NBA Legends Explain Why Kevin Durant is Better Than Everybody

2024 ж. 17 Мам.

Kevin Durant is unstoppable and immovable. He can dominate everywhere and his passing game has been elite lately. Let's not forget that KD is currently the best NBA player after returning from an Achilles injury which only one player in history has come back from. Even that injury couldn't slow him down! 🔥🔥🔥

The man shouldn't have his rings or his finals performances discredited ever but cmon, he pulled easily one of the most spineless moves in sports history and created the most stacked roster ever to the point where every year sucked because ileveryone already knew who would be in the finals

    • If KD stuck with the W’s to finish out his career, the numbers that he’d be consistently racking up with ease on limited minutes(chilling on the bench, up 20+ in the 4th), in addition to 7 or 8 rings, more finals MVPs than MJ… it would be absolutely legendary and put him up in the top 3 players in NBA history(passing LBJ). He’d retire the all time NBA scoring leader. And doing it on GS would’ve made it easy to stay healthy bc he wouldn’t have to carry an entire team at all look like a casual walk in the park with the skills and finesse he always brings…. But its all just a pipedream at this point. He broke and gave the haters what they wanted.

  • I met KD in person and I could not believe that a human being could be built on such tall and lanky scaffolding. I am 6'6, about 4 inches shorter than him but it felt like his shoulder line was level with my forehead, and when I shook his hand he briefly turned around to one of his boys and held his other hand outstretched to him (i think he wanted a bottle of water or something). I was struck by how far away his outstretched hand was, and how quickly it got there, and how the rest of his arm folded but still occupied so much volume of space. It was there that I realized just how problematic it would be to guard him, his crossovers are literally 2X as wide as mine, my standing reach just barely grazes his elbow when he reaches up, and I'm flipping 6'6. It feels like being next to a crane, and I will never forget that moment of awe. I met Lebron too but the vibe I got from him was more of a gigantic cyclops among men, like if you face his side and press on him like if defending the post, your arm cannot reach across to the opposite shoulder because of how broad he is. When I saw him I thought there is no way this guy can outjump me because of his bulk but then you see the videos of him catching alley-oops with his chin at rim level or taking off from the freethrow line and think if someone told me he did that, I wouldn't believe it.

  • There’s so many things you factor in on KD because he’s a first ballot hall of famer and Top 12 All time! Another ring if he wins with the nets would get him top 10. People will try to discredit him for his move to GS but the crazy thing is without even thinking about it we all would’ve did the same thing. So if I’m in a position where im a free agent after playing 9 years for the same team with no results, the team that plays the right way, is able to elevate my game to a higher level, and gives me a better shot at winning the title is coming to me while im in the Hamptons asking me to join them AND still get pretty good money 💰 while being in a nice city like San Francisco CA where I can invest in businesses and you think ima pass that up?!? No way I would. Plus KD won back to back finals mvp and was the main BUS DRIVER during those 2 years. Best move he’s ever made.

    • why did KD join the GSW then? He could have joined 27 teams, so Not OKC , NOT CAvs and Not GSW, that's 27 teams to choose from, why join the team that beat you the very season before? why join the team that if you stay in the western conference you have to beat in order to reach the finals? unless you are not unstoppable and you are very scared to face GSW so instead of beat them you join them?

  • i dont get people hating on him for going to golden state... he is elite and wanted to play with the best there is. if you love the game you have to understand the memories that will create for him. He is a human like you at the end of the day. We all push our favorite players to perform better and now when more than 2 elite player are on the same team we hate on them. Let them cook and enjoy those plays cause players like kyrie and KD are 1of1...
