I honestly have eternal sympathy for the Saints with that no called pass interference. It wasn't just a random play, it was the game winning drive in the playoffs with their last bit of time left. It was criminal.
@andrewslonkosky14848 ай бұрын
Imagine the steam shooting from my ears watching that play! There was a stretch right there of about 3 out of 4 seasons where we should've been in the SB, not saying we would've won or were just so dominant like the recent Chiefs. But we're the biggest "should've, could've, would've" dynasy outside of the Bills making and losing 4 straight SB. We went back to back to back ONE play away from advancing be it the Vikings TWICE the Diggs walk-off td in 2017, the OT fg in 2020, and here vs the Rams at least the others I can stomach we just didn't seal the deal, but to have it in the championship game taken away by the refs? Not pre-season, mid-season fighting for a final post-season spot or even wild card or divisional but the dang conf chip?!?! Just for the Rams to give 1 of the most boring performances vs the Pats anyway? At least we would've put points up 😂.

As a lifelong Pats fan I often wonder if Tom Brady's career would have gone down the same path had that one call VS the Raiders gone the other way? If they lost that game would Bledsoe have come back and claimed his starting QB job the following season? Even if Brady kept that starting job, would his confidence have been damaged, affecting his next few seasons? Obviously we'll never know, but sometimes it's interesting to wonder "what if?" I mean, who knows, maybe Brady would be an unknown today if the original call held up. It certainly is possible.

He will still have his skill, but idk man many teams future dynasties get obliterated and blown down because of a superbowl loss. It took brady 5 years to come back to the superbowl when he lost to the giants as an 18-0 team, if he won the story might have been different.

As you should. Your team most likely goes to the Superbowl. Brees was still awesome. But you never know if you're gonna get back. Those calls ruin teams seasons. Ridiculous. The bryant one was bad too. Remember matthews getting those all the time. Like what do you do. Not the same but the bills/chiefs game. Not saying the bills win, as i think they weren't ready for that game but the wrs were being tackled and held so bad. None were called. Then vs the bucs they called all of them. It was great to see but then i was like where were these calls when we played them. It was a game to go to the freaking Superbowl.
That Seahawks touchdown was the topic of discussion for almost a week when I was in high school. Me and the boys were *LIVID.*
It took brady 5 years to come back to the superbowl when he lost to the giants as an 18-0 team, if he won the story might have been different.
but thanks to Bellichick there was a dynasty in the first place
no, it would be the same, i watched around that time, brady was keeping his qb position, if we nearly went to the sb with him that meant great things in the future, we didn't make anything next season and missed the playoffs, did we kick him out then? we needed a bad ending to humble our franchise and flip the switch on
Highly unlikely dude.. he’s the goat for a reason
Its kinda like the umpire who missed the fan interference that helped the Yankees win and start their dynasty.
That call on Mathew for "Roughing the Passer" is a perfect axample of how soft the NFl has become in the last few years...
Yeah ... except that concussions and injuries really do end people's careers and ruin their lives, which is of course bad for the athletes, but also the organizations and fans don't like it if their all-star players abruptly exit stage left. In other words, the NFL got "soft" because everyone realized that people's bodies just aren't that sturdy.

And the bitch ass announcers are paid to agree with the bull shit
Exactly, that was a sack, nowhere near roughing the passer
I saw somewhere that during this time they'd changed the rules of tackling the quarterback. They can't take the quarterback with their full weight or hit with the helmet. That's why he was penalized. It's a kind of stupid rule.
@@nytestar4035 agreed it was a borderline impossible rule, with a contact sport. The nfl owes Clay Matthews an apology for that bs.
I'm honestly shocked that linebackers and D-linemen didn't see those calls and say "You know what? I'm gonna get penalized anyway, so I'm just gonna try and kill the QB and get my money's worth out of it." Maybe you get ejected with a meaningless fine, but nothing will get the NFL to change their ridiculous rules faster than seeing it cause one of their golden arms to get knocked unconscious or with a broken leg in the backfield. Goodell is a fucking joke, and the referees association is complicit
3:28, I loose it every time
Loose? You do yoga?
That Saints no call actually ruined that years Super Bowl
Honest to god the Nfl needs to make a game protest rule so if you think it’s a bad call not overturned then just refuse to play and if your wrong you receive huge fine and possible suspension but if your right the referee receives a strike 2 strikes in a career and they are fired this would make refs actually try and keep there job
What's worse is that the MLB got rid of the protesting rule and sure enough, more bad calls were made from piece of crap umpires. Your idea would work, but the NFL isn't interested in good ideas. They know that the outrage over referee decisions keeps people interested and glued to their screens, so they'll keep letting them happen time after time...

That ‘14-‘15 playoff season was wild in the NFC. Lions had the controversial DPI flag picked up for Dallas and ended up losing, then the next game Dallas has the Dez “no-catch” play, against the Packers, and ended up losing. Then the next game the Packers have the botched catch on the onside kick by Bostic, and ended up losing to the Seahawks. Then the Seahawks lose the super bowl to the Patriots.
I followed the NFL since 1980, but, the constant bad calls from the officials most particularly in the last number of years has caused me to turn my back on the game. Referees should be reviewed after every call they make. This should be done automatically after every, single, flag. Why? Because 50% of the calls they make are complete and total bullshit. The game is too regulated as it is, and the 'subjectiveness' of a referee on the sideline should be checked by the booth every, single, time. NFL referees are the absolute worst on this planet. If they are called by the booth as making a bad call, they should be forced to leave the game or surrender their pay for the day.
