He wrote an entire masterpiece of a song that doesn’t have a chorus. True genius.
That's no song, that's an epic poem.
This has got to be one of the best songs EVER written.
The single greatest opening line in any song ever. It paints a visual clearer than any movie could.
This is freaking great. Look at how relaxed, yet prepared and ready to chat Bruce is here. Craziness. This whole interview was lightning in a bottle.
He’s played this song countless times yet somehow still manages to inject so much emotion into it. Beyond amazing…
"I can't play it anymore".....proceeds to play and sing it flawless!!!!!
Bruce has become such a great interviewee over the last 5 years or so. I really think it's a direct consequence of the introspection required to write his book.
I love how he tells Howard he doesn’t remember Thunder Road, and then he kills it and he brings him to tears, how appropriate. Legend Bruce Springsteen. ❤
Bruce’s voice is the best it’s sounded in years.
Still in the original key.. What a fucking great singer/songwriter....
A national treasure.
How is he 73? He looks at least 10 years younger. What a legend!
No wonder Howard cried, it had to be a friggin out of this world experience to have this legend tell you about how he made one of the greatest songs of all time, while playing a softer rendition of it only to you.
Brings a tear to your eye, doesn't it?
Bruce has brought myself and millions of others so much hapiness over the decades. His music has been a constant companion to me. Greetings from Manchester, England!
His voice is still amazing. Probably the best version of this he has ever done
Must have listened to this song 1000 times and it is still heartbreakingly beautiful - and what a wonderfull version..!
Not a Springsteen fan but I can appreciate a beautiful well written song. That was beautiful.
