I almost got myself blinded in one eye because I was swinging on a porch swing (that was legit designed for actual swinging) that had a wooden plank in front of it when one of the chains broke and it collapsed, sending me flying forward and, you guessed it, onto the plank. Thankfully, I only needed stitches on my eyebrow.

I have actually done the window cliché of breaking a window with a twist. I used my head to smash the window. I was using the window ledge to boost my jumping and I slipped, and obliterated the window. I am still suprised I didn't die cause it was one of those ancient, fragile glass things.

So my brother and I would leave the back door open and spend literal hours just sitting on a skateboard, rolling from the top of the hill and down into the family room. HOURS. Everyone else’s backyards growing up: A nice decently sized bit on land surrounded by a fence where one could play with the neighborhood kids! My backyard growing up: 2 fields of land that I had to help take care of with hornets and spiky brush along with a creek that slowly was beginning to consume the “yard” on the border with the nearest kids being miles away.
