One of the best looking K100 I've seen, whether in person or online. Glad he didn't stretch it out like so many out there. Keeping close to the way it came from the factory.
Paul the highway Hilton that is in the museum that hank good donated is the sharpest k100 working truck.
@@thomaswilson8634 hank put too much accessories for my tastes
@@mintyman1968 Thats what made it unique. That truck is known from coast to coast. The days of real truckers and hard trucking. Not many left. But with that said I DO NOT MISS them rough riding cabovers not one bit. Lol lol.
I agree hands down.
Couldn’t said it better myself.
I got to see America through the windshield as a kid in one of these. My uncle traded in his IH for a K100 and that was the first year I was allowed to ride with him on summer vacation, my first cross country was at 9 years old and I cherish those memories. Out of all the parties, cars, girls, music, those are the times I wish I could relive. I have stacks of cracked Polaroids and 110 pics from NY to CA. and I treasure them, they let me remember a care free time and my uncle that I loved dearly. RIP Lemonhead, just like me, my uncle Pat had blonde hair, so that was his handle. The fuel was cheap, the food was great, the people were civil, the BS was minimal, nobody washing their feet in the sink at the truck stop and I wish I had a time machine, lol.
Simply gorgeous. That particular stripe pattern was called “Cherokee” in KW brochures.
This one Beautiful K100 aerodyne tractor. This has all the bells & whistles. This is the true American Dream. I fell in love with a 1981 K100E right out of middle School when the TV show B.J. and the Bear ended.
I love those trucks , fast Eddie has definitely taken some pride in keeping such a beautiful piece of equipment alive and looking beautiful!...
Probably the nicest k100 that isn't a show truck like lots of them have become. Nice to see one restored to factory.
Unbelievable beautiful truck looks brand new whoever restored this truck was on point!!!!!!! ..... simply jawdropping!!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s so nice, but I don’t think the interior matches good!
Thanks Andy I have driving for 49 years. You just brought back memories of the K100 I drove in the 80's with a turned up 400 cummins with a 15 over.
Total credit to Fast Eddie, love your proper working truck. Perfect non stretched out wheelbase. Thanks from a fellow K100 owner in Oz.
Short wheelbase, Got to climb a ladder to get in. Everything inside needs to be tied down to tilt the cab to work on the engine. Getting dressed laying down, No hood out in front to give some protection in collisions. Keeping warm in freezing conditions is a chore in these. I drove several cabovers in the mid 80s when I first started trucking., But my altime biggest problem was always lack of leg room for my 6ft 2in body. Good looking truck but Having a hood was so much better. Ask anybody who remembers driving cabovers in Nebraska,Illinois, or PA on Interstate 80. before they did the big repaves in the late 80s These things would beat you to death on the frost heaves of the old days. Short wheelbase for city is wonderful but on the open road with crappy roads your body paid a big cost.
@@HuskyGamersUNITE my Uncle did. Still have pictures. Also an old Ford cab over with the little coffin sleeper
That is a 1/2 million dollar truck! Happy Thanksgiving from the U.S. What a nice treat for the holiday. Thank You Eddie for sharing!
My uncle had one of these back in the day… by sure were a beautiful piece of work… loved to help clean and polish the chrome son that beauty… same blue color… man the memories of all the kids getting together and just thinking we were all that for helping my uncle out…
That was one good looking Kenworth truck. Thanks Andy for showing us around this beauty.
I started driving in 1987 and these are what I started driving. That truck is absolutely beautiful. Even though most of the cabover trucks road rough, they were massive good looking trucks. I wish they would make a comeback.
Wow! This is by far the best-preserved K100 Aerdoyne I've ever seen. Simply flawless.
Watching from Ndola Zambia 🇿🇲🇿🇲....
Man , that's a great looking K 100 Awesome of the owner to share it with everyone.
Drove one of these in Australia back in the early 80’s, had a 92T on torsion bar suspension with 18 speed RR. After driver R model Mack’s with this company prior to getting this for about 4 months I thought I was in heaven. Fantastic rig.
Hi, here is Andy, from germany. This is a very nice Truck! 👍👍
That truck is absolutely gorgeous! I learned to drive in an '87...seeing this took me back
Grew up loving the KW Aerodynes, both COE and Conventional. Gorgeous and brings back many memories.
I drove a 1980 K 100 that truck rode like a large car Hoodia it has 8 bag suspension, 400 big cam Cummings with 13 sp 1250 tourge. It was one of the best trucks ever.
My dad learned to drive in 94 in a 94 K100E
I used to drive an 88 K100E with a 3406b caterpillar that was turned up to about 500hp, loved that truck.
This bring back some great memories. I was blessed to have a job driving the exact same type of truck. With all bells and whistles like this truck. It was a great joy. That is a beautiful truck!!
