MANOR LORDS | EP13 - BIG TROUBLE AT HOME (Early Access Let's Play - Medieval City Builder)
Manor Lords has been my most anticipated city builder since I first stumbled across it in 2020 - the medieval city builder with RTS combat elements, and an economic system that integrates the two closely... what more could I ask for? This series will showcase Manor Lords gameplay while highlighting how to play Manor Lords, providing explanations for various mechanics and gameplay systems. If you like city builders, if you like medieval settings, and if you like tactical battles, I think you might like this series.

Party: “Getting these market stalls more efficient is the most important thing.” Bandits Attack Party: “Maybe Not!”
If those horse drawn carts next to the corpse pile don't shout, "Bring out yer dead!" by full release, then this game is dead to me.
I loved the end of this episode where the Lord walked through the expansion town. That really helps bring it to life.
Corpses for the Compost Pile, Manure for the Farm Fields! Good to see the game throws more at you than just a single bandit squad from time to time
Just a quick line to say thanks for this series PE. Loving the game and much more so thanks to these episodes, I got into the habit of watching 2 episodes then playing my own game based on waht I learnt. My first attempt without your series was an unmitigated disaster, now I'm doing well. Looking forward very much to all the content for this one and seeing the game progress as well.
Hey Party, another great episode. One thing you can do about getting more soldiers is to build another Manor at Eisendorf. From what I've seen each Region can have a Manor, and each Manor can have a Retinue, that way you don't have to worry about using your Civilians..... or competing with the rival Baron for Mercenaries.
The Eisendorf Manor should more South
Food gets delivered automatically to houses from the market stalls the closest houses to the market stalls get supplied first. The granary and storage house should be close to the markets supplying the foods firewood and clothing materials. Also only one oxen can work one field so having many smaller fields allow a farm with 1 ox and 4 villagers to farm faster than a farm with one ox and 8 famelies rather than using an extra farm house with 1 oxe and 4 famelies. You have supply bottlenecks atm. For example have one storage house close to your industries only storing building and crafting materials while the othere storage supplies the market only.
also choose when to do things rather than spreading out all your workers doing every task but slower. like winter is good for building and crafting summer good for food production etc
and final note is that mor market stalls dont necisarly means more supply to the burghers plots
Do demolish the empty mine in Adelsball, but also pick up the clay at Eisendorf. Equip the retinue, and spend some wealth.
Soon as this early access was released I was crazy so see how the game was and this series is an incredible first contact with this incredible game. Keep them videos coming, Party!!!
I love this series a whole lot. Spent the past 2 days Bing watching. Can’t wait for episode 14
you can actually turn off the coblers and the warbows. When you open the specific house menu in the grey part where it states the level of the house there is a pause button, if you click it they go back to normal workers.
So the granary is bugged in regards to the tavern currently. They will keep stealing the ale from the tavern to stock in the granary. You have to disable accepting ale to solve it
To make linen, you will need to grow or import flax, and linen is made from flax, I believe.
Damn the raiders going through the woods felt like something out of Jaws or something
You gave those raiders a good hiding!
You should build a Manor and a Tower in Eisendorf on the Kings Road where it meet Waldbrand. So you can protect even Adelsball from the south
Nice job on the surprise attack.
Probably a good idea to import twenty or thirty spears/shields
9:00 Oof, I guess that's what happens when you don't take out the bandit camp for a while. Over 5OO shoes? That is insane, too many cobblers. Honestly, you could just stop making them for a while. You can pause the building, I think. A more radical choice would be to demolish one of them.
Textiles: Leather, yarn, and linen.
everything exist to support combat!
PE becoming a shoe magnate in the 14th century. Shoe Merchant: Get the brand new Adelsball Series IV Forest Boots right here folks! Straight from the cobbler to you! Great for those long treks foraging for berries, mushrooms, and nuts! Only the finest exotic leather! Transitionally sourced so it's rarer than most! Peasant: I'll take two pair! *examines it closely, walking away happy, then thinks to himself" Hey... what kind of leather is this? And why does the left boot have scars and a brigand's brand burnt into it? *shrugs shoulders and continues on his journey*
You know what would be cool, if you read excerpts from the Lords journal about his time building up the city and surrounding areas
Hey Party! Glad to finally be caught up. So far Adelsball and Eisendorf are shaping up nicely! Adelsball is giving more of the traditional village vibes with the markets and farms being the main sources of industry. But Eisendorf is giving industrial hub, the town of Fire and Iron if you will. In my head I feel like its going to shake out that Eisendorf is going to end up being this massive industrial township and Adelsball being like a quaint suburb haha. Anyway. Loving this game! 🍻
May have missed this, but will you be able to continue this save after the Early Access release?
