    • What is the must have mods/parts for it to be a PRO TOURING? Does changing to Euro or Asia platform won't make it a PRO TOURING?

    • @@princesssolace4337 better suspension which means no more leaf springs, adjustable shocks, lowered ride height, bigger brakes and wheels, and wider tires if possible. Of course, you do all these mods to match the engine power for better handling. The "pro touring" term is more suitable for American cars from the 60s and 70s...big power without the handling of euro and Asian cars.

    • I agree completely 👍 This is set-up is exactly what I'd desire in classic Pro-Touring ride. There's just a couple of issues that set off my OCD 😳 The first being the hood fitment where the hood meets the fenders; seems to be a bulge in the middle. Second is the passenger side molding where the fender meets the door. (Please forgive my OCD, this car is gorgeous 👍)

    • @@9aqua_man282 Imagine the widest rear tires on a pro street car. A tub is removing the original rear wheel housing and further into the structure, replacing it with a larger housing for wider wheels/tires. A mini tub is a compromise.

  • I just bought a 66 nova and im waiting for it to be delivered from out of state. I cant wait to take my son for a ride in it. I bought it for both of us. I love seeing this young man really smile when you open it up. We must do what we can to keep these cars alive for the next generation. Beautiful car and I love the Color.

  • The Torino gave me shivers from its cool factor--such an on point muscle car. And then the Nova...ripples of satisfaction charged through me; it was like the accelerator and that kid in the back's face were connected bringing a huge grin every time he tromped on it. Influencing the younger generation with an appreciation for our bygone era stuff is just ultra cool.

  • This car is so perfect in so many ways!!! The green is gorgeous, the stock interior is perfect (how these cars should always be kept), just the optimal unbreakable engine, and as you said sweetspot power, gorgeous stance, the wheels somehow a perfect match (although I always prefer period wheels)... The best part is his kid on-board, you ought to do more of that, I believe it's a first, my kid is 17 soon and I wish we shared this passion more (finds bikes dangerous ever since my accident)... Kid was a riot in the back seat 🤘❤️

    • I got my classic car. Its a 1996 Ford F150 with a 5.0L (302) Windsor V8 in it with 209,000 and still going strong.

    • @@CJColvin I would suggest the following - GT40 heads from an explorer - upgrade the valve springs, grab the intake from the explorer as well, a cam swap (B303 or similar) and a free flowing exhaust - you'll be happier - : )

  • Back in 1992, I built an AMT 1/25 scale of pro-touring second gen Nova like this before there was even pro-touring. Since there were no 1/25 scale pro-touring wheels back then, I used the wheels and engine from a 1990 Corvette ZR-1. @#$% I was ahead of my time. Sweet car by the way.

  • Absolutely beautiful. Not that anyone asked but if he swapped those stock manifolds out for longtube headers he would probably pickup 40 plus rear wheel. Longtubes and tune are good for 30 rear wheel on a stock ls3 let alone what he is losing on that cam. But then again he seems perfectly happy with how the car is now
