My compliments, Chris, on your gentleness handling the concrete pipe. I have seen you move many Links of pipe and do not remember ever seeing you damage or crush one. I believe you could pick up a dozen fresh eggs from the ground without breaking any. You show you care about your customers and the subcontractors who follow after you have completed your work by the way you meticulously clean up before you leave the site. You are a joy to watch work.
It's refreshing to see a businessman think long term instead of by-the-quarter. Good on ya, Chris; may your competitors forever wonder how and why you stay busy, grow, and run good equipment.
watching you dig around the corner stakes reminded me of joke a survey friend told me once , " take surveying ribbon with you when you go hunting, that way if you get lost just tie some to a couple sticks and a dump truck driver will be there to run them over and save you " . lol have a good weekend.
I like that one! And it's soo true 😆
As a kid in old times we used to "replace them" a foot or so and with height markings we pounded some of them down a bit. Maybe it's of that I'm now on the other side doing excavations?!? Haha!
I love how LD18 has such a following that people are happy to see John back at it. I do this too, no KZhead, but pick up pointers here, just a great community. Congrats, man, dig on!
I have worked 33 years Parish Goverment and 2 years as a ispector I caught one burying debris where the house slab goes, and instead of hauling it off . Chris you my friend do it right way and a awesome job at that. Now they wonder why the slabs are cracking up
Enjoyed the video. Quick and efficient on this one. Liked the wood raking trick. Glad to see John moving around like normal again.
Has to be a builders dream to have a lot prepared like that for him/her to begin their building process.
Yeah I hope your uncle is top notch, I had a procedure and two surgeries last Nov. and Dec., so I feel for him, when you hit middle age you just don't jump back like you used too, so yeah glad to see him back, and you sound more upbeat for obvious reasons, I loved my uncle too. A Navy man, then worked for B.F. Goodrich till he retired, he had some great and inspiring stories, God Bless you both.
Makes for a nice Friday afternoon watching Chris, John, and the Big Volvo back together.
Glad to see uncle John back hope he’s feeling good
I can’t imagine folks who don’t work with dirt can imagine how hard it is to move dirt and how easy Letsdig makes it look.
Tell John it is nice to see his knobby knees again.
Good to see your uncle is doing good and out there hitting it everyday like the rest of us
I love the bucket on the skid steer. The way it splits open to spread is a good idea.
Good to see Uncle John back working, in his OSHA certified chainsaw Shorts 😉
What a good job on the driveway and clearing the trees and brush.
I live watching you rake with a log, works really well, good thing you didn’t get stung earlier! Hard to work and hurt at the same time brother! I never noticed how high the lot was until you were spreading the gravel! Pretty high lol compared to the road! Good video Chris, thanks for sharing my friend! 👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Looks great brother!👌🏻
Everyone wants a home, so don't get too attached to the sight of beautiful trees in the neighborhood. At least I am glad to hear more and more Chris explaining why he cannot spare individual trees.
I use to design and inspect septic fields here in Michigan for the County. With clayey soils, we usually design a mount septic system with 2NS sand with a pump and alarm system. The size of the number of bedrooms would set the size of the field. Probably a 1500 gal. two compartment and a 1000 gal pump tank. Pump would be set for the dosing the field. Red clay locks up tight when wet and is slipperier than oiled ice. I seen a lot of operators in my life and you rank in the top 5. I bet you could light a Bic lighter with the teeth on your bucket. LOL
Nice to see John back at it. Have a great weekend
Uncle John on the chainsaw. He must be doing really good. That's awesome. Great looking lot.
Glad to see Mr John.Dont let him get to hot this soon out of the Hospital!
Excellent video bro. Great to see John on the end of a chainsaw again. Safe travels
I like the log rake. I have 10ft section of 6in I-beam that I pulled off a jobsite. I cut teeth on one side. Makes quick work of the scrub brush and use the smooth side for soil. I've never made a video but it works great. Thanks for all the great content.
That good NC Red clay/mud! Awesome job Chris!
Those multiple leader trees are trouble in the long run. Better getting them out and give a single leader tree a chance to grow.
1:48.., Chris's quote of the day.., "I mean these trees are in the ground".
I bet the guys at the mill will be happy with that one log.. very happy
That does look like a nice piece of property, your work ethic and your uncle’s determination to work, when you can see he is still not feeling up to par.great video as always, how’s new garage coming.keep doing what your doing 👍👍👍👍😎😎😎😎
first week back on the job and John is already getting the chainsaw stuck.. damn newbs. ;)
I still see you know how to play pickup sticks when trees were tangled. It's good to see your are having fun.
