I’ve got a pair of Nikes I paid 160 for, and I’ve had them for almost 10 years as my everyday shoe for work, yard work, and pretty much everything else. Best money I’ve ever spent, New Balance wouldn’t last anywhere near that long.

Function over fashion. I'll take anything over a Nike shoe. His feet, ligaments, tendons, joints, and muscles will reward him. He will have less pain and injuries with NB footwear. They are made to fit your feet. Not to cram your feet in like a Nike. Just so we are clear I'm an Asics fan.

My buddy lost his leg in a car accident and his doctor that made his artificial leg suggested he wear new balance. I have had a couple pair of sneakers and they were super comfortable. Put on a pair before you talk trash on them.

NB has made cleats for grass sports for years. Soccer, Baseball, lacrosse etc.
New balance has been prominent in the lacrosse cleats game for a long time now… only had one pair when they made them for the Warrior brand, after that I always stuck with Nikes instead though 😂

New Balance has been doing big things. Some of the best cleats in baseball. Their basketball roster is great and the performance models have great. Casually NB has been killing it. Good move from MHJ. Start the wave
The Nike Vapor carbon fly TD cleats were unmatched when they came out. Probably the only model I know where they go for like $400 used

These cleats are a blank canvas to get them customized anyway a player wants. Most players order light color cleats and send them off to be customized.

These shoes look great. Nice clean look - forget the bling on shoes, super clean minimalistic look is NICE. NB has fantastic sports shoes; their baseball line is top of the league. SUPER comfortable. And no, don't change the N logo - it is classic (I agree I don't like the full brand name on those lacrosse shoes, but my guess is the MHJ shoes don't have that).
Ohtani is a NB guy. There was a time they didn't pay for endorsements. A short time ago they entered Baseball.

3 things that strike me here. One is he’s an athlete and sure money is the main consideration but maybe he also found the most comfy cleat for himself as well as one that will be better at reducing injuries etc. Second, everybody is talking about them which is a win for new balance. And lastly, he didn’t go with anything flashy which shows that he may be more humble and that stands out to nfl teams as well. Why can’t we just be happy with mediocrity as long as the player is?
