1. The BMF was and should always be intended for journeyman brawlers. 2. It needs to be kept separate from other title matches. Just because you’re a champion doesn’t mean you’re a BMF (Tuporia a prime example)

Winner of Conor v chandler should fight max for BMF
Conor is no bmf, he apologised during a fight, has a 1-3 lw record and didn't win against a top 5 since Obama. and Chandler only has 5 Ufc fights with a 2-3 record and fights dirty. None of them deserve the bmf "title", even when its an unnecessary title.

I think it's the equivalent to who's the actual gladiator in the UFC. It's definitely just as good as the gold belt. But definitely the BMF belt is the belt that makes you the BMF on the planet. Key word Planet !

I've said this for years. Only one fight we need to see JBJs vs Daniel Cormia at heavy weight
I've grown to liking the BMF belt. But I think it should be a trophy belt instead of a belt to be defended, kind of like the old Superfight and tournament belts. Like if Gaethje won, it shouldn't be "he defended the bmf" but he won a bmf title twice. A performance based based title, where fans and fighters agree that it makes sense to be up for grabs. Only putting it up like once every 3 years so it's special, and the winner gets some extra bonus like ppv points because it's prob what sold he majority of the ppv anyway. I get not liking it, but the fact a current champ wants it enough to refuse to fight unless it's up for grabs show's it's value (and should also disqualify him from getting it) The main and only reason I really like the title, is it will enhance the performance of the fight when someone is fighting for that title. Risks will be taken, finishes will be chased. It's almost like a guarantees that the fight you want to see will be exciting.
The BMF should be annual. The BMF of 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024...It could motivate fighters in all classes to put it on the line every fight.

The BMF belt should only change hands on Ko/Tko. If Ilia cant put Max away he doesn't get it. It also keeps it in the realm of real fighters who are not going to wrestle fro 25 minutes. As much as i love good wrestlers, the BMF should only change hands on a finish.

IMO, Topuria does not meet the requirements for the BMF belt. I’m not saying he’s not good, he’s obviously a champion caliber fighter, but not quite BMF. Justin taking a fight where he had nothing to gain and everything to lose - BMF. Max fighting the biggest KO artist in a division above him - BMF. Topuria skipped over Max. The BMF is not strictly a ranking based belt
Max wants that rematch with volk and its incredibly hard to get with his losses to him.. if he gets the 45 belt that fight is literally his next fight. Thats his motivation.

No, only specific type of fighters should get it. Usman KO'd Masvidal, it doesn't mean that he should get the BMF belt.

The UFC has a problem. Ilia needs to be told who to fight and NO BMF. Shut him up and book him the Perth fight for the rematch with Volk. Ilia needs Dana White to notch him down just a tad.
I think the BMF should be relinquished once a fighter becomes champion but if he loses he has the chance to fight for an open BMF 1st against someone else. No BMF can be carried by a champion. It just becomes open upon going into championship fights. All BMF titles are picked by the fans as the fan favorites as deemed BMF contenders. We can’t have wrestling crotch sniffers with a BMF belt.
