    • ​@bananascoaster1243 They aren't meant to grip on a smooth concrete floor lol. Climbing shoes are also mostly meant for standing on tiny ledges with just your toes. The forefoot and heel sections themselves aren't really grippy.

  • lol at the people thinking turning it over and putting your whole body into a grip strength tester is a good gauge of their grip 🙄 y’all proud of your 200lb grip strengths are guaranteed just doing it wrong. The AVERAGE for males on a proper dynamometer test is about 76lbs, when done correctly. Y’all aren’t pulling 150lbs+

  • I don’t trust those grip testers. I’ve scored WAY higher than any of these people on two different testers in two different situations (the only two times I’ve tried these devices). Yeah I’m naturally bigger and in ok shape, but ain’t no way I beat all the gymnasts and rock climbers I’ve seen do these things

    • Exactly. I'm 16, not particularly buff, yet my grip is 55kg which is approximately 120 lb. I struggle to believe that guys who fling themselves around violently gripping on to bars would have weaker grips than me.

    • ⁠@@ashbyk9439200LBs isn’t unrealistic, if you meet people who work out a lot, or are in extensive manual labor, that grip strength could be seen as merely somewhat above average. My grip strength is 200LB, and I am in high school, I spent some months training grip, and I’ll tell you if you’re willing to put in the time, you can see some pretty big progress.
