you guys have been telling me about these side quests for a while now, so im glad im finally getting around to doing them! they were a lot of fun. any of the quests that involve the camera in this game are always good
and now hopefully the people of Hyrule will know and remember who link is!

  • my theory is that Link is almost always seen out and about with Zelda so people just do not recognize him when she isn't with him lol. I think Symin says (heh) when you talk to him something like "oh link -- if you're here, that means the princess is here and safe too!" and you gotta be all like "about thaaaat...."

    • Symin even welcomes Link back to the village and says he's returned specifically in Japanese but everyone else thinks he's a random traveler. It's explained by some NPCS that they think he's a random guy with the same name as Link but not THE Link. Which is hilarious tbh, and kind of makes sense in a world without television

    • @@kit76149 heck, i once saw a professional baseball player watching a rec basketball game at a community center in st. louis. we were like the only two people watching the game so it wasn't like... it was just really unexpected for him to be there lol. i watch a lottttt of baseball and i still had to look at his tattoos to make sure he was who i thought he was. long story short is recognizing people you don't know personally is harder than you might think!

  • For the “goron soaking in hot springs” one I just did a really close up photo of a gorons face that covers the whole frame(you can’t even see the hot spring in it) and it terrifies me whenever I enter that stable (I know it’s unrelated but i don’t care lmao)

  • The reason people don't recognise Link or don't hear him when he walks by, it's because he is partially a ghost now. His spirit arm makes him... like... 15% ghost or something, I don't know ghost math. And that's also the reason why evryone is scared of him when you talk up to them, they don't see him properly and can only do when he manifest himself to them.

    • It's because they don't think he's the hero Link, just a guy with the same name or something. Some people will even tell you this. "You're lucky to have the same name as Zelda's favored swordsman" is one line you can come across. So they think he's a random blonde traveler and not actually Link in the flesh. He's essentially tony hawk of hyrule

Also just an fyi to what you send during the Daruk Sculpture one, the other Champions do have some recognition with Mipha Court being the most obvious, and Riju also name drops Urbosa in her diary. Revali though I don’t think has anything.

  • Link is absolutely the sort of character who would unironically start growling and snarling when he sees pictures of himself, like a dog growling at a mirror. The only exceptions are pictures he remembers taking himself and that one picture of the Champions.

  • Hi Quin c: I’m currently watching this video on my TV with my twin sons. They’re 3, and they both love “playing” Totk. Aka giving them unplugged controllers and putting gameplay with no commentary on the tv. But they LOVE watching you, and pretending they’re playing alongside you. So, I’m sending all the love from Carter (C-Man) and Jackson (Jack Jack)

  • This was such a funny video! Such a good idea to make the quest more interesting like that lol. Also pLEASE do the Great Plataeu quest, we all know you have beef with the goddess statues but just hear 'em out, it's a really good quest with interesting lore. :)

    • The spring goddess statues are also good to do (talk to the giant overturned goddess statue in the forgotten temple. I think it starts the quest). I just did them yesterday and found out that's how you get a certain weapon. Heard rumors of it existing in the game but didn't know how to get it. There's also quests tied to typlo ruins too.

  • Speaking of the most incredible side quests involving the highest quality photos the Purah Pad can muster: speak to Kilton and Hudson in Terry Town after the Mattison quest is complete. I never see anyone talking about it and it is the absolute best thing ever!
