2020 ж. 8 Қаз.

"Asian Americans: Battling Bias," produced by the CBS News Race and Culture unit, explores the discrimination facing the Asian American community in 2020. In addition to fighting the devastating health impacts of the coronavirus pandemic, Asian Americans have faced high unemployment, business boycotts and racist attacks caught on video.

  • Honestly, I think Covid-19 isn't the cause of racism against people of East-Asians heritage in the West; it's brought out and magnified attitudes that have always been there.

And any perceived harm from one person belonging to that category extends the hatred to the entire category. "hate is a virus" is true. Solution is to free ourselves from the idea of "we"/"they" categories.

GOOD or BAD, you shouldn’t have regrets anymore, because your decision is now an informed one. I am going to illustrate two scenarios.1. Racism when US Constitution is respected. 2. Racism when US Constitution is disrespected or fractured.

Started from Genghis Khan conquering a part of Europe in ancient time and with China being a powerful and prosperous nation throughout ancient time, Japan being almost as powerful militarily and economically as the US during world war 2 and 80s and 90s respectively. And in recent years, China being very dominant in economy with number of billionaires almost surpassing America and even technology. Think about it, only Asians could really unseat white people in economy and world order.

I'm actually Hispanic (Mexican and Honduran race) but I was called a slur on the bus home from my university. Because of my eyes and appearance I look more Asian-like and a woman called out that I carried the Corona. I didn't know what to do and I was happy to be back home. I told my parents about this and they felt bad. I'm not Asian-American but all this happened when I was finally told to come home from my college classes because of stay-at-home orders/quarantine 😔😥

This means only having one parent OR having parents that are divorced OR witnessing abuse at the hands of a parent or relative OR having parents or parents that don't want their children. Many times they don't feel loved so this is what they do. They are not guided.
