Great advice. I had 5 Dogo’s at one point in time. They know how to connect with your soul. Can’t explain. I’ve had dogs my whole life (I’m 48) and nothing compares to a Dogo.

My dogo is nothing like a pitbull. I had a blue pitt for 14 years, and now I have a dogo. The dogo is nowhere near as stubborn as a Pitt and easier to train. They're very sweet dogs too.
but I've heard they're more powerful than pitbulls these dogs are literally used to hunt wild boars I don't think pitbulls can do anything to wild boars
@mountainkid417 pitbulls are used for grab dogs on boars. They don't have a great sense of smell, so people use them to hold the boar down. Dogos have good noses and hunt as well as grab. They can be very sweet dogs too. I have two, and they're very well mannered, but yes they are powerful.

I love hearing this, I've been wanting a guard breed again (experienced), I just lost my amazing, one in a billion 3/4 pit bull mix last year. A bully mastiff type dog seems perfect for me now, I've been researching Dogos for years. I love my pitbull to death but good Lord alive, her skull was so thick, if she weren't so damn sneaky I'd think she didn't have a brain!! 😂😂❤ This guy has a point about keeping them clean though, I grew up with white horses though and keeping them clean for shows, sunburn free in the summer--it was Herculean. I've had collies and shepherds though--as long as it's a SHORT white coat, I'm good...

I rescued a dogo & he was my first dog...and its true, they're a lot. But if you can handle it, its worth it. The loyalty is unmatched! I think they're the best dog breed...IF you're up for the challenge. Protector and family dog!
Emotional wise: These dogs are beyond gentle and friendly as long as you train and treat them right. Got two of them, one tiny and one huge, and they're both sweethearts. As long as you have experience, these dogs can really brighten up your day.

Your info is incorrect. I’m a dogo enthusiast for the last 20 years. They have great temperaments and almost zero health issues. They’re considered to be the super dogs of the dog kingdom. Argentina is a relatively hot place and also very cold. Dogos handle all weathers very well. They are originally bred to hunt in large packs so they get along very well with other dogs. Please don’t do “gangster shit” with your Dogos. You will come to regret it. First off, they are very expensive . Second, they’re smart enough to know when you’re mistreating and abusing them and I don’t care who you are, you could be Iron Mike, if a Dogo gets fed up with your mistreatment, it’s going to let you know. Please do your research and stop listening to what people tell you.
First time larger sized dog owner and got a dogo. I made sure my had obedience classes and follows a strict schedule and routine as a puppy and socialized my dog and it’s the best dog I have ever been around. Extremely smart snuggly and loving. ❤
FYI. If you plan on getting other dogs PLEASE DON'T! Dogos will only get along with animals they grew up with. THEY WILL KILL A NEW DOG! I learned that the hard way.
I love my dogos and I don’t hunt, they are great protectors and haven’t had an skin issues at all.

I have a 10 year old male from Debonair Dogos. He's 130-140lbs besides a few growths that we've had removed and an itchy tail, no other skin issues. Great dog, great with kids, gentle but a beast when he needs or wants to be. He also rarely ever barks or growls but when he does it's deep and intimidating. We absolutely love him.

I have a Female 140lb. Great advise! People have no clue what they're getting into when they buy a Dogo. These dogs are at different level. You've never seen Ferocity and Power until you've seen a Dogo Angry! Like he said, Don't be sold by the Dogos looks.
My dogo is turning 3. Love her. Got her after my Rottweiler/ bullmastiff mix past away. And she’s really good With my cat, definitely wasn’t the case when we first adopted her but they chill now. Super hyper energy but extremely lovable. God damn super athletic.