Now that was a wood chipper on the highway. Makes my little home garden one look pathetic🤣 Great job, looks good with the trees around the boundary. Take care & cheers from 🐨🦘🥰
we can't have trees 30 feet from center on septic lines, you got a lotta trees there now, the market is down on everything with Dingus in office
Those bees were having some fun stinging the bucket ... 🤣 Looks like they need some mulching work done too.
I TOTALLY ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO CHRIS 😊
I don't like those ground bees either, but they sure like me. Good video as always.
Don't know why but I like watching you work... weird I know... thanks for sharing
Another one in the books !! Man, I beat myself half to death one time, when I ran the riding mower over the top of one of those yellow jacket nests in the ground !!! Shit the mower went one way, and I dove another way, and I believe I was at a dead run trying to get those stinging bastards off me trying to get back in the house !! Lmao ... Woooeee !!! They lit my ass up !! lolololol.... Thought that may give ya a good laugh Chris !!! lolol.. Have a Great Weekend Man !! And, On too the Next....
Just had that fun last weekend. Found a nest of whiteface hornets in the corner of one of my raised beds. Didn't know what was going on until the first one got me, then it was runnin and slappin to the house. Still got tagged 8 times. Was wishing I had a pond or pool handy. They lost the war though.....
"Hell with it.. LETS BURN" Its the weekend.. Hope Y'all a great one.
Chris, I like to pull the trees apart after I get the double and triple trees dug up and on the ground. I can grab them about 2/3 of the way up from the stump and split them apart in the stump. This allows me to get more dirt out of the stump and I can cut my log a little bit longer. I split them like that before I take the limbs off which helps hold the other 1 or 2 trees to stay on the ground while I pull them apart. I guess part of it is the challenge or just the fun of doing it. 🙌😀
Some breeds may crack though, like red oak or Ash but white oak and hickory and gum will usually bend a little. You know what I mean...
great job buddy and great video as always buddy 😎👊🏻👍🏻
Looking nice!
Hi Chris. I love your Channel, I am watching it every day,and love the way you get the job done. Isn't there anything new about the 220? Thomas E from Denmark.
Another big job for chris and john
As much clearing as you do, I'm surprised you haven't bought a large wood chipper. I like watching your channel. I enjoy watching a man who knows what he's doing.
Chipper takes too long and ya have to pay someone to run it.
Hey Chris !! YUPPER !!! EASY/PEZZY again !!! Good to see John back on the job along with the ""VOLVO "" !!! Have a good weekend !!! Guess we ALL have a ""STORM " coming next week !!! Hope ALL goes well for everyone !!! ""KEEP IT SAFE ""!!
Another good reason for removing trees close to where a house will be built is their roots getting into the foundations, sewer, drains... A friend of mine had a VERY expensive problem when a tree root found its way into his sewer pipe & it only manifested itself when he had four of us staying & using the bathroom as well as himself & wife. The root actually broke open 20' of sewer - no wonder the tree looked so healthy with all that "fertiliser"...💩
Add a dozen pennies to the tank of the toilet, trees do not like copper. Had a neighbors tree roots get I into the pipes and it over flowed into our home, they have again planted another tree in the same spot for the last 10 years there has been pennies in our tank . We have not had a repeat of the roots in to the pipes.
@@barbaraannroach6033 , indeed. A couple copper spikes in a tree will kill it deader than Elvis in due time. It’s not fast but it will do it.
@@barbaraannroach6033 It won't be the pennies keeping the rots away, as the amount of copper they might add to the water would be minuscule. Think of the surface area of copper pipe the water is in contact with (if your home has copper pipes).
@@barbaraannroach6033 sorry bs, pennies aren't made from copper any longer, , and anyway, why, when the water line are copper.
@@barbaraannroach6033 Awesome trick Barb ! Thanks a lot ! I'm going like RIGHT NOW to drop some in my 3 toilets ! 👍 👍 BTW, pennies - or any piece of copper - around your windows and doors keep ants away. They hate copper too.👍
Grabs John, gives him a good trashing and puts him in the dump truck. : ) Would be funny if this was a cartoon. lol
that's a heck of a diff between lifing logs and digging trees with the 160 vs the 220... ya need yer baby back Chris
We used to cut small White Oak trees for an old man that made baskets.