My dad had a buddy of his that was a diesel mechanic babysit me after school in 2nd grade. Super nice guy, he'd leave his shop (just down the road) to pick me up and take me back to the shop until my dad picked me up. As soon as you said "that smell" wow, I know exactly the smell you're talking about. Great memories. PS: the cabovers with the two stripes on the side that wrapped in the front look much better than a single stripe.
I miss that smell too😢❤
Thank you for sharing this iconic ride!!! Takes me back to watching BJ and The Bear in the late 70’s when this truck first came out
Best looking cabovers ever built! IMO best looking trucks ever built!
Two of my Favorite Trucks are the '76 KW K100 Bicentennial Edition Aerodyne and the '85 KW K100 Liberty Edition that my Dad bought. Still used these days on Dedicated turns from KC, MO to Dallas,TX each week.
Absolutely gorgeous!
I drove an 87 k100e for years. It actually was a smoother ride than youed expect, probably one of my favorite trucks in the years Ive been behind the wheel.
Insanely beautiful truck. Awesome paint color, love the old school styling from the gauges and the whole interior. Always loved these since I was a kid, hopefully one day I will get to drive one. Fast Eddie has a real gem right there.
The paint is awesome!!! Very nice vehicle and congratulations to the owner for keeping and refurbishing this truck. Bravo!!!
I started out in 1988 for Andrews Trucking, Siler City, NC. hauling fresh chicken to upstate NY. In a K100 Coe, 425 cat, 18 speed, 3.73 rears loved that ol girl.
Oh my Andy......you brought me back to my childhood. What an amazing looking truck. Fast Eddie is one lucky man.
He sure is Don. You are too! Studio Sleeper is hard to beat!
BEAUTIFUL
LOVE THIS TRUCK .... MY DAD DROVE ONE OF THESE ... BACK IN THE 80'S ... HE WAS A 💿 STEEL HAULER ... AND THE 🔊 SOUND OF THE EXAUST WAS AWESOME .... 👍👍👍 .
Thank you for the tour and most importantly have a nice , bless happy thanksgiving 🦃🍁🍽 👍
Love the old school trucks. Something you don't see a lot these days.
Currently driving a K104 in Australia, thanks for the video.
Absolutely Beautiful.....and Priceless. Thanks for sharing. Great video 👍
Hello from Florida i’m so glad I discovered your channel great video. That is a beautiful 1988 K100 Kenworth
Awesome kenworth
What a beautiful K100. I don't actually drive trucks, but I do love them and I do drive them in ATS (American Truck Simulator). I have a deep appreciation for these trucks and their drivers. Thank you for bringing this amazing truck to us. I love your videos.
Here another chair driver :- 1
What a beautiful truck!!! I sure miss the old trucks. The first truck I drove was a 1973 k 100
My first job I drove a 79 k100 .I loved that ol beast
As a European, I've never seen any K100 real life, but as far as I can tell it has always been my favourite truck since I was lil' kid.
It’s a good choice
I love this truck. It’s my favourite rig of all times. I built a plastic model of this rig with a trailer and painted in company colours of North American Van lines where my step dad was the area manager in Grand Prairie, Alberta and I went with him every summer in that rig back in 1984/85. I give him the model for Xmas. Tysvm on reminding me about that memory. It was fun
would you be open to taking a look at a great opportunity?
@@wilkinsondebra what is it.
The best part is that it looks new
This takes me back to my 89 K100E. 90” cab 444 Cummins 18 speed.. owned it til I retired. Wish I still had it!!😳
I grew up with these girls ,at KW dealers ! Real trucks in real times !!! Thank you 😅
That is a beautiful trek it brought back so many memories keep up good work
That baby is BEAUTIFUL!! WOW! 😍
I think so too!
My dad had a Kenworth like that when I was 8 years old trucks have come along ways
Goodday Andy, Absolutely stunning K 100E always a classic look plenty of them here working hard in Australia. Love the double stacks & intake pipes but here in Australia there would be the intake filter canisters 2 of them on the back cradle between the stacks. With a 15 double overdrive & 3.55 : 1 arse end & 425 Hp Caterpillar that is a 100 mph banger. Cheers Louis Kats from Melbourne, Australia ☺ 👍 ❤
I use to have a run from hartland new brunswick to dartmouth back to saint john new brunswick to hartland 3 days of the week in my kenworth cabover. I loved that truck!
Absolutely dig it! Ahhh the flashbacks 😎 Thanks Andy 🍺
Glad you enjoyed it
They should bring this one back into production it would sell big time.
