  • I purchased both the medium kzhead.infoUgkxfh2XUOHWYHKQYOvSq2gZ6PyCmVkTFGWz and small speed bags from Meister. I'm very glad I got both as the workout is quite different from the two. The small is fantastic for getting your speed built up once familiar with your striking. The medium bag provides a considerable amount more resistance building more strength in your punches. I highly recommend both sizes.Some people have expressed concern over the latex bladder leaking down more frequently than the traditional rubber. I have not found this to be an issue at all.

    • Edit: I built mine about a couple of weeks after I posted that first comment and love it. I still use it about 3 or 4x a week. I was an amateur boxer years ago so I already knew the basics, but for tricks and better flow I've learned tons from Jeff Thrasher. Check out his channel if you haven't already seen it. Hes a fantastic instructor.

  • It was very entertaining watching your progress. I love the speed bag. I found from watching a Pacquiao video that if I hit the speed bag over my head I can achieve a faster rythym, I can feel a strong breeze coming from the speed bag, then I just raise my head up right and continue the fast rythym. It worked for me but not sure if other people would get same results.

  • Amazing my friend . Some People don't understand the benefit of hitting, its a great shoulder exercise, improves hand eye coordination as well as timing . Add some foot work to your sessions and move around with the bag in hits . Also add more trap techniques and use the bag to practice, slipping ducking dodging and countering . Great job buddy 👏

  • You improved about 99.9%. You know you did., quit being so modest. Great job Man. Are you fighting in the ring now? If so would like to see a video of your best fight. I’m 72yo & can’t compete now but use to do a little club fighting. We made $200 for a win & $50 to the looser. Didn’t make much money but got to be friends with a lot of real men. Only got knocked out 1time, but it was by a heavy weight & I was a middle weight. I was winning the fight till he landed 1 punch. He was 1 of George Formans sparing partners. Can’t except your challenge cause I’m about as good as I’ll ever get. Good job buddy

  • Great video. I’m day 2. It’d be cool if I was as quick as you at the end of 31. Quick question for anyone. I have a medium sized cheap ass ever last bag with a plastic swivel ball. The bag seems lopsided and it can be a challenge to hit. Like I said, today is day two and I can’t tell if the issue is more the bag vs the hitter, but when I strike it more firm, it works well enough. Are most bags somewhat lopsided? As small as the bag seems, it seems to play enough of a role that has me looking at a new bag. I bough the set up used and am loving it.

    @charlesdeshler202@charlesdeshler2022 жыл бұрын
  • Looking great young man. Keep your thumbs tucked in nice and tight or your going to end up breaking your thumbs in a street fight. That can be a painful bad habit. Try using some hand wraps or RDX gloves with the pads over the knuckles. You can pick them up on Amazon for 15 bucks . But can help you keep your thumbs in tight. And make sure you are at a good distance where you get good extension in your punches . If you're to close you will develop a bad habit of bending your wrist and that could be bad in a real fight. You want to be hitting the bag with your fist and not the side of it unless you are practicing block then punch rhythm. Hope this helps. I just started doing this again three months ago. But I boxed when I was 12 till about 18 and every day back then. Till just recently it had been 22 years so a little rusty but just like riding a bike. The next day no problem. Definitely not as fast as I was in my teenage years. But not bad for my early 40s . But I have a teenage daughter so I thought it would be a great idea to develop some speed just incase if you no what I mean. Anyway good luck to you. Bag work is a lot of fun and a good tool to develop hand speed. And remember your power shots come from your legs and hip movements that is what the heavy bag is for. Speed bag is for hand speed now that you got your timing down don't forget to breathe thru your nose and move your feet while your punching

  • Number 1: FANTASTIC job!!! Number 2: Wrap your hands (just in case). Number 3: Do a 30 day challenge of “trapping” the speed bag. Seriously, search it on KZhead. There is one guy from Texas who does an absolute beautiful demonstration. It is hard, but a really good workout. Keep up the hard work!! Oh yeah, you’ll never lose the timing. It’s like riding a bike. Once you learn how, you never lose it. Well, unless you suffer massive brain trauma. So don’t let that happen.
