You know in Mexico the "white" Mexicans (las fresas- my heritage is Spaniard or German or whatever) look down on indigenous Mexicans, and barely acknowledge that there are Afro-Mexicanos. The do not have clean hands. The unclean hands doctorin doesn't allow it. US Activist lawyers file them in violation of this act and the Courts have forgotten about this Act. Lawyer Activist should be disbarred for filing lawsuits knowing the legally have no standing. Because the courts have forgotten about this law, doesn't mean the lawyers haven't forgotten. In their interview, or applications, if they crossed illegally, they cannot file for anything . The Court can end any applications or lawsuit at the beginning. All those old backlogged cases and applications are really worthless and are fraudulent. They should clean them out and shut down all request. We then need to retro suspend birth rights citizenship..

At the time if you wanted to come for pleasure you had to prove that you had big amounts of money to support yourself and that you were not coming to stay, you had to prove that you were coming as just tourists. My parents could have tried doing it the "right way" but according to them applying for residency and all the bureaucracy was just too overwhelming for just the two barely literate Ecuadorian farmers that my parents were. 1st generation citizens like this don't really understand how hard it is to apply for citizenship when you don't have money and the connections to do so. Now almost 20 years later, I am happy that my parents did that... Both of them worked their assess off day and night non-stop, never creating problems and always being humble. • They could not hear that everyone has a right to ask for asylum, immediately rolled into the claim that immigrants disappear after arriving. There was a very successful pilot program done by our government wherein the clients were properly notified of appearance dates and had access to legal representation. Virtually all of them showed up repeatedly, even though most of the asylum cases were refused and they were ordered deported. And I seriously doubt an immigrant fell from a tree and scared that woman.

    • Also if we put money towards dealing with the asylum seekers (such as hiring more judges) we could get them processed sooner. That would give people less of a chance to "disappear" and be cheaper and safer. But why would conservatives do something to save taxpayers money and make the country safer when they can use it to fearmonger and get themselves more power and money.

    • Since the UN Convention on Refugees was first signed, the world's population has tripled and it isn't the developed countries that have been breeding like rabbits. It is time for all those countries who have restrained their own fertility to two children per woman, or fewer, to ditch the Convention. Every asylum claim is a massive imposition on the people who have reproduced at a responsible level.

    • @@jaybird2791 You do have the right to ask for asylum and have your day in court. Not everyone has the time, ability, or money to go to a legal port when they are fleeing for their lives. It can take months, maybe years, if you know your abusive spouse was going to kill you, or a gang was going to murder your family you'd cross illegally too. I know I would. The immigrants waiting in detention are waiting for their court to decide whether they can stay or not. If we improved the process and got the amount of judges we needed we could expedite the process and it would be a lot cheaper then housing them in dentition. But then the private companies running the detention centers wouldn't make as much profit, and the politicians wouldn't get as many "campaign donations" or get to rile up their voters about the "dangerous illegals".

  • The first time I heard about this idea, it came from my parents. They said that Democrats wanted more immigration so that the incoming immigrants would vote for them. They said "we're losing our country." I found it very confusing. I said, "so... if they're going to vote, then they're going to become citizens, right?" They said yes. I was like, "How is that any different from what has always happened? People immigrate, become citizens, and then vote for representatives and ballot measures. We're a nation of immigrants. That's just Americans voting!" They seemed to think it was different, somehow, and I never did a clear answer as to how.

If you let another hundred in each person's vote is now half .05% of the previous value. It's simple math. They have less say. Someone pointed out my math was wrong. And it was. Half of 1% is .5% and not .05% as I typed.