Nice clean lot for the next crew
Chris you sure make it look easy! Thanks for sharing. Kevin
Pretty safe to say no burn pit at this location. Those houses are most likely filled with Karens.
Do tell...
Karens and lawyers.
And halfbacks .
And ding backs
The tree drag is an "organic squigee". Nice job and like how that multi tree broke up for you. Uncle John looks like he lost some weight - tree bind on the chainsaw is never fun.
That log rake trick is pretty slick
Chris team is a very efficient team. The only way to keep the company in the black. The equipment doesn't paid the it self when it is sitting. 👍💯🇺🇸😎
Nice job as always !!! Chris , I wish you were close to West Virginia !!! I would love to have you work on my steep slope behind my house !!! Make it so that I could mow it !!!
That house lot turned out to be oakey doki Chris! :) Great job, had much fun watching!
Just became a new subscriber absolutely love the content great job
Haha, I went to hook up a choker on a log on a house lot I had cleared this spring a couple weeks ago, I didn't know I was standing on a bees nest till they started stinging. I went back and got the choker and log a couple days later with the excavator, and then found 2 more nests around a brush pile while I was burning
Chris sure reminds me of Roger Miller. Dang
Always enjoy watching your videos, Thanks stay safe
Great video Chris
Nice trick with the log rake! That thumb is a beast!
Good to see your uncle's back up moving around.
Looks pretty nice Chris thanks for sharing
Looking great
Nice to see you didn't destroy the AT&T cable or terminal...that happens from time to time
Good stuff to watch as usual. Your day's work is so far from what I do that it is mesmerizing.
Cool "log rake" trick. Really liked that scheme and will have to give it a try
Thanks for taking to us during your videos explaining how why and everything else you are doing very helpful also low key very Relaxing!!! 🥂
Chris effortlessly takes down a tree and then stands up a survey stake with the same machine...
good job chris big john looks good!!
You are a pro congratulations congratulations job well done
Nice job, impressed how you finessed that foundation marker stick with that big ole bucket. Kudos!
at first i was thinkin "what the hell is he doin" until he pushed it back into the ground... :)
...lookin' great ,have a good safe weekend...
You are right.Oaks don't like their feet to be disturbed. Got to stay 5 or 6 feet away from the trunk. If you are going to get up next to it, might as well take it out and replant later
Did a great job 🥰👍
Very nice 👍
Thanks for the great video, I usually don't ever comment, although I wait for and watch them every time they come out. You didn't have a video last night, I was having letsdig18 with drawls, please don't do that again !!!!!!
How is the construction going on your second garage on your farm? After you demolished and moved those three sheds, I’m waiting to see the updates.
Dig them up, Push them down, Pull them out, RAWHIDE
ROFLMAO 😅😂😅😂😂😂
I just had to chuckle when I saw you sweep the ground with that log for sticks, etc. I was thinking if I could have cleaned my boys rooms as quickly as you did with a log, still smiling. Thanks for sharing
I finally got all the Legos after 4 years. Each time they left them for me I started with a new vacuum bag and only sucked up Legos. Took that bag back out a kept it in the utility room till I needed it again.... They don't miss them at first but learn that Mom isn't picking them up she's vacuuming the up and tossing them. I'll tell them someday!
Love the tree "dozer blade" for raking
Nice work!
Enjoyed , thanks for sharing!
Nice job!!
It is good to see John is Back !
Looks great!
Chris you are right about the red stuff nice when it's dry and miserable when wet but it's the best stuff to make a pond with and I now know why you have a enclosed cab I was thinking it was just for the radio and air conditioning 😎
Getting stung is not fun
Working in that neighborhood you should be wearing a suit and tie, and charge double.
You got to have a steady hand to pick up that road pipe . I had to dodge a couple rocks when you was spreading that stone towards the camera
Good to c ya in a excavator again chris
That thumb is a beast!
that's a nice lawn.
About par for the course....run the septic field uphill from the house lol
Great video 👍👍
New Septic really sucx, here in Ohio about 30 NE of Cols Town, we had to have 150ft x 3, took up a LOT of Yard.
I am a mech type, I would like to drill a couple of holes in those pipes and put some spikes in, much like a few screws in fiber or plastic.
Nice!
TIMMMBBBBBBERRRRRR
