  • we had the privilege of Jay buying an estate in our community a cpl yrs ago. Since then he's done walk on's at our local improvisational comedy club, he's head lined a benefit for a local firefighter suffering from cancer , and a few other grest things in the community, great guy, class act.

    • Many, many comedians are mentally ill or neurodivergent. Andy Richter has persistent depressive disorder, meaning he is always mildly depressed and doesn't feel intense joy or euphoria. Jim Carrey has ADHD and depression. Bill Corbett of MST3K has depression. Michael Ian Black has depression. Sarah Silverman was diagnosed with clinical depression as a child and has had depression to varying degrees her whole life. John Mulaney has anxiety. Conan O'Brien has anxiety and depression. I am a neurodivergent, mentally ill, and disabled US American. It makes me proud to see my people succeeding in the field of comedy.

    • When you say "he suffers from depression," that is misleading. That doesn't mean he is sad all of the time. Depression is a mind disease that causes a person to not be able to cope with the everyday pressures and stresses of life. Medications can help with depression.

    • WIlliams suffered from an extreme case of Lewy Body Dementia. And while it was not diagnosed until after his death, it is believed to be the reason for his extreme anxiety, depression, and paranoia. The doctors who performed the autopsy said it was one of the worst cases they had ever seen. He knew he had a brain disorder. He was degrading rapidly and did not want to get to the point where he no longer knew himself. There is no treatment for it.

He always treated his guests like friends. He just let Robin run with his comedy too. He never cut him off. Please come back to us! Fallon was not a good replacement.

Mr. Williams you are loved and missed by so many and the many that will never get to experience what you brough to the world. You're everything I wish I had the courage to be, myself. Thank you and I hope you've found the peace you were searching for.
