    • I am probably the reason Apogee shut down their Aardwolf phone numbers when I first discovered the guide online in the mid-90s at like 5 years old. God of War on the PS2 also had a phone number you could call, if you beat the game on GOD of WAR mode and broke the statues of Ares and the Minotaur at the ending of the game, a message pops up asking you to call this number. When you do, Kratos answers and congratulates you on becoming the new God of War. It, unlike Aardwolf, is still up and you can call it even in 2022!

  • Damn, the cutscenes really are amazing, no doubts here! Love how the main villain is not an one-dimensional evil evil dickhead, who will shrug off any of their henchmen's mistakes because he's evil for the sake of it like they do in many movies. He's actually not happy with Dr. Death's misdeeds, and doesn't allow Bloody Mary to kill the child. Even if it's more for the political and business reasons, it still shows that he thinks rationally and isn't a violent psychopath that lacks enough brain capacity to figure that pissing off a retired marshal may not be the best idea. Kinda unexpected from the game of that time.

    @velocilevon@velocilevon2 жыл бұрын

In general though since most guns in the west were loaded manually and didn't eject any casings, shooting left handed was a bit more simple.

      @inkmime@inkmime2 жыл бұрын
    • @@inkmime I have a top eject 30-30 with the loading gate on the right. You won't even think twice using it left handed, it's slightly easier for me. • 20:17. The marshal missions came with the original game. It was a great addition if you wanted to play a little less linear. When they released the addon they grouped the marshal missions under the "histrorical missions" label. Edit: Also, the game is 2.5D just like Doom and Duke 3D. The geometry is a bit more complex though. To make roofs, pltaforms and room on top of rooms, they intersected sector height - To make a platform in the editor, you drew a rectangle, then made the roof height lower than the floor height. The engine then only draws the intersected sections. I hope this makes sense, don't really know how else to explain it.

Some of the voice lines in fact implied very dark happenings from the main storyline. One of which is the line, "My BONNY LIED OVER THE OCEAAAAAN" Sung in a very taunting fashion implying that the person doing the taunt heard the child from the intro singing it and the second line, "MY BONNY LIED OVER THE SEA! P.s.: taking note on the music selection playing in the background, Civvie too loved "the Ballad of Dr. Death": it is an ecleptic and amazing piece of music, and I suggest all of you folks give it a listen; it moves from baroque and Renaissance music to a slapping banjo tune, then adds a choir and ends up in a slower tempo. It is fitting of the character and the level, which shows a descent into a dark mine, with molten lava too at one point.