Australia has the K200 but I think the K100 is the Sharpest looking
They just might have to since Walmart convinced Canada to go to 60 foot trailers the states probably aren’t far behind. Just make them ride as good as their Euro counterparts
@@Retired88M oh wow really? Didn't know that. Florida had some 60 footers back in the day
Beautiful, it makes me miss my old K100
WOW. I worked with a fellow back in the late 70's. He had a 1974 K100 with a 350 cummings in it. We moved furniture for North American Van lines. Jerry had a great paint job on it (Blue and white) with the OX Blood interior. The truck was originally red and silver with the standard 2 28" bunks.
Happy Bedbugging days
From a time when trucks had class. Beautiful restoration
Thanks for watching
Had one back in 88 had the 18 speed with Cummins 444 . Loved it. Does this bring back great memories. When trucking was fun. Thanks for sharing .
Thanks for your years of service
NICE K-100 CABOVER !!!! Would personally like Blue & Grey Vit interior & about 268 wb
An absolute stunner on this one, for sure. Fast Eddie definitely knows how to treat his truck, that's for sure!
Better than anything new sitting on your lot. That's a fact
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ TOTALLY, TOTALLY AWESOME VIDEO LOVE THE K100 CAB OVER!!!
Nice looking cabover. You need some of our Australian Cabovers in Canada
Genial tus videos! Hermoso camión, no me canso de verlo. Saludos desde Argentina 🇦🇷
I only owned 1 truck in my life. 88 K100. I'm retired now, diabetes, and I never should have sold my truck. Fast Eddie's ride is beautiful.
Great looking old rig. I was driving a 2004 K104B with 2.2 million km's on it up until last September when my boss threw me the keys to a brand new K200 big cab. With the work I do, it has a quarter of a million km's on it now.
That truck is absolutely beautiful😍
Beautiful 😍
beautiful! I am a big fan of 15 speeds. don't see them often enough
That's one good looking truck That's real talk I always like Kenworth paint jobs on them. Cabovers job well done 👍
Very special Areo dyne cab i think ? Takes me back , i turned down a job driving one of these coast to coast US side back in the day , i still regret it now , best wishes from England ( UK) 🍻🏁
That is one freaking awesome beautiful truck. WOW.
Beautiful truck, the Aerodyne is my all time favorite truck, happy Thanksgiving from Wisconsin
Absolutely a beautiful truck but I don't miss them rough riding carolers one damn bit. Just saying.
Woow ,i was born when this truck rolled out of factory!!! Looking great!!!
The K100E Aerodyne sleeper is The TRUCK!!!!!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
Nice truck that guy had it for so many years we did everything beautiful thank brand new
So jice
Trucks were nicer looking before, this is art with a soul.....I wish you had started it, just to enjoy the symphony
Absolutely beautiful 👍👍👍👍
Those tires on the tandem almost like steer tires
All season. Better fuel mileage. Not so great in the snow though!
Love 70s/80s American Trucks especially cabovers, this is absolutely gorgeous, what a sight to be seen, never see them over here in England. I can't imagine what this is worth?
Great truck! It's a miracle that it doesn't have the BJ and the Bear paint job, thank God. And it wasn't ridiculously stretched! Nice.
My favorite truck of all time.#1
What a beauty. I like the look of the gull wing bumper on a cabover versus a Texas bumper. The angles on either end of the bumper add to the appearance, while the Texas bumper looks like a large slab of metal whose size is emphasized more because of a cabover's flat face.
Didn’t know this was in a retail space in my city… gotta check it out
One thing to note as well was kenworth also cut out an opening behind the drivers seat to the floor so you could stand up and put your pants on. Thanks for the memories. Keep up the good work. Merry Christmas.
Thanks for watching Jim
Excelente chato o chata (KW) , saludos 👋 desde Ensenada Baja California Méx.
Love it. That's what I drove when I turned 18 love it it was a astro
Beautiful Ride!!
When you told us all we had to wait to see the inside you know we were all cussing🤣🤣🤣 that's a beautiful ride man💪🏽💪🏽💙👍🏼👍🏼
Old Cabovers, will have them anyday, this K100 is so special.!! In our country KW very rare. I had Navistar 9700 with Cummins N14 475 👏👏
This kenworth k100 is called an aerodyne cabover the first aerodyne coe was introduced in 1976
That’s an absolutely beautiful truck!
Always loved the look of these. Remember that pre drive check when you realised you didn't strap your microwave back down?
Oh Man, takes me back to when I started my trucking career and Werner was running these (not nearly as nice) but, that Werner paint scheme and coupled with their blue trailers, made them some of the nicest looking company rigs out there. In fact, it was this truck, along with the Pete's, that almost made me wanna work for old Clarence. Just a personal observation, remember when all trucks had those fans hanging down from the overhead? Those were great, whose idea was it to do away with them? Not a driver I can assure you. Mr. Fast Eddie has done an amazing job with this.
