    • Idk. Just make sure the tablet doesn't go beyond 60c, idc what the manufacturers do, idc what you do. Its unsafe, uncomfortable to think of, and quite frankly a stupid design flaw. Its experimental tech. It's made to last at best 5years so enjoy, i guess

    • @@ETAPRIME They asked for feedback in some Reddit communities and forums so a lot of us nerds got to chime in. For example, the 1TB option was going to come with only 16GB RAM, and it was going to have a microSD card slot instead of the UHS-II SD. I think it's because of that they have made such a perfect device. They've made something that appeals to every type of prosumer. Photographer/ artist? Check. (1600p instead of 1440p, stylus, UHS-II SD) Home recording? Check. (Passive mode, extremely expandable USB layout)

  • This tablet needs a proper Surface Pro style kickstand built into the device. When you lay it down you block air intake, when you put on the extra stand you block air intake. This is a huge oversight that basically necessitates you carry around a separate tablet stand. Hopefully they get this fixed for the next version of this tablet.

Sometimes I wonder if it's the kickstand just trapping in extra heat on that SSD. Metal on metal on metal. Doesn't help I have to have a Satechi metal hub along the side because what can you do with 2 USB-C ports otherwise? Now I've got buyers remorse looking at this lol.

If this turns out to be all the pomp it's being hyped up to be this may be my home / OTG device mobile computing! BTW, not everyone plays games which seems to be the current mind set of so many. I will like to see the following considered in a subsequent video. 1. If connected to an external monitor, say an ultrawide 40" 4K monitor, will the V3 keyboard accessory be able to control both monitors without using an external BT or uSB KB? 2. BlackMagic's Davince Resolve - i would like to see some demonstration with this application to demonstrate scrubbing, frame drops (or the lack thereof) rendering, and such tasks related to video NLE production. 3. MiniPC connection: Will I be able to use the V3's keyboard and trackpad if i connect to an external miniPC like Minisforum's UM790 Pro? Looking forward to the sequel on V3. Cheers, Jerry

  • One way to solve the issue of ventilation with the kickstand is to use a hinged frame that fits snugly around the tablet. The hinge could be a mid-point allowing the tablet to be used as a tablet, thin laptop, in tent mode (or A-Frame mode), paired with an external higher resolution touch display that they also sell could also make it a dual touch screen mobile computer. The frame would have cutouts for the buttons, ports, etc.

  • I really hope you can review the VLINK or however it should be spelled. I want to know if it is just an app or if you’re essentially getting a mux between Tablet display or an external HDMI/DP-in which would be AMAZING as a 2nd display. If touch passes through would be a bonus too. 165Hz 2nd monitor (FreeSync is a bonus) for a beefier laptop or tablet mode for portable viewing would be awesome.

    @Zaf9670@Zaf9670Ай бұрын
    • I'm sure this is all hardware and has nothing to do with software. The only issue I see is hooking up anything else other than a PC. The aspect ratio will throw this off so hopefully it will have a menu system to fix this like a traditional portable monitor. I have two portable monitors, one 17" 1440p and the other 18" 1600p, both at 165Hz w/ FS. I actually prefer my 17" as it will still output to 1080p on my Switch for example while on my 18" it would not work at all for some reason. Another example would be with a media dongle. On the 18" it would resort to 720p instead of outputting to 1080p as it's not a native 1080p screen. It's taking half of that 1440p resolution instead. Also with my 17" monitor I could use my mClassic to up covert anything to 1440p instead. So basically this probably won't be made for consoles so much unless it could output to 1440p like the PS5 or XSX. 16:10 is nice for PC use only imo. Also I wish the screen resolution was 1080p with these iGPUs at this time. Maybe in a few years we could do 1440p/1600p. Low quality graphics should always be an option, not a requirement. I do like myself a sharp display but 1080p isn't so bad still. It's only a 14" screen as well not a 16" so much.

    • Yea I hope he can review the VLINK in detail. Hoping it is hardware based that passes through the touch, ideally even the keyboard/trackpad when the typecover is attached. Edit: From their product page: Hot to activate the VLINK (DP-in video input) function? 1. Function description: VLink (DP-in) only supports the function of a portable display when the input device is connected to the VLink port of the V3 via the Type-C port when the power is off. This allows the video and audio signals from the input device to be displayed directly. 2. Function instructions: Power-on access: The DP-in function can be activated after the user is prompted to turn off the computer via the application in the Windows system. In sleep mode: The screen is on and the application in the Windows system prompts the user to enable the DP-in function after the computer is turned off. When switched off: The video/audio signals from the input device are displayed directly. So it is hardware based actually, and 'most likely' without touch/keyboard/trackpad forwarding.

That being said MPP is very prone to jitter when drawing slow diagonal lines, it has improved with MPP2.6 (the version used by Minisforum V3) so the line quality line will come down the the pen itself, if it the first party pen is bad you can always try with the RENAISSER Raphael 530 Stylus, or the official Microsoft's Slim pen 2.
