  • I ordered Clicks Keyboard and still haven't got my keyboard yet. When I asked about it they just ignored me and said it got delivered.

  • Can too much ANC harm your hearing like like too much loud noise?

    • Interesting question. I would assume no since it's cancelling wavelengths or at least reducing wavelengths of incoming sounds but I'm not sure

      @6cmh3@6cmh3Ай бұрын
    • @@virtuerseno that does make physical sense since it is simply producing anti-waves that destructively interfere with the ambient sound. It would be like asking if destructive interference due to two ocean waves cancelling out can destroy a boats side.

      @Sherv318@Sherv318Ай бұрын
    • No. ANC literally produces waves to cancel out the incoming waves. It's not a psychological effect of hearing two sounds at the same time, there's a physical interaction being done that changes the waves that do finally make it to your ears.

  • I would pay an ungodly amount of money for a pair of headphones that separates the vocals and instrumental from music in real time. Using a dial.

  • Why dance around the surveillance applications of that selective ML-driven noise cancellation? Yes, this will absolutely find its way into accessibility devices and consumer earbuds, but there's probably bigger licensing money in the short term for workplace surveillance, mass policing, and authoritarian regimes, like so much university tech research. Who are the outside funders for that lab? You're good journalists, but sometimes you forget to journalist. 😂
