears to be a good video with great information. Spoken audio may need to go up. I had to resort to my headphones
Very nice video.... thanks for sharing
Great instruction!
Host Matt has his Iron-something garage. He is good on camera
Thanks. That was awesome
Awesome video
OK subbed and watching. Thanks!
thanks for the tips
Good stuff
Much appreciated
The camera man loves the zoom button! lol nice vid
Matt, sorry this is an older video but what is a good lens setting for mig welding?
Damn I'm left handed and there's not a lot of lefty people so this is help full!!
owen, i'm left handed also but I can and do some things either hand. you just have practice alot!
I'm left handed but I learned to weld with my right. same shit, just mirror what this dude doing.
Same here. Good info.
good video good teacher
thanks, I'm new and this is very helpful
gonna get my son some welding stuff for christmas
Hi hi what is the cheapest type of welder I could buy at say harbor freight simply to weld together a bicycle a normal bicycle frame? I don't know a thing about welding thanks
Gosh I had the weilder flash thing one time I had looked at the arc and was fine for the rest of the day but I went to sleep and when I woke up I thought I was going blind it was awful pain everyone I opened my eyes and it still was painful when they were closed it went on for 2 hours than I got some eye drops and it stopped but it was soo bad
Hi and thanks What mig do you suggest for a bigginer that want to weld to the front end of the car to fit rack and pinion
Thank you for the demonstration a mug welding
Superb!
Большое спасибо. Очень интересно и познавательно :-)
As soon as I saw the Tats on hands and fingers I changed my mind about learning to (hobby).weld.
🤡
Awesome thanks a million 👨🏭
You're welcome!
And I like to understand this welding work
What mig machine do u recommend for welding a trailer? Thanks
hi what the different between mig gas torch & mig none gas torch do i need to change the torch if i switch to different welding type for example to mig none gas AKA fluxcore welding
Good job, thanks. You wouldn't happen to be a Master and Commander movie fan?
I'm self learning Frame and chassis work what's the best set up just for chassis and frame notching and sheet metal work
Thanks for the great video. I just bought a Lincoln 140 HD welder. I’ve never welded before and I have a question about grounding. If I lean or touch a part of my body on the piece I’m welding, can I electrocute myself when the weld begins? Probably a crazy question, but I don’t want to get hurt before the project even begins. Thanks for the help!
Matt just make sure you wear rubber rain boots then you will be safe!! They have them at welding store
hi .... can I use Argon 100% in this case?..... thanks
Do you have Hold Fast tattooed on your hands because your a Thrice fan?
Will Clint Eastwood also do a product presentation?? Looking forward to CLint:-)
Helpful video
But the cameraman needs to be slapped.
Excellent video only draw back is the sound quality
Arc eye has to be up there in the top 5 most painful things in life 😂😂😂😂
Like hot sand in your eyes
Hi l like watching these videos but l could not hear what he was saying obviously the video is old, but when I wanted to learn l was 15 years old and l wanted to build an of road buggy so l got a job at a fabrication shop after work ,working for free ,and they thought how to arc weld and mig weld in 2 weeks .but practice makes perfect. Cheers les from Adelaide south Australia
"These parts won't need to be replaced very often" me, going through 3 tips in 8 hours learning fluxcore: yup sounds about right
😂 thats not bad when i started i was doing through 3 in an hour.
I'm lucky to have my mate to show me how to do this! He's a professional mechanic that does this stuff for a living. I just bought myself a flux core welder (all I can afford) so I can keep my cheapo car on the road
1/2" stickout for flux core 1/4" stickout for mig
Had to find another video after about a minute, the background music just didn't need to be there.
came here to refresh myself on mig welding as I haven't done it in nearly 8 years. I primarily weld stick but for you absolute beginners please pay attention to the safety aspect of welding. can't stress it enough, the last thing you want is a welding light burn. always wear the proper protection and always make sure your lens in your helmet is in there correct. I can attest to how bad it can mess up your eyes, I had 2020 vision before my eyes got light burned and now I need glasses to see fine beyond 10 feet.
Your fault should have been more careful.
@@fosoofkkkfkfkckd well yea no shit, i was also arrogant and a young teen when i started. when you're that young you tend to be reckless and forsake safety.
Good instruction
I’m gonna buy the 250. It’s on sale now.
I can't believe i just watched almost half an hour of how to MIG weld and still haven't been shown where/how this magic wire comes from..
Hi, will start welding soon. I want to build my own chopper bike custom shop. Im stucked at welding.
That dang music at the end most important part ruined the whole video