I read something that put doubts on that.
You could make roads into your influenced lands so the movements of troop might be faster. Anyway ,great job and funny comments.
you have mentioned the extra storage at the newest buildings for the last 2 episodes ... so how people can miss that is unbelievable ..
I really enjoyed the battle, I can't wait for the more evenly matched battles vs. the Baron
You can relocate market stall to other market area, just click on stall and click relocate button on right hand corner.
Yarn would be a textile
I'd demolish the empty mine and convert to more fields, maybe even a 2nd farm house?
Should have got a shot from the iron town of the fire in the distance
Not sure if its possible to use your Adelsball's Retinues to clear bandits but use small force from Eisendorf to collect empty camps to generate money where needed.
That was EPIC, good fight, good fire, so much drama lol. With all the dosh you're gonna get from the shoe exports you could use it to import that illusive leather.... praps, milord?
You should mine the pit until it is empty.
Would it make sense to delete one of the cobblers and make another different use for the leather-like armor or something? Or why not import linen for clothes?
24:22 When you are at work and just phoning it in that day...
Hehe Weegional Wealth at 23:25
Morbid or industry turning the bandits bodies into lye, soap or candles. Nothing goes to waste in Adelsball.
Hey, great series, love it. I'm on episode 4 so far just came here to ask a question, my rich clay deposit is about 3/4 away from my town, how do I go about efficiently gathering it? Just the mine and storage there and than process it into tiles at the town, or set up the whole resource chain there and haul the finished product to town ?, in any of the cases, if Id put a storage near the mines and a hitching post with a horse would they move the resource that way or still walking ?
It seems like you can manually move the market stall, is that the case? I saw the symbol for moving on the stalls.
Make gambasent for your Militia icrese there armour as well
I quite like having the gravestones in the church, do they appear otherwise?
If I sell all of my Shoes, don't let your wife hear you say that :)
So when when unlock things from the tree is it locked for one region? You have to unlock the same thing for other regions?
Can you explain the crop system in detail I have been following all the videos but still don't fully understand it. You explained in the previous one, but it is still not clear what "Follow" means.
Fallow means to leave it to grass that season.
What happened do the 'dead man's pit' created in the top of the map?
maybe demolish 1 cobbler?? or pause production?
Have you considered which region you might want a third village yet?
leather and linen are considered textiles NOT fabrics ... Yarn is a textile ... when they are in bulk form as required for the new settlers they get bolts of textiles NOT fabric ... and make those into cloths ...
Every "transitional resource" should leave behind some armor and weapons for you to gain after you "transition" them. Right? LOL
I keep having logistics issues making it very difficult for me to get this far Into the game. Like I have a grainery workers and a hunters but stuff isnt stocking up. Idk if my stuff is to spread out. Idk what im doing wrong😢
tax the regional wealth so you can really improve the retinue without relying on brigand camps
Love what this game looks like so far - just hope that the developer continues on this path and doesn't start implementing things to try keep everyone happy - that's what will turn a great game into a fruit salad.
I don't think your iron ore pit is connected to the road network.
Claim another area with all your unused power
Remember - he reads all the comments, which means that when you're writing a comment, you're writing Partyeliterature.
Hey, PE why don't you tax your citizens in your starting town at all?
Raise your Rating by giving the tenth to church.
Pls take a look into BrotherMunro's Beginner Guide for Manor Lords. Not for the whole thing, but it's really interesting how he dealt with his sheep pastures
Hei! At "22 seconds ago", I was for the first time the first to give a thumbs-up! Nice to see you playing PE!
The closest we've come to Medieval Total War 3
Just FYI, you can make that town self sufficient with dyes, food, firewood etc and I think you should aim for that, only to export the iron slabs for the artisans in your big town. Skip importing the tier 1/2 stuff you CAN make at the 2nd town on your own and only import the stuff you can't. Then just trade ale for iron for instance. Just saying you're making things too complicated for yourself.
ראשון!
It kinda bothers me how everyone at a market stall is just waving their arms and constantly calling for people to come buy. You get tired of that, both doing it and hearing it. They should be checking their wares, stacking boxes or something. Nitpicking, I know.
Nice stream - but I would prefer less talking and a slower pace otherwise it sounds like an auction at a race track . - chill is better than a non stop speaking frenzy
If you find that they're speaking too fast you could always decrease the playback speed, I do that with some KZheadrs. Better that than having them overthink every minute detail down to how their voice sounds in every future video
And here I am watching these at 1,5x speed