I have a friend that needs to see this. They're first time dog owners. The wife seen a Dogo liked how it looked I told him that's not the dog for you. Now the dog is overly aggressive they cant walk him without begin pulled. 1 of the kids have to be separated from the dog because he would try to attack her. He just turned 3

We have a Dogo, she is 4 years old now, she is our first dog, and even if we never had a dog before we think she is just the best dog ever. Because we never had any dog before we were very responsible with training obedience and boundaries especially the first 2 years. And of corse multiple walks a day or 2 Ali’s but one has to be better exercise for her (bike or hiking or chasing a ball), but if one day is rainy or there is just no time to go out for a long walk she is the most calm and patient dog. Yes a lot of meeting safe dogs socialisation, and when she is grown respecting the dominant nature of the breed. She is great with kids, my niece trained her in extreme patience because my niece loves to cuddle a lot. So I wold say you can have a Dogo even if you never had a dog before IF you are a responsible person that will provide what this dog needs, active life, structure, boundaries, to be part of the family, have a routine that makes clear he she is a follower not the leader and A LOTOF LOVE.
One of the craziest KZhead videos I have seen, was someone taught their Dogo Argentina to be a bird dog. I got a laughter out of it. Their also a very intelligent breed. But when comes to bird hunting, or actually trained and bread for being a bird dog. Our GSP would run circles around it, he was pointing bird's at 3 months or younger. Not all bird dog's are the same either.

Dogo, Presa, Akita/Inu, EBT and Ridgebacks are my fav breeds. Had an EBT, she passed away last year (13.5 years) and LOVE my Presa! I'd like to get a Dogo female some day.
If you like those dogs, check out the Alapaha blue blooded bulldog.
They are not for the inexperienced and they need earlier consistent training and just patience is key and he left off one inheritance deafness which yes my dogo is deaf but so loving and good video homie
This is my dream dog they are meant for any means of protection to its owner must be trained every day as a pup in order to adapt to being around owner and understanding who to protect these dogs are so beautiful and strong can’t wait to train mine someday

If your robbing someones house without a gun, thats the last dog you want to run into. Unless you have a knife on you or something, your not making it out alive. Dogo will rip your throat out of your neck.
@davisjohnson7691 Have you ever owned a dogo? I have...two.... You get one; have somebody that dog doesn't know walk into your house at an odd hour. That dog might bark (as any dog would), but I promise you, it isn't going to bite. Dogos absolutely do not attack humans unless they were taught to.... You should really spend some time learning about their engineering. Submission to humans is 100% fundamental to their entire design. They hunt animals, and will fight to the death, but they are in no way at all have any protective character about them. Golden retrievers have more protective instinct than a dogo.... Dogos have a 1-track mind - to hunt - and that is why everything you hear or read about these dogs says, "you need to physically work them out daily." They are hunters, they are fighters, and they are killers; they are not protectors.
@@sorethumb78 your lying. You don’t have dogos. I on the other hand have an uncle who has dogos. I’ve seen what happens first hand when someone tries to intrude in his house. The guy got away fine, but if his 3 dogos got to him, he’d be dead. It was the funniest thing watching them chase him out on the ring doorbell. He’s lucky he was fast, and there was a fence to hop in the area. They almost got him. Your dogos are obviously just not very protective of you. Maybe because your a weak owner, idk. Dogos can smell weakness. My uncle had kangals in the past too, and he said dogos under the right circumstance are every bit as protective

This not your average dog must be trained fearless beast been crossed bred with 3 to 4 different breeds specifically for hunting when they attack there’s no hesitation strong and very dominant dogs

The Cordoba Fighting Dog itself was a hybrid breed of the Bull Dog, Bull Terrier, English Mastiff, and possibly one or two others. But the order in which the dogs were bred resulted in very different dogs, and the CFD was vicious, ferocious, and tenacious to an extreme level.
Though skin care is very important in every white dog, this dogs are actually one of the most healthiest dogs out there. It is very kind with its family but is not for starters. It needs a lot of patience when training
I have a Doggo Argentina/black lab mix. His dad is a pure bred doggo and mom is the lab. He is super lovey. Great with my kids and other animals. He even loves the cats and bunny. He's a major chewer. He is extremely protective of us. All in all he's a great dog. Never shows signs of aggression (unless he has a meaty bone of some sort). Even when he does have one he will growl but his tail will wag a hundred miles an hour. He just likes to hear himself talk

I bought a pitbull puppy 12 years ago (i still have him) from a friend of a friend...hes mostly white with some brown spots and im almost convinced these past few years his father was a doggo and his mother was a pitbull. I met both briefly and the father had to be kept away because it was so aggresive over his puppies

