  • 0:46 Why didn't white move Rc8? The engine seems to suggest that black is at a more advantageous position. Is it because those two pawns are too potent?

    • There is no difference between attacking the rook on c8 with either the king or the white rook. Black will sacrifice the rook for the pawn either way. But Rc8 moves the white rook further away from the black pawns. So there is no reason to do this.
