Tbh the warriors could have won a chip even without the kd trade and kept harrison barnes. Dame joining the bucks, lebron joining the heat, dwight first stint joining the lakers. They all joined a playoff team that had finals success with a prime MVP that lead them. Among these only lebron at least won in different teams to at least be in the goat debate but the players who switched to an already good team with an mvp dimishes value and contribution. Dirk, giannis, and jokic are not even in the goat debate (yet maybe soon), and they stayed with their teams and bus drove to the chip.
LeBron and Dwight are in no way similar to KD or Dame by your own logic. Wade WAS NOT in his prime neither was Kobe. They were both still very good, but unlike Steph and Giannis, neither was still capable of leading a team as Batman.
Cavs would've got at least one more without KD in GSW.

@@dubdeuce1517 they didn't need to add one of the top 3 players in the league at that time to get passed the cavs. That's a black eye on the legacies of both those former top 3 players. Just a bigger black eye on the player who hasn't won outside that partnership than on the one who has.
@@adu11 maybe not, but the only reason the Warriors won in 2015 was no Kyrie. Our next highest scorer for that series was Timofey Mozgov. They probably could've won again without KD, but adding him was overkill imo.

He has already been. In every single team he has been on. Brought OKC to the Finals at 21 years old while being non experienced with a non experienced team. Curry never did that. He brought his own team and won fmvp only in 2022 when the team already had experience of 6 finals. You gotta count that even if Durant didn't win with OKC.

@@OtakuTalkODthe key issue with all of these guys arguments that without kd cavs would’ve won is that these guys all act like if kd didn’t join the warriors they would’ve just had the same roster without kd. Too many variables but the fact the warriors had max cap space it’s realistic to assume they could’ve either got another top player or a few quality role players and went back and beat the cavs team that they went a 7 game series with. In my opinion with or without kd the warriors were destined to dominate those few years due to the huge expansion in the salary cap and the very team friendly contracts the warriors had going into that offseason