Another underrated dog is the American bulldog Scott’s type all white as well but I haven’t heard to many skin issues or hearing issues with them . I have a female and seems to be a perfect athletic dog all around ! This was on my list when I was looking at the time
I have a Dogo Argentino and an albino American bully with blue eyes. And yes they're a handful. I post them on my KZhead. They're energy literally drains mine. 😂 I'm not a first time pitbull owner or other dog owner. Ive had dog responsibilities since I was a young child😅.
The Scott American Bulldog, especially an all white one is as close to a Dogo Argentino you can get, they look very similar

They are nothing like pit bulls. Their bite strength is twice as strong, but they are family protectors. They will square up with a Puma to protect them. They are also the best cuddlers and think they are lap dogs. If you like personal space, this is not the dog for you. They are also great at scent work and boar hunting. 😊
There is a six year old dogo at my local shelter and this family was aggravating him and I told her lady you might not want to do that especially letting your little daughter bother him. I went to the front desk of the shelter and I told them they need to let people know exactly what type of dog this is. This isn’t a golden retriever

Right. No dog hunts lions or cougars. Those stories were all made up bs. The most dogs will hunt are boars. Even the Kangal would get its throat slashed by a lion.

they also locked the dogo in with it. Dogos are for killing already shot and severly weakened big cats, *not* fully alive and functioning big cats. The only way your stopping one of those, is if your hunting companion is an even bigger cat (good luck training one)
In a pack, Boerboels are used against lions, the Rhodesian Ridgeback and the Dogo are also suitable in the pack!

As a "Trainer" you should know never to hold a dog that way. Note how it's tail was between its legs when the "Trainer" put it back down on the ground. The "Trainer" was oblivious to that.

I have a 3 year old female rotterman that I rescued. She's trained fairly well. Been looking at a Dogo Argentino as a protector family dog. Do they do well around babies? We just had twins.
They are very clumsy when they get excited. They don't know how big they are. Mine is a service dog and stays with my wife 24/7. She never knocks her down, or does anything wrong ever. She follows her or my instructions immediately at all times, even when excited. She could accidentally knock over small children when playing with them, but they're very smart and thoughtful of everyone in the family. NOBODY would be able to bother your babies when she's around. They are so intuitive to people's emotions that it feels like having a person there more than a dog. She gives nothing but endless love. I'd trust them in any situation for anything. They do have strong prey drives though, so you have to be aware of that around other animals. Mine acts crazy around other dogs to assert dominance, but she doesn't actually hurt them. They are so stubborn when training as a puppy, that you will need a new word for stubborn. They will exhaust you and then far past that during training. You need to put a lot of time and effort in at the beginning, but it pays you back a thousand fold. You can't adopt them out if you change your mind, as they become extremely attached to you. Mine wouldn't eat bacon, a steak, or anything hardly for weeks after adoption from the breeder. The breeder said she never petted them or fed them in the same room to help with this, because it's normal for the breed. It will be a member of the family you will never consider doing without again. Amazing dog 10/10 ❤

It would be nice if he did his research better. Dogos are one of the least inbreed dog in the world. Its made from a dozon different breeds. As a result the only issues they have is possibly deaf, thats it. An it can be tested for deafness as its eather born with hearing or not. It can't be helped as the gen responsible for its white coat is also partly involved with hearing. Its one of the newest dog breed, not even 100 years old yet. Thats why they live to be 15 years old, they dont have hip, heart or any other issues.
Dogo's are real bodyguards ☠️of the family , its no👎🏾 show dog . You must give the dogo a proper workout, 💪🏾and running with them in the morning ? Forget that, they can run a 100 miles with out getting tired. Please don't let people in your hood bullie the dogo, because one day they gonna pay the price😱. Dogos in mine opinion belongs with a great loving❤ family with a farm, or a big house with lots of nature. Not for a big city living. Do your research. 😎

Wait.. do white dogs have an increased risk for skin cancer? He has fur to protect his skin. Dogs with black fur have white skin.. does this mean black dogs have increased rush for sickle cell/ heart disease? Do brown ones have increased risk of diabetes/alcoholism?
They burn because he has little melanin like albinos and has short hair. Skin cancer is possible if they’re exposed to too much sun.
