    • Great Video. That board sounds great too like you mentioned. Not sure if I'm hearing it correctly but it sounds to me like there might some weight on top of the board as I believe I heard a bit of subtle rattling, but perhaps a bit more could go up there to give you an even nicer 'thud' in the bounce? I learned a lot from the video and appreciate you sharing it. Just my ears perked up as I heard some possible room for dampening the forces from the speed bag, unless I was mistaken... plus I just watched a video where a gym had sandbags on top of the boards and it gave them a nice thud. Great setup either way I just wanted to ask if you could toss some soft weights up there and it wouldn't strain the mount, or if you've already done that and I heard wrong / just couldn't see it because of how the shot was framed. Cheers

  • Excellent! Just what I needed, I'm getting back into bagging and just needed a little guidance on what sizes to get. I'll be getting the 5x8 and the 6x9. Thanks for posting.

  • Loved the video and I took some notes..and I am thinking of buying a 5x8 ? but I still need some suggestion since I am a beginner and I am taking this journey alone : I am a girl, 5'7 inch, weight 55 kg and I'm buying the everlast speed bag platform. Which model of bag you suggest? Also at which height should I mount the platform to use it correctly? Sorry for the long comment (and prolly stupid questions too )

  • Good content. Helpful. I'm rocking the 7x10 Cleyto and 6x9 Roni. Love them both. Got a 5x8 Roni a little bit ago and it is fun as hell to hit. Can bang it out pretty good with doubles, taps, bumps, rolls, etc but I'm not proficient enough with elbows or from the side to make it sing on more intricate patterns yet. I will say that after hitting the 5x8 for a couple of days, I feel like a jedi when I go back to the larger bags.

    • The Roni 5x8 is small, and light-weight. I'll have a size comparison on the full line of Roni bags soon.

  • Great video and very informative, thanks!! Backs up what I got and for why, 6x9. Can I ask what type of swivel are using? I'm currently using a Title Pro deluxe, but I've seen many of guys using that ball based one and was wondering what it is and is it better for tricks? Cheers

    • All of these swivels are using an Arc Swivel. They are made by an enthusiast. I'm not sure if he's currently making more, but you can try contacting @ArcSwivel on Instagram. These ball hook type swivels are a MUST if you are punching from the sides.

      @brianleonard890@brianleonard8903 жыл бұрын
    • That's the best way to do it. I like mine such that you can still press it in a little bit with your thumbs. I never use an air gauge

  • Hi can you tell me do you have to have a good quality swivel to get it move fast? mine is quite a cheap one I think and it just doesn't seem to move like that! Obviously I know its also down to my lack off skill 😂

  • If you have an adjustable platform you can go big to start, but even w/a huge bag, it'll bob all over the place until you gain control. Better to start small and let a little air out initially if you have to. You'll pick up skills fast, and then a big speed bag is really slllooowww!For me personally, I like a thin 5x8.

  • Would a 7×10 title be a good first bag, first time? My wife is small and doesn't have much arm strength, but also isn't very fast or coordinated. Thanks, love the channel!

    @charlieskinner6386@charlieskinner63862 жыл бұрын
    • a 7x10 bag is going to be big and HEAVY - it's going to take much more force to get it moving and keep it moving. I would recommend a 9x6 bag for most people.

  • the large heavy bags are the best, look at how the old pros would use them (especially rocky marciano, jack dempsey, joe frazier). they were not called speed bags they were called punch bags and were for training head movement and power punches, especially hooks. check out Punch Professor (RIP) here on youtube to see some real old school bag work with the big punch bags.

  • I have the Title 8 x 11. Also a 20-year-old Everlast TaS. I’m still a rank beginner. I’d love to be able to do those fast fist rolls and not have the bag fly wildly out of control

    @RonDevito@RonDevito2 ай бұрын
    • The secret is to overlap the fists to ensure you are hitting the exact same spot on the bag with both fists.

    • @@speedbaglabs5671- thank you for both replies. I'm going to save that entire playlist. Today, I pulled down the Title 8x11 and put my old Everlast TaS back up. Even just doing my usual punch, switch hands, punch, switch hands on 3 rebounds - is 3x faster with this bag than the 8x11. The big bag served me to learn the basics. The old TaS is similar to Title's Lightning, and the swivel I have is already a short U-bolt, so I don't need to change that now. I had some limited success with the fist overlap today... I'll try again tomorrow.
